Gold With A Bit Of Awesome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2008 - 04:47 PM ]
Dead Space Has Gone Gold So they announced today that Dead Space has gone gold. No surprise there with the release date no more than two weeks away. And that they have bumped the release date forward twice now. So like I said, no big surprise with that announcement, but there is a cool little extra that they are offering up for those people who purchase and play the game before the original release date they posted. See below, there is some cool exclusive downloadable outfits for the game. Dependable on the system you get the game on. Read More...

Left 4 Dead demo coming to both 360 and PC
by Sam [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2008 - 11:57 PM ]
Gabe Newell has announced a playable demo of the co-op survival horror game Left 4 Dead that will be released for both Xbox 360 and PC and will feature both single player mode and online co-op play. Newell states: "I don't know what the date is for release [of the demo] though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be Hospital but I'm not sure." The game is to hit shelves at the end of November, so we may or may not get to try it before it's release. Read More...

Left 4 Dead Hands On
by Andy [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2008 - 11:48 PM ]
Many great new games are coming out this upcoming holiday season and fortunately for me, I had a chance to play some at this year's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). One of the must talked about games, Left 4 Dead (L4D), was available to play at Valve's booth. Throughout the whole convention, the L4D booth was packed to the gills with people eager to kill some zombies. You may hate me after I say this, but I got to play it 2 hours in advance of the general public. But don't hate me too much as I wouldn't have been able to play it otherwise. Read More...

Left 4 Dead Delayed til November 20th
by Andy [ Monday, 25th of August 2008 - 07:15 PM ]
Much anticipated Valve game, Left 4 Dead, has been pushed back until November 20th. At least this is still in time for the holiday season, so you can eat your christmas cookies while blastig zombies away. At least I know I will be! "Left 4 Dead is going to be released on the tenth anniversary of Half-Life, our first game," said Newell. "That will be on November 20th, the third week in November." I can't say this is a huge let down at all, infact, I like that it is being pushed back a bit. Read More...

Event-Ghosts-of-Aliens
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2008 - 06:17 PM ]
More On Dead Space I will apologize now if my next few news articles come straight out of Comic-Con 2008 or tie ins. I was way to busy to keep things up to date while I was there, but I will do my best to get it all out there in my personal Blogs and here as well. That aside... This is some new stuff I caught on this very much hyped game from EA. They had a spectacular booth and panel for this game. With a dude in the full on armor shown in the trailers. Read More...

Dead Will Be Rising On The Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Dead Rising Ports To The Wii Yes, you read that right. Well at least that is what I have been able to gather from a very broken translation of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. So if you were still waffling on buying an XBox to get this game, it will be out on the Wii. Should be good news for some people who will remain nameless, but they are on this site. Hopefully it will do as well as RE4 did when it ported over as well. Go Capcom. Read More...

Strategic Dismemberment... Nuff Said
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2008 - 06:20 PM ]
New Dead Space Trailer Advises Strategic Dismemberment So let me guess. You saw that title and thought "WTF? I gotta check this out." I know that's what I did when I first saw this. It is also why I clicked onto the video. (See below.) It is about what I was expecting as well. Well maybe not exactly, but I was not let down with what I got from clicking the link and watching the video. So what is this? It is a show of the game Dead Space, a little bit. Read More...

The Day The Dragon Died :(
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of March 2008 - 08:55 PM ]
Dungeons & Dragons Creator Gary Gygax Dead, 3/4/2008 A sad day indeed. Gary Gygax died today in his home from natural causes at the age of 69. For those who don't know or didn't read the title bar, he was the creator for Dungeons and Dragons. This news was posted by his son, Ernie Gygax, through the Troll Lord Games forum boards and the news has hit many other websites about his demise. But even though he is gone, his legacy will hopefully live on like Achilles. Before anyone starts to say, how does this relate to video games, his work is what was used to inspire so many of the games you enjoy today. Read More...
