King's Quest Looks To Be A Hand Painted Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new behind the scenes video for King's Quest has been released showing off how the artists make King's Quest look the way it does We've already heard how King's Quest is going to sound and a bit of how it is going to look but do we really know? Do we really know all of the blood, sweat, tears, paint, and love that The Odd Gentlemen are putting into the game? Of course we can all assume at this point or King's Quest wouldn't have been allowed to be made but what tells us better is a nice, handy, behind-the-scenes video. Such a video that we have just a bit lower so we can see how King's Quest is being made to look like things are hand painted from the ground up. Read More...

Great Scott! We Have Some LEGO Dimensions Gameplay To Look At
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Another promo video for LEGO Dimensions has been released from TT Games and this time we get a look at some gameplay for LEGO Dimensions So not only do we have a new promotional video for LEGO Dimensions starring none other than Doc Brown himself but we also have a nice new bit of gameplay showing off the Back To The Future dimension for the game. Pretty much just like we had back when TT Games and Warner Bros. first showed off the game only with the actor and from the sounds of things voice actor for the game. Read More...

Many Reasons Just To Listen To The King's Quest Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for King's Quest has been released showing off the voice cast that will help The Odd Gentlemen bring King's Quest to life With a great narrative franchise like King's Quest has had and what we expect in our games moving forward, The Odd Gentlemen have their work cut out for them. Especially give the franchise's past and what nostalgic gamers are going to want to see from the new iteration of the franchise. I don't envy the developer at all here as they have a huge light on them and fans of the franchise over the long run will be rough. Read More...

LEGO Dimensions Will Have Doctor Who & Portal Among The Worlds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A few instruction booklets have made it online to confirm a few other dimensions we will be going to in LEGO Dimensions in the near future Since LEGO Dimensions was announced early last April it has been a huge question as to all of the "dimensions" that could be included in the game. Ideally it would include ever property that LEGO has licensed over the years but we have had only a very truncated list thus far with TT Games and Warner Bros. promising many more on the way. Well it would seem a few of those LEGO Dimensions announcements may have made it online a bit earlier than they wanted as we know have seen Doctor Who and Portal 2 among the list of dimensions and toys we will get to play with when the game launches on September 29th. Night Terrors Could Become Your Reality… In Your Own Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new Augmented Reality Game, Night Terrors, is trying to raise funds to try and bring real but fake terror into our homes Earlier this week we had the devastation that Silent Hills was canceled so let's get back on a horror highlight with Night Terrors. This would be an augmented reality game that is looking to hit the levels of terror that the prior title mentioned was claiming as well. The big kicker here is that Night Terrors won't be using virtual world interactions to bring the terror. Instead it is slated to get you up and moving about your own home where the ghosts and demons are actually lurking. Read More...

There Is A Longer Wait For Dead Island 2 As It's Been Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Sad news as Dead Island 2 has been delayed due to unreleased reasons but to make Dead Island 2 a better game You can't tell me you are all that shocked to hear that Dead Island 2 has been delayed here. The original release schedule put it on task to be released Spring of 2015 and since that is about to come to a close and we haven't had much in the way of updates since August of last year it would seem that Deep Silver or Yager were going to make this announcement sometime soon. Sadly though that announcement is today as Dead Island 2 has been pushed back to a 2016 release instead of a 2015 release. There must be so much going on over there since it wasn't just pushed back to later this year but then again Dead Island 2 did sound like quite the undertaking before. Read More...

