Check out the new screen shots and concept art for The Order 1886 It's been a little bit since we had anything new from The Order 1886. Last I remember was a bit of gameplay out of Gamescom and before that the announcement at E3 so it's high time we get something new to look at. I'd prefer a bit more on how the game mechanics work or at the very least some more on the game's story, but I guess we'll have to settle for some screen shots and some concept work for the protagonists of the game. Here we go with yet another Story Time for and upcoming title. This time we have Killzone Shadow Fall coming for the PS4 here in the next few weeks. Just a small title that is being touted as the Resistance for this generation. As an F.Y.I. Resistance was pretty much the only launch title for the PS3 that was worth the money paid to pick it up. Hopefully this rumor or statement is just along the lines of 'this will be one of the best FPS titles that will be out for launch on the PS4' and not just the best title for launch. Just as with Telltale's last blockbuster title, The Walking Dead, we have another new 'point and click' storytelling adventure with The Wolf Among Us. Here we are five titles into the franchise and we are now getting the ability to manipulate some of our favorite characters and worlds with Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. While personally I would have preferred a Marvel version, beggars can't be choosers when given the opportunity to rewrite, create, and travel to all of the famous locations in "nerd" history. I am back with another update on Telltale's next epic episodic game series The Wolf Among Us. Telltale has announced that the first episode of The Wolf Among Us will be available on the Xbox 360, PC and Mac on October 11th. Telltale did not mention a PS3 release date but did say that it should be out a few days after the other platforms. I'm going to guess October 15th as that will be the day of the next PSN update. Telltale has confirmed that their new game, The Wolf Among Us, is now open for pre-order. Telltale did not mention a release date but did say the game will be out by the end of October. A season pass will set you back $24.99 but you can nab it for a discounted price of $22.49 through Steam and Telltale’s official website. If you purchase through Telltale you will receive a making of DVD at the end of the season although shipping will be on you. The Walking Dead from Telltale has been out for some time now for every device with one of the most recent being the PS Vita. Now I know what you are thinking "is there a reason I should get the game again?" Well with the PS Vita comes a few extra hardware additions that just were not available on the console or PC so let's dig in and see if your third or fourth play through will be worth it on Sony's handheld device. A little history lesson here. Back in the very late 80's and early 90's there was a game called Shadow Of The Beast that also spawned two sequels. Lesson over. Now in the coming year(s) here we are getting a "Re-Imagining" of the game exclusively on the PlayStation 4. That is really the all the information that has been announced so far outside of the following teaser trailer. Just in case you were still worried about the overall tone of Dead Rising 3 still being "too serious" and you've missed all the Twitter chatter about the game still having its light hearted side, then do I have a trailer for you. The new Gamescom trailer for DR3 is out and from what I saw at SDCC for the game, this is more the tone that Capcom is going for. I'll let you take a watch in peace for now. So with Techland working on Dying Light it kind of surprises me to hear about Dead Island: Epidemic. Just how do they have the time? Oh wait a second…they aren't working on this. Also this is a ZOMBA title for the PC. That makes a bit more sense now even though it does lower my interest a little bit. Just as last year, The Walking Dead Escape was back with a vengeance at Petco Park during the San Diego Comic Con. For the uninitiated this is an event where a good portion of the sports arena in San Diego was converted into an obstacle course in the theme of AMC's The Walking Dead. It really allows for people to really test their mettle and some of their survival skills to brag that they could survive the initial zombie outbreak. I was lucky enough to get to run the course again this year and what I found interesting was that most people I ran with compared the experience to most of the action zombie video games on the market today. Granted we were not allowed to attack the zombies in the run, but I would have to agree with the sentiment as there has been a push in the industry with Outlast and Dying Light this year. Read More...
