Dead Island The next slayer coming to us for Dead Island 2 is shown off while bringing a heart of gold to the Dead Island universe One more slayer is on the case for Dead Island 2 with the slow roll of the team flowing out before April 28th when the game hits the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Dead Island Dead Island fans can finally rejoice with Dead Island 2 getting revealed again during Gamescom this year It has been a long time coming, and not fresh out of Gamescom the rumors have turned to truths with Dead Island 2 getting its official re-reveal that the game is on its way to us all. Given that many have been waiting for Deep Silver to get this to us all since 2014, it is an insane bit of happiness that comes with Dambuster Studios making sure it is ready for us all. Dead Island 2 A leaked version of Dead Island 2 made it out into the world and we can now see where Dead Island 2 could have been taking us in terms of gameplay To say that Dead Island 2 has had a rocky development would feel like an understatement at this point. More so as the last bit of news anyone had out there for the game was that Deep Silver was moving along to a third developer after being originally announced over five years ago at this point. It feels so weird as I fully remember going to media events and sitting through demos for Dead Island 2 so long ago, but at this point, there is no word on if it will ever hit the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Dead Island 2 Dead Island 2 has a new developer and looks to be back in full swing without any of the compromises listed for the original Dead Island 2 developers being used Maybe you remember last July when it was announced that Dead Island 2 was losing its developer. All over creative differences and compromises that Deep Silver didn't want to make to the franchise that YAGER couldn't get around. Since then there hasn't been much word on the status of Dead Island 2 and all we've seen recently is that Dead Island and Riptide are getting the HD move to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It has been announced that Deep Silver will no longer be using developer YAGER to developer Dead Island 2 which means yet another larger delay for the game Update Yager's Statement We're sorry to announce the termination of our joint project with Deep Silver. As of now YAGER is no longer responsible for the development of Dead Island 2. Timo Ullmann, CEO of YAGER Group, elaborates: ”Our Yager team is fully committed to the development of AAA quality titles. Sad news as Dead Island 2 has been delayed due to unreleased reasons but to make Dead Island 2 a better game You can't tell me you are all that shocked to hear that Dead Island 2 has been delayed here. The original release schedule put it on task to be released Spring of 2015 and since that is about to come to a close and we haven't had much in the way of updates since August of last year it would seem that Deep Silver or Yager were going to make this announcement sometime soon. Sadly though that announcement is today as Dead Island 2 has been pushed back to a 2016 release instead of a 2015 release. We are still trying to recover and get everything we can out there for you readers. There were some ups, like Until Dawn getting revitalized for the PS4, and then there were some downs, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider being slated as an Xbox exclusive for a bit of time. Then again that is only bad news for those out there planning on playing the game on a PlayStation or PC so you can take that as you will for now. Deep Silver and Yager Development want to know what you are looking for in a Collector's Edition for Dead Island 2 If you are into collector's editions of game then you may want to pay attention here as Dead Island 2 is slated for one and Deep Silver/Yager Development want to know what you would like to see in said edition. This isn't anything new for the company as they have done it with previous titles but it is something I wished more companies did as we are the ones paying for these expensive bundles.
