A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Sometimes you have to love short weeks as they give you more time to play our video games, but sometimes they seem to be filled with less news and true updates for our games. This was one of those weeks, but we did get to press right on with it. Not only did it give us a chance to review Past Cure for everyone, it also brought us some new updates for Biomutant, Far Cry 5, and a few other video games. Read More...

A new VR experience, Throw Anything, is coming to our homes soon and we can get a taste of what to expect here for Throw Anything right now If there is one thing that gamers love with VR it has to be zombies and weird experiences with them. At least that has to be the thought here with Throw Anything that is coming from VisualLight. I mean, Throw Anything is a new VR title heading to Early Access on February 28th here that will place us in a high-rise room that has zombies climbing up to it and our only defense is to literally do what the title of the game says. Thankfully, said title also means that we can indeed hurl anything and everything at the zombies to stop them. Read More...

Another look at the wildlife of Far Cry 5 is here and we get to see just how we will get to hunt them or be hunted when we dive into Far Cry 5 If there is one thing that the franchise has been known for before Far Cry 5, it is the fact that there will be some fun interactions with wildlife in the game. Sure, before now some of the games have only included them in to make the world feel a bit more realistic, but Ubisoft knows that is not the only aspect we want in the games. We want to be able to hunt them down or to have to add another concern to our list as we are trying to just enjoy the game. Read More...

Have a look at Assassin’s Creed Origins’ third major content DLC as the map gets expanded and undead are added into Assassin’s Creed Origins to round it out It may have been pushed back slightly, but the next major DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins is on the way and hitting us on March 13th to make the world a bigger and darker place. This is the Curse Of The Pharaohs DLC and it sounds pretty dark in general and now Ubisoft has taken the time to fully tell us what will be coming with it all. That and, as usual, we have a new trailer of gameplay to look at for the expansion of Assassin’s Creed Origins. Read More...

We sit down and review Past Cure. A new story-driven supernatural title from a small studio. Here is our review of Past Cure Since first hearing of Past Cure and seeing some of it in action, my interest was piqued and I wanted to know more. It has been this way for a while now and here we go as Phantom 8 Studio has finally finished it off and placed it out there for us to play. It has seemed hard to peg down what genre Past Cure is actually in as it looks to have stealth elements, action elements, and supernatural all mixed in. Other titles have done this as well, of course, but usually, it has been a very straightforward idea behind it that we could all grasp onto. Read More...

Two more characters for Soulcalibur VI are here to look at as the roster for Soulcalibur VI is further expanded with new and fun weapons Add two more characters to the roster of Soulcalibur VI as we now have Ivy and Zasalamel to look at in action for the game. There is still no release date on when Bandai Namco will be bringing the game to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but 2018 is still the timeline. Not that we should have expected to see a release date so soon for Soulcalibur VI as the roster is still on the lights side still, but it was worth mentioning for now and then we will head back into the characters. You know, the reason you are really here and most likely skipping over all of the text we have added in here. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown has now moved on to Early Access on Steam as the closed alpha for Hunt: Showdown has been shut down just recently In the past few weeks lucky gamers out there had a chance to check out Hunt: Showdown as the team launched a closed alpha to get feedback, test servers, and make sure everything was running as smooth as could be at this stage in development. I know I was one of those lucky few out there and I had a blast playing what Crytek had for us at that stage and could not wait to get more. Sadly, as of February 22nd the closed alpha test for Hunt: Showdown was shut down. Read More...

The release date for Moss has been set as the developers make the February timeline with Moss landing right before the end of the month It looks like Polyarc has finally settled on a release date for Moss and now it has been set. Not too long ago we covered the game and there was still no set date other than February leaving a lot of people wondering when this PSVR title was actually going to come or if it would make the mark. For those who have not been following Moss here, I am talking about what we had to look at last week without a solid release date set still. All of that can be forgotten now as we can look to add the game onto our PS4 on February 27th now. Read More...

We have yet another look at one of Far Cry 5’s heroes for hire and it is Boomer again just to see how the team made the dog in Far Cry 5 feel just perfect With March 27th quickly approaching, it seems like it would be a good time to dive into more of those heroes for hire in Far Cry 5. We have seen a whole lot of them in the past few weeks and I am sure we will see more from Ubisoft as the time ticks down. Here we go again though with just a bit more and for the one "hero" of Far Cry 5 that has had a lot of attention, Boomer. Read More...

Another remaster is coming as Burnout Paradise Remastered is announced and it will be bringing the game in 4K and include all of the Burnout Paradise DLC out there It is time to add another remastered title to the growing list as Burnout Paradise Remastered has been given the announcement treatment and heading to us on March 16th. Not the longest of lead times, but Criterion Games and EA wanted to get the racing game out there and all in the 4K quality at 60 FPS. That is at least if you are on a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X that can handle all of that. Read More...

The new Ancient Egypt mode for Assassin’s Creed Origins is finally here and with it comes a another mode for Assassin’s Creed Origins some have been waiting for The time has finally come and as of today we all have the Ancient Egypt Tour option in Assassin’s Creed Origins. That is at least if you already own the game as it has been released as part of a free update from Ubisoft for the game to give us all a different way to experience it all. This is not new for anyone paying attention to this game, but it is new to the Assassin’s Creed franchise and brings in something that many have been asking for. Read More...

A new bit of gameplay for Biomutant is here and it gives us a feel for how we will explore and experience the world of Biomutant with the character's move sets A little more gameplay for Biomutant has been released out there after the recent PC Gamer Weekender event and it gives us all a new look at some of the moves, actions, and ways we will get to further explore and interact with the world that Experiment 101 has built for us. Not much in the way of giving us solid details as it is an edited together mismatch of clips put out there by THQ Nordic, but it is something to get us further excited for the game to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point in 2018. It is more for Biomutant though so there is that to be happy with for now, so we can just take it as it is for now. Read More...

Yet another deity for Nightmarchers is here and this one gives us the ability to distract our foes in Nightmarchers in an interesting way Add another of the Hawaiian deities to the list for Nightmarchers as we now have a look at Kapo in the game. This would be the goddess of fertility in the culture and while we could make strong assumptions as to the ability she could grant, it looks like Wyrmbyte Studios has gone a different path to keep it all in line with the game. At least in line with the lack of needing to sexualize Nightmarchers so far and that could have been the easy way out for it all. Instead, it looks like she will be granting us the ability to distract with an arrow and use said distraction to sneak or stealth kill our enemies. Read More...

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There goes another week of video games in the books and there was so much to cover it was a bit overwhelming. At least it was on our side of the coin and maybe not for you. We enjoyed it all, but I am sure you had more enjoyment with the Kingdom Hearts III confirmations and all of the new stuff coming to Friday The 13th: The Game here in the coming weeks or months. We also had some great new rumors for a few video games out there including a possible new Spyro game in the mix. Read More...

Production on the System Shock Remaster has been put on hold as the studio refocuses and aims to give us the System Shock we were all hoping for If you were hoping to get the System Shock Remastered out there any time soon, you will be let down with the most recent update. It looks like Nightdive Studios has had to place the game on a bit of hiatus and thus delayed the game until some undetermined time now. The System Shock Remastered is still being made, but it just looks like the team needs a bit of time to refocus and get back on track to deliver on all of their promises. They did raise a whole lot of money to bring it to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so there is a lot riding on them getting it just right. Read More...
