Review — The Council: Burning Bridges
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of October 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Council We sit down and review The Council: Burning Bridges. This is the fourth episode of Big Bad Wolf’s interesting take on history & the occult. Here’s our review of The Council: Burning Bridges The story continues as The Council: Burning Bridges is out and ready for those following along with this tale to download. It has been a fun ride so far and now we are here with the next to final episode of it all from Big Bad Wolf. That should mean that we get to see some big story reveals and shocks to see if they will be able to get Focus Home Interactive to think about another season of The Council of if this going to be a one and done kind of deal. Delve Deeper Down The Path Of Madness With Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of September 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu New gameplay for Call Of Cthulhu has sprung up to show us some of the darker sides of Call Of Cthulhu as well as some of the true horrors that wait If you have been hoping for new gameplay for Call Of Cthulhu, then we are here to offer it up. It is also not the same rehashing of the same footage but actually some new gameplay that Cyanide Studios put together to show off some of the true horrors that the game will house. At least as true horror in terms of the elder gods that we can get in video game form. I mean, it does look like they are playing well with the sanity portion of Call Of Cthulhu, but there is no real way to get that point across without forcing the human to truly go mad. Read More...

Bridges Are Going To Burn In The Next Episode Of The Council
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of September 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The Council New screenshots for the fourth episode of The Council are here and it looks like the story of The Council is taking a darker turn The next episode of The Council is almost upon us as September 25th is the date we will be able to continue this story of alternate history and intrigue. Not only the next episode, but the fourth (will not use that specific word) one from Big Bad Wolf as they expand on all of this to even greater heights. Some heights that have been placed way up there in terms of the episodic storytelling genre that The Council is in and many other needs to borrow from. At least in my own opinion as the RPG elements of it all definitely keep things going where other would have a massive lull. Read More...

Call Of Cthulhu Will Invade Your Mind With An Hour Of New Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of September 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu During a recent livestream, the first hour of Call Of Cthulhu was shown off to the world to helps get a deeper feel for Call Of Cthulhu Get ready to kind of spoil the first hour of Call Of Cthulhu as we have pretty much that to look at here. It is all in the a current beta form and according to those over at Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive, not exactly what we will have in the final game. There is still a lot of time before Call Of Cthulhu hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC if you want to look at just over a month as a lot of time. October 30th is still the launch date for it all so I am not sure how much more they can change between now and then, but that is assuming the following demo is taken from a build that is as recent as to what will be pressed to discs. It’s Time For The Good, The Bad, And The Augmented In The Surge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of September 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge The next DLC for The Surge is here to look at and it looks like we are going to have a western in our Sci-Fi of a RPG in The Surge It looks like the DLC train for The Surge has not stopped as we have a new bit coming at us now with The Good, The Bad, And The Augmented. While Deck 13 is working on the next title in the franchise, it does look like there was some time to put us all in a Wild West themed version of the game here to add to the Sci-Fi fun we have been having so far. That seems like a weird sentence to write, but given some of our entertainment currently, this can fit into The Surge I guess. We will know for certain on October 2nd when it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC though. Read More...

Take A Walk Through Some New Gameplay For A Plague Tale: Innocence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale The gameplay from A Plague Tale: Innocence’s E3 demo is now here for all to see and experience all of the gameplay options in A Plague Tale Just in case my words from the E3 impressions for A Plague Tale: Innocence did not paint the best brain picture for you, or you just wanted to see how the gameplay actually rolled out, then get ready for a whole lot of it out of Gamescom. It seems like a long wait for Asobo Studio to actually give this out the public in a solid way, but it is what it is. Do not knock it or we will not get it in the future and we will be regulated to secondhand updates from Focus Home Interactive instead. Read More...

