Relive The Story That Will Lead Up To Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Metro A nice recap of the Metro story so far is here to get us all ready for when Metro Exodus finally launches next year It has been some time between the last title in the series and when we will be seeing Metro Exodus. About five years or so have passed by in the real world and about two in the game world. There is a whole lot of information that we could have missed or let slip through since 4A Games delivered us a title in the franchise. That means that there is a lot riding on Metro Exodus at this point so we may need to recap a few things before diving in on February 15th. Read More...

Enjoy The Human Side Of Adventuring With Outward
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Outward The release date for Outward is now set and we have a breakdown of how Outward will differ from the many other RPGs out there Maybe you have been looking for a different way to go at the traditional RPG style of games as of late. If that is the case then I am here to show you Outward as it has been saddled with a release date now and we can see this new take on the genre hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in March of next year. In fact, Deep Silver has set the date down as March 26th of 2019 where we will be experiencing the new RPG from Nine Dots in full. Granted, RPGs may not be your jam, but Outward offers up a new way to look at it all as we play as a random human in the world we have been given here. Read More...

At least for those who have been waiting to get their hands on the latest from 4A Games. The game has finally gone gold and it will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC a week earlier than expected. Now we will be able to start playing Metro Exodus on February 15th of 2019 instead of February 22nd as we were told by Deep Silver the last time we had a release date to go for the game. Read More...

Review — Pathfinder: Kingmaker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of October 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Pathfinder We sit down and review Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Can they bring the tabletop RPG into a digital world? Here is our review of Pathfinder: Kingmaker It is not the first time, and most likely not the last, that a tabletop game like Pathfinder: Kingmaker has been optioned to head toward a video game side of things. Something that Owlcat Games went out of their way to get funded, started, and then published on the PC. From Kickstarter to landing Deep Silver publishing the game, we are finally at a place where we can play Pathfinder: Kingmaker all by ourselves and not need to schedule a full table to play. Start Planning On How To Create Your Character For Pathfinder: Kingmaker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of September 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Pathfinder A new look at the character creation process for Pathfinder: Kingmaker is here and we get to see how replayable this version of Pathfinder can be The day is almost here and we can all take a shot at the Pathfinder: Kingmaker adventure path in its new virtual form. This has been a title I have been keeping a close eye on for some time now and September 25th is almost here. Now we have a look at how we are going to be crafting our Pathfinder character here and it truly looks like Owlcat Games has taken their time to make sure we have the same feel as if we were sitting around a table with friends. Even if we do not get the full array of options that we would if we went pen and paper. Read More...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Will Have Us Telling Tales Around The Taverns
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of September 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Pathfinder A new look at Pathfinder: Kingmaker shows off some new gameplay as well as how some of the grand Pathfinder adventures can be told in the game We have one more look at Pathfinder: Kingmaker here just weeks before it hits the PC on September 25th. I am not talking about the tabletop version of the adventure path here for those who have been left in the lurch about the video game version, but I am talking about the new game from Owlcat Games that was kickstarted and then picked up by Deep Silver. I hope you have been following along with it all so far as it has been looking like an insanely viable option to playing this adventure in the Pathfinder universe while not needing a set table and time to play it all. That can be the most difficult part of it all in the modern nights now. Read More...

Things Are Getting Darker In The World Of Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro A new trailer for Metro Exodus has released from Gamescom to show us how much darker the world of Metro can get as we travel above ground As if the horrors of walking around in the world of Metro Exodus were not enough, we have even more to look out for and the latest trailer from Gamescom nails this home a bit more. So far from what 4A Games has shown the world for the game, it has not been too bleak or dark. At least in terms of more than what we already have been getting in the franchise thus far. Read More...

