The story is starting to unfold for Saints Row as we have a new trailer that shows off the narrative we will play in Saints Row
If you have played a Saints Row game in the past, you might know that most of the stories we have had are a little over-the-top. It is all about a street gang that seems to do things too well and set up a massive criminal empire. One, in the past, has led to one becoming president, fighting aliens, and getting into a musical with Satan. To say Saints Row has had some weird stories would be a bit of an understatement. This is why it is interesting to see the story we are getting here from Volition on August 23rd for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. All of which look like it will still flow to the same level we have seen in the past.
Just as you can see here for Saints Row, we are going to start out as a basic street gang that is done being the low-level thugs out there. Now the crew wants to set out and create their own criminal empire and take over the whole area. All with some of the usual villains and criminal elements out there but also with the weird ones that fit right in. All so we can be on top and run the city. So, more or less the same plot we have had in the past, but with this Saints Row trying to be a bit more grounded with things. I am sure that will go out the window as soon as we start in on the various criminal elements and gameplay we have already seen, but did we all want something else from the IP? I know I am getting exactly what I was hoping for here.

Were you expecting something different for this Saints Row here or did you expect it to go all-in on the craziness the IP has been known for? Will the game eventually go to the levels of bonkers the other title did or will it just end with us being on top and looking to rule the rest of the lands?
