The Monsters Of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Are More Than Creature Spawns
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released showing off the design and AI of the monsters we will be hunting in the game If you had no idea that there were monsters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt then why are you even reading this? Monster hunting is what it is almost all about here. There couldn't be more monster hunting if the game was called Monster Hunter. It is not though but there are still loads and loads of monsters and creatures for us to enjoy hunting in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and now we are getting a good long look at how CD Projekt RED has designed them all to make us feel like true monster hunters just as the main character in the game is. Isn't that so very nice of them? Read More…

Jason Is Out Of The Lake & Into Mortal Kombat X Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have been given our first look at Jason in Mortal Kombat X's first DLC pack out tomorrow, or next week depending on your purchase The first major character DLC for Mortal Kombat X is on the verge of launch and now we have a great look at Jason Voorhees getting into the mix of the game. Yes this is the slasher from the Friday The 13th franchise for those who may have been under a rock for the last 30+ years and have no clue who that is. At least in this version we will see NetherRealm's take on the horror icon for Mortal Kombat X. Hopefully he is as brutal as he has been over the decades but I guess the hope is no more as we have that look at him I guess… Of course with a new character for Mortal Kombat X has been a new Kombat Kast to help cover the character and show off all of his variations. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Our first look at Wolfenstein: The Old Blood's gameplay has been released online just a day before we are all going to be able to experience the Nazi Zombie fun We are one day out from Wolfenstein: The Old Blood hitting our PS4, Xbox One, and/or PC. Machine Games has a lot to hold up to for the standalone addition to the Wolfenstein franchise. This of course is the big prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order that takes place about 20 years before said title. Until now we've had a few descriptions of what was going to be new in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood but have yet to see anything. Read More…

Here's Why Batman: Arkham Knight's Season Pass Is So Expensive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Some details about the season pass for Batman: Arkham Knight have been released by Warner Bros. and Rocksteady to better explain the price Last week Rocksteady and Warner Bros. caught a bit of flack over the cost of the recently announced Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass. This would be the $40 add on pack that even I gave them quite a bit of guff over as that is close to the cost of another game just for six month's worth of DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. Well it looks like the developer and publisher wanted to quell all of our concerns and outrage and give us just a taste of what is to come for the Season Pass that is the most expensive that I can note to date. That is at least covering most titles on PC, Xbox One and PS4 that I cared to take the time to look into. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 4/27/15 — 5/1/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Time for more witting, or not-so-witting, banter to wrap up another week of news for video games here. We had a cancellation, a delay, and more sad news in general but at least we were able to see Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight received a bit more. Not only that but we have more rumors showing us that Watch Dogs 2 could be along the way here soon and then we had a look at a great looking horror title in Night Terrors. Most would say that is a big old game of "nope" but I say bring it on. Read More…

Square Enix's Witch Chapter 0 Shows How Future Final Fantasy Could Look
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 09:03 PM ]
During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference Square Enix showed of their Witch Chapter 0 to show the power of DirectX 12 There is no doubt that Square Enix has always been on the leading side of computer graphics and rendering in the gaming world but with their most recent tech demo Witch Chapter 0 [cry] they were able to show off where we can expect to see our next games to go from them. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference this week showed off said tech demo to show how DirectX 12 can be used to do some truly amazing things visually. In the case of their Witch Chapter 0 [cry] demo it showed how we could get some of the best real-time CG rendering that has been able to pull off a damn impressive CG version of someone crying. The Last Of Us: Left Behind Is Going Standalone
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Last Of Us: Left Behind is coming to the PS3 and PS4 as standalone DLC for the core game of The Last Of Us in May So this seems like a little weird bit of news but The Last Of Us: Left Behind DLC will be coming to the PS3 and PS4 as a standalone experience on May 12th. This would be that DLC for The Last Of Us that gave us all a little insight into the background of Ellie and her friend Riley. This would be the bit of story that is only alluded to in the core game as to how we all found out that Ellie is immune to whatever fungus is floating around in the world. Now everyone will be able to experience it without having to have The Last Of Us or The Last Of Us Remastered. Read More…

A New Trailer For Caffeine Shows Why It Is A Necessity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We have a new trailer for Caffeine and a new Indiegogo Campaign to try and get the game up off the floor Caffeine has been one of those titles as of late that seems to not have been able to gain much traction. It's going into its third Indiegogo campaign to try and raise funds to keep the developer working on it. Gods bless them as they keep trying and keep putting out more and more looks at Caffeine to show there is progress even though I am sure it is not at as fast of a pace that we all would want. I've said it many times already that Caffeine looks like it could be another great space horror title the likes of Dead Space or F. Read More…

Night Terrors Could Become Your Reality… In Your Own Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new Augmented Reality Game, Night Terrors, is trying to raise funds to try and bring real but fake terror into our homes Earlier this week we had the devastation that Silent Hills was canceled so let's get back on a horror highlight with Night Terrors. This would be an augmented reality game that is looking to hit the levels of terror that the prior title mentioned was claiming as well. The big kicker here is that Night Terrors won't be using virtual world interactions to bring the terror. Instead it is slated to get you up and moving about your own home where the ghosts and demons are actually lurking. Read More…

Watch Dogs 2 May Already Be In The Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
If rumors are correct we may be seeing Watch Dogs 2 from Ubisoft sooner than we all expected The head line really says it all here as it looks like Watch Dogs 2 may be in development already. At least that is all based on an updated LinkedIn account from one of the Senior Gameplay Programmers over at Ubisoft. It has since been removed from the account but Watch Dogs 2 was listed as a project under that said individual has/is working on with the developer/publisher. You know, because this is just as big of news as Ubisoft just straight out and telling us all that Watch Dogs 2 is in the works given the success of the first game. Read More…

There Is A Longer Wait For Dead Island 2 As It's Been Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Sad news as Dead Island 2 has been delayed due to unreleased reasons but to make Dead Island 2 a better game You can't tell me you are all that shocked to hear that Dead Island 2 has been delayed here. The original release schedule put it on task to be released Spring of 2015 and since that is about to come to a close and we haven't had much in the way of updates since August of last year it would seem that Deep Silver or Yager were going to make this announcement sometime soon. Sadly though that announcement is today as Dead Island 2 has been pushed back to a 2016 release instead of a 2015 release. There must be so much going on over there since it wasn't just pushed back to later this year but then again Dead Island 2 did sound like quite the undertaking before. Read More…

Overkill's The Walking Dead To Be Published On Consoles By 505 Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
It looks like 505 Games will be bringing Overkill's The Walking Dead to the PS4 and Xbox One when it launches in 2016 Not the biggest or most shocking news here but it looks like Overkill's The Walking Dead will be coming to consoles through 505 Games. They will be known for working together in the past for the Pay Day titles as well as the critically acclaimed, on this site, Naughty Bear. This of course all makes perfect sense given the fact that Overkill's The Walking Dead will be another Pay Day-like title and the two have worked well to bring those titles already so it was most likely the safe bet that this was going to happen sooner or later. Now they have a lot of time to run some amazing ad campaigns like they did for Naughty Bear. Read More…