Walk The Path Of Madness While Investigating In Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of August 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu New gameplay for Call Of Cthulhu is here from Gamescom and this time it highlights more of the investigation gameplay we will experience in Call Of Cthulhu I hope you are ready for some solid investigation action in Call Of Cthulhu, because that is a good portion of the game. This should not be a huge surprise to anyone who has played the tabletop game or seen anything Cyanide Studios has teased for the game so far. It has not been a huge secret. It has not been a huge focus in many of the gameplay videos we have had for Call Of Cthulhu and it looks like Focus Home Interactive has opted to let that door fly even further open by giving us yet another look at it all. Fear The Wolves Is Finally Hitting Early Access On Steam
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Fear The Wolves The new date for Fear The Wolves’ Early Access has been set and we can all look to be playing Fear The Wolves before the end of August It looks as if that delay that Fear The Wolves had was just as short as we were all promised as we now know when the Early Access will be hitting Steam. The PS4 and Xbox One gamers will still need to wait until 2019 to actually get hands-on with the game, but Vostok Games has made their changes since the closed beta and we can now expect to be playing the game before the end of August. That does not leave much room for those keeping current count of the days. Read More...

Review — The Council: Ripples
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Council We sit down and review The Council: Ripples. This is the third episode of Big Bad Wolf’s interesting take on history & the occult. Here’s our review of The Council: Ripples The intrigue continues as The Council: Ripples has dropped out there and we have now had a chance to play it through. There is something huge building in the game and it looks like we are about to hit the point Big Bad Wolf has been building toward. At least it feels that way as we are now at the midpoint of The Council with this episode. Read More...

Fear The Wolves’ Early Access Has Been Pushed Back A Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Fear The Wolves The Early Access for Fear The Wolves has been pushed back a bit as the closed beta for Fear The Wolves found a few things that needed work If you were looking forward to the Early Access for Fear The Wolves to hit our PCs, then you will need to take a seat as it looks like it has been pushed back just a bit. It has been pushed back from July 18th to sometime this Summer as Vostok Games wanted to put some extra work into the game before Focus Home Interactive dropped it out there for order or purchase. It does not sound like there is anything completely wrong with Fear The Wolves, but the closed beta that recently concluded did have some things that were not up to their wants and needs so it was pushed. Halloween May Be All Filled With Call Of Cthulhu After All
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu The release date for Call Of Cthulhu has been refined down further as it looks like we could be playing Call Of Cthulhu by Halloween this year After kind of "leaking" before, it looks like we may have a solid release date for Call Of Cthulhu now as it has shown up on the Steam page for the game. While not official word from Focus Home Interactive or Cyanide Studios, it does look to be about on par with what we have been told and figured it would be for a while now. It was just Autumn 2018 before. Read More...

The Next Episode Of The Council Will Be Causing Ripples Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The Council The release date for The Council’s third episode has been set and we will most likely see some huge changes in The Council due to its events It has been another bit of time since the last episode of The Council dropped on us and now we need to get ready for the third. It looks like Big Bad Wolf is ready to continue the great story it has been setting up as the third episode will now drop on July 24th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hopefully, you have been keeping up with The Council so far as it has been a great ride thus far; it has just been a little rough with the breaks between as it has some very in-depth plot to have to remember in the gaps. I am just glad that it has not been a huge gap like other episodic titles have done in the past. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — A Plague Tale: Innocence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale While at E3, I was able to see A Plague Tale: Innocence in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on A Plague Tale: Innocence. Another E3 has come and we had another year where we had a chance to check out A Plague Tale: Innocence. This would be that interesting stealth-adventure game that Asobo Studio has been working on that is set in 14th century France where we are being swarmed by rats and need to survive. Not only that but in A Plague Tale: Innocence the innocence stands refers to the protagonist(s) of the story as we take on the role of two young children in the mix of all of this. Time to add another dark yet interesting title to the list for Focus Home Interactive. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Cthulhu in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Call Of Cthulhu. The madness continues to flow as we are still left waiting for Call Of Cthulhu to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we did get another great showing of the game while on the floor out at E3. While I know I was hoping to be able to actually play and experience what Cyanide Studios has for the game so far, it was not meant to be as it was not playable on the floor again. Thankfully, though, Focus Home Interactive had us all covered to show off a bit more for Call Of Cthulhu and get us ready for its imminent release of sometime this year. Read More...
