Without Escape
A new graphic adventure title, Without Escape, is here and Without Escape aims to take us back to the horrors of the early ’90s gameplay
You can now scratch an old itch, if you had it, for some classic ’90s first-person graphic adventure, as Without Escape is here for the PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and Switch. So many different platforms for this little indie title from Bumpy Trail Games. That can be a great thing to get this title in more hands and see if there is still a market for this style of gameplay. Without Escape does lean into the point-and-click style FMV gameplay that was all the rage in the earlier days of video games. There has to be some out there still looking for this kind of fun. This looks to be the title for you.
It is hard to understand what is going on in Without Escape here, but it looks like we will be trying to escape our room or home in the game. Something that looks to do a Silent Hill style shift along the way as we try to figure out what is going on and get out with our life. It is something that has worked well in the past and I can see Without Escape taking a solid swing at it. Hopefully with a swing that will allow the developer to press forward into other ventures and experiences for us all. That is the great thing with little gems like this, if they all pan out.