The Alan Wake 2 Game That May Never Be…Sadly
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay demo for Alan Wake 2 has made its way online to show us the Alan Wake 2 game we may never get It always sucks when a game like Alan Wake 2 will never see the light of day. Pun intended. What sucks more is when you get to see what the game could have been via gameplay demo and proof of concept work. That is what we have here to spread the hurt from Remedy moving on to do Quantum Break over Alan Wake 2 for their next huge title. The prior looks amazing and don't get me wrong, I still want it, but after seeing what the team was doing for Alan Wake 2 it is quite upsetting that we may have to be left waiting for a long time to see anything you are about to see hit our Xbox One or Xbox 360. Time To Join The Trans-Galactic Tournament A F2P MOBA On PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of April 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
We now have our first look at Trans-Galactic Tournament, a free to play MOBA coming for the PS4 from Kiz Studios I can hear the groans already coming for Trans-Galactic Tournament as we have the words Free-To-Play and MOBA being thrown around for this new PS4 game. If you can try to look past all of that for a moment you may be able to see the game that Kiz Studios is working that should really be labeled "What if the Star Wars cantina starred in an 80’s cartoon, which suddenly broke out into a football match, which suddenly broke out into WrestleMania?" I only really see a little of any of that in the following gameplay trailer for Trans-Galactic Tournament but maybe I am already jaded by the original label that comes with the stigma for free. To be honest Trans-Galactic Tournament sounds to be a lot like your standard MOBA style games. Read More...

Spies Are Taking Over Your PS4 With Invisible, Inc.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
Today Klei Entertainment has announced Invisible, Inc. is coming to the PS4 and will let you control a groups of elite spies; for fun and profit Not only is it a clever name for the upcoming spy game but Invisible, Inc. looks like it is going to keep the steam roller going for Klei Entertainment with another hit. At least that is how I am seeing this new announcement as I loved Don't Starve and have been looking forward to what the developer may come up with next. I fully recommend you playing that game to get ready for Invisible, Inc. Read More...

Time To Build Our Way Into New Worlds With LEGO Dimensions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
TT Games and Warner Bros. have announced LEGO Dimensions which is another title that mixes real toys with digital worlds Just in case you didn't have enough clutter around with Disney Infinity and Skylanders it looks like we are getting another toy-to-game mash-up with LEGO Dimensions. This would be the next new LEGO title coming from TT Games and Warner Bros.; at least if you forget about that LEGO Jurassic World title on its way as well. None the less we are getting LEGO Dimensions but the cool thing here is that the developers have taken a few great steps to separate this title from all of the other titles out there as you get to actually build the toys you will be sending into the game. Quantum Break Is Officially Delayed Until 2016
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Microsoft Studios has officially announced that Quantum Break will be coming in 2016 now instead of the original release window It was rumored and "misunderstood" before that Quantum Break was on the delayed list for titles this year. Remedy Games made sure that we were all corrected at the time and led us to believe that Quantum Break was still going to be hitting the Xbox One sometime this year. Most likely late this year. Sadly though it looks like Microsoft Studios is reneging on those statements and has officially put Quantum Break on the 2016 bench now. Read More...

Review — Hand Of Fate
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of March 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Hand Of Fate. Is this a sleeper hit that you need to try or just another game to throw aside? Here's Our Video Review Have you heard of Hand Of Fate from Defiant Development? Maybe you have and maybe you haven't but it is an interesting take on quite a few different video game genres and physical card games and RPGs. Think something along the lines of Magic: The Gathering meets a Tarot deck with a bit of a Dungeons & Dragons flare mixed in. It sounds a bit odd from that description; it did to me too, but is it worth your time and attention? Read More...

ScreamRide Is Coming & We'll Be Able To Scare Riders Sooner
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
ScreamRide has a new launcher trailer and a bit of information on the Demo that is available today for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 ScreamRide had to be one of the more bizarre titles I saw at E3 during the Microsoft Conference. This would be the title from Frontier Developments where we will get to make some insane roller coaster or amusement rides all in the vein of generating screams. More or less a torture simulator when you split hairs only that the NPCs involved in the game don't seem to get injured and love being placed in life-threatening situations. Most people wouldn't find ScreamRide fun, I would think, if there were truly being injured. Read More...

A New Friday The 13th Game Is In The Works For 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
It's been announced that there is a new Friday The 13th title in the works from Crystal Lake Entertainment and an un-named developer Good news for us horror fans, maybe, as there is a new Friday The 13th video game in the works. This is to go hand in hand with the new TV show and film but hopefully will not be solely a tie-in for the franchise. Details are still sparse on it all since the news dropper "exclusively" on EGM Now but that does not mean we don't have at least the basics as we wait for the anything visual for this new Friday The 13th game. It's been over 25 years now since Jason graced our video games so it is high time and Crystal Lake Entertainment thinks they need to get piece of the gaming pie again. Read More...
