Gang Beasts Has Been Given A Full Release Date
by Jana Lass [ Tuesday, 28th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Gang Beasts The full release date for Gang Beasts has been set and we can see Gang Beasts hitting Steam on PC and PS4 early this December It looks like we are getting another game added into the mix to keep our holiday spirits up as Gang Beasts is hitting the PS4 and coming out of Early Access on Steam this December 12th. It looks like fans of the game so far can expect to dive into Beef City properly soon and take to the multiple modes of the game that Boneloaf and Double Fine have prepped for us all. If the early play and videos for Gang Beasts are any indication it looks like we can supplant those awkward family feuds and fights into this silly multiplayer game where we are hurting only the gelatinous characters we have dressed up instead of your siblings. As has been the case for some time, Gun Media brought a whole lot more to the convention as we all still wait for that Early 2017 release date to finally come so we can start killing everyone on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. In terms of what they actually brought was a look at many of the never seen kills, Locations, and Jasons for Friday The 13th: The Game that Illfonic has been plugging away at so we can all experience the fun. A New Borderlands Title Has Been Confirmed But Not Named
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of April 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Borderlands It was assumed that a new Borderlands was on its way but it has been confirmed that a new Borderlands is on the plate after Battleborn releases I was pretty certain that a new Borderlands was all but confirmed already as it has been such a well-received franchise but now we have a 100% confirmation that one is coming. At least it will be coming sometime after Gearbox has completed Battleborn and all of the DLC they have in the works for the title. But now all of you Borderlands fans can rest assured that we have another one coming at some point due to a nice little talk that happened at PAX East where the news and confirmation was put out there. Have A Look At Boss Key's Project BlueStreak In Pre-Alpha
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
At PAX East Boss Key showed off a pre-alpha teaser for Project BlueStreak, the developer's first title currently in the works If you missed out the first look at Project BlueStreak during PAX East then you are in luck as we are here to help you out. It looks like Boss Key Productions, the studio started by Cliff Bleszinski after he retired and then came back into game development, only wanted to make those who were able to attend the panel during the convention feel special for a few days as now the whole world can see the non-pirated video. Okay, that may be a little harsh if taken out of context but none the less we have the first pre-alpha teaser for Project BlueStreak which is the developers first upcoming title that will be, as we could guess, an FPS using the Unreal 4 engine to build an run the whole thing. I'm sure you want to see what is in store for us with Project BlueStreak and the high frame-rate that Boss Key wants to ensure we have with the game so I'll let you have a watch. Read More...

Overwatch Has Two New Characters To Add To The Roster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2015 - 08:01 PM ]
During the Blizzard PAX East Panel it was revealed that there are two new characters for their upcoming shooter Overwatch In case you were not able to catch what Blizzard had to show for Overwatch at PAX East, then you should know that there have been two new characters announced for the game. Not too surprising given the past of Overwatch and the fact that we all want to have as many options when it comes to our shooters online. Especially when it is all team based and set in a pretty fantastical world. This now brings us up to 14 "heroes" total to choose from in Overwatch. Read More...

Dying Light Is Filled With As Many Easter Eggs As Zombies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of February 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Dying Light Easter Eggs have been popping up all over the internet since its launch last week and here are some of the better ones Dying Light is full of all kinds of missions and things to experience. I played quite a bit of the game so we could bring you a great review to read and use as a deciding factor if you should give the game a play. In the process of it all though as I had to focus elsewhere I missed out on a lot of really cool little Easter Eggs that Techland placed in the mix of the core game. I feel bad and now need to replay Dying Light to go and find what else I may have missed but you don't have to as I've collected a couple of the cooler Easter Eggs that could go missed if you don't have all the time in the world to search the game's world or the internet. Shadow Of The Beast Looks Re-Imagined As Another God Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of August 2013 - 09:45 PM ]
A little history lesson here. Back in the very late 80's and early 90's there was a game called Shadow Of The Beast that also spawned two sequels. Lesson over. Now in the coming year(s) here we are getting a "Re-Imagining" of the game exclusively on the PlayStation 4. That is really the all the information that has been announced so far outside of the following teaser trailer. Not even a developer and I think it is safe to assume that Sony will be publishing it, but who knows. So let's sit back and speculate based on what we get to see here. Read More...

PAX East Panel: Red5 Studios
by Fred Buell [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2013 - 08:15 PM ]
This past PAX East 2013 I was lucky enough to be seated in a room with several other members of the press and general attendees to hear about all things Red5. Let's first talk about Red5's Firefall. I first got to play and look at Firefall at last year's PAX East. The game is still in beta and being constantly worked on and taking serious looks at what the fans want in the game. Right off the bat of this presser was informative and entertaining. They have moved away from the previous 'Tier' and 'Level' based system and instead opted for a gear based system. Read More...

PAX East Hands On: Swimsanity
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 28th of March 2013 - 06:13 PM ]
One of the last titles I got to see at PAX East was an incredible amount fun and I'm not just saying that because I got to beat my friends down in it. Swimsanity was one of my favorite titles that I got to play at PAX East. The best part is it's not even finished yet. I got to speak with the whole team of Decoy Games, a new indie developer company that is responsible for the amazing Swimsanity and they confirmed that there will be many more features and maps besides what's been showcased at PAX East. Decoy Games is an independent gaming company started by two brothers, Ahmed and Khalil Abdullah. After exploring their passion for gaming, and finding they had an ability to create games, they began to build what they call team Decoy. Read More...

PAX East Interview: WildStar
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 27th of March 2013 - 08:59 PM ]
Last week I had the pleasure of snagging WildStar's Senior 3D Artist, Stephan Williams, for an interview and demo of Carbine Studio's and NC Soft's upcoming MMORPG. Although he was not able to answer every question we sure hounded him for a solid twenty minutes or so. I was joined with two special guests, TJ Jensen and Erik Gmitter. Together we were blown away by the amazing graphics, animations, and features that they had to show off in the PAX East demo. The story behind WildStar is thus; the home world of the long lost Eldan civilization has just been rediscovered and everyone in the galaxy is racing to find out its secrets. Read More...

PAX East Hands On: Daylight
by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 27th of March 2013 - 04:19 PM ]
I’ve said it before; it's tough not to grab my attention when I get shown a video game. But it is tough to pull me away from one that already has my attention. Zombie Studios showcased their game Daylight at the Astro Headset Booth, which was close to Square Enix, my favorite developer/publisher, and right next to Wizards of the Coast, makers of my favorite TCG, Magic: The Gathering. This is an incredibly difficult location for a game to be showcased if it wants to keep my attention. Zombie Studios had no trouble reaching that feat. Read More...

PAX East Impressions: Guacamelee!
by Fred Buell [ Tuesday, 26th of March 2013 - 11:28 PM ]
This weekend I got to sit down with Graham Smith the co-founder of Drinkbox Studios. He showed me Drinkbox's new game Guacamelee! and I must say it's a nice blend of classic Metroidvania style action and Megaman style platforming. Guacamelee! has a 'dual world' feature where you have to jump through portals to navigate the levels. These two worlds are called The World of the Living and The World of the Dead. You will come across enemies that are shrouded in shadow that cannot be attacked, as they are in the other world, but simply jumping in a portal will allow you to defeat said enemy. Read More...