Metro Exodus Has a Limited Aurora Edition To Pre-Order Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of August 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus The pre-orders are up for Metro Exodus and with that comes all of the other ways you can pick up Metro Exodus before launch February 22nd is still a ways off, but now you can make sure you secure your copy of Metro Exodus well in advance. That is right. The pre-orders for the game have gone up and 4A Games is ready for you to throw down your cash and prove to Deep Silver that the game will bring the money back in. Not that anyone had much of a worry about that just yet. We just needed a fancier way of saying that the pre-orders are out there for Metro Exodus and that there will be a few different options for said pre-order. Read More...

Change The Stolen Lands Forever As Pathfinder: Kingmaker Launches In September
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Pathfinder The release date for Pathfinder: Kingmaker has been set and we will be mixing it all up in the Stolen Lands of Pathfinder in extremely short order One more update is here for Pathfinder: Kingmaker and it is a big one here. We finally have a release date for the digital version of this adventure path that has captured many imaginations and Owlcat Games has poured in so much time and effort into bringing it to life. For me, it was a bit of a concern that Pathfinder: Kingmaker would have been pushed out way out there given that the title had been picked up by Deep Silver. Thankfully, it does not look like they have done much to change the team's original idea but made it so they did not have to worry about where their funds are coming from. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Dead Island Another addition to the Dead Island franchise is here as Dead Island: Survivors has launched and available for your mobile device now If you were hoping for some more zombie killing fun, then get ready as Dead Island: Survivors has been launched today for all of those needs. Yes, today as Fishlabs wanted to get this out for us all to play and get back into the world of the franchise. All in a kind of base defense game that will bring us all of the fun and nostalgia of the original Dead Island but mobile for the iOS and Android platforms. It may not be the official sequel we have been waiting for since Deep Silver announced that so long ago, but it is something to hold us over. Read More...

New Gameplay For Metro Exodus Is Here To Explain Even More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus Even more gameplay for Metro Exodus is here from E3 and this bit explains a bit more than some of us did not get to experience in Metro Exodus so far If there is a true testament to how large the world of Metro Exodus and how vast the gameplay mechanics are in the game, it has to be with this latest showing of gameplay that we have here today. I was personally able to sit down and give the game a bit of a play a few weeks ago and see just what 4A Games had for us and, while impressed, apparently I missed out a whole lot given the different variations we all could have gone. That is why it is nice for Deep Silver to have a few more of these gameplay videos cut that highlight even more of the demo shown at E3 for Metro Exodus as I know I totally missed them all. E3 Hands On — Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus While at E3, I was able to see Metro Exodus in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Metro Exodus. After all the plagues of delays, I was finally able to get my hands on Metro Exodus this year out at E3 and see how the game has advanced over its predecessors. Sure, we have seen quite a few interesting trailers in the past and a few tech demos where 4A Games has shown off the game's engine, but graphics do not make a game. It makes it look pretty and in a game like Metro Exodus it helps with the immersion, but it is not the sole reason to give the game a chance. Read More...

Metro Exodus Has Been Delayed Just A Bit But It Could Be A Good Thing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus A slight delay for Metro Exodus is set out there and now we will not be seeing Metro Exodus until early 2019 instead of late 2018 Do not expect to see Metro Exodus anytime this year, at least in its final form, as it has now been quietly delayed. I say quietly as there was not a huge announcement or statement out there from 4A Games or Deep Silver on it not hitting the PS4, Xbox One, or PC in late 2018 and now aiming for Q1 2019. No, this update was kind of slipped into the middle of the full statement on the parent company's earnings report. Something that a casual fan who is excited for Metro Exodus may have missed but, thankfully, you have us out there skimming through it all and catching it. Read More...

Metro Exodus Will Have Some Spectacular Real-Time Ray Tracing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus A new GDC demo for Metro Exodus has released and it gives us a new look at an old area to show how Metro Exodus will use RTX technology in game As if there was a doubt before that Metro Exodus was going to be the best-looking title in the line of titles so far, we have a new tech demo fresh from GDC that shows us just how amazing the game can look. This all comes from a collaboration between 4A Games and NVidia to use their new RTX technology in the 4A Engine. Yes, I know that sounds like a lot of technobabble for some gamers out there but it does all tie back into Metro Exodus. Read More...
