Dive Deeper Into The Story Of SOMA With A Web Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new web series for SOMA has been released and it is aiming to bring us all deeper into the story behind SOMA with prequel events If you've had the pleasure to play, start to play, or finish SOMA then you know one of the greatest selling points of the game is the story here. It is thought provoking, dark, and just an interesting tale to wrap around the horror events of this PS4 and PC title. In fact for some SOMA has left players wanting more out of Frictional Games in the way of said story. I'm looking for more story and gameplay personally but it looks like all we are getting at this time is an expansion into SOMA with a live-action mini-series that will be available on the web. This Week In Video Games 9/21/15 — 9/25/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's always a great week in video games when you get to use a phrase like "butt theatrics" because it is used in a video game. It is also a good week here when you get to see a whole butt-load of Fallout 4 and Rise Of The Tomb Raider news hit the web. To go one step further it is another great week in video games when we were able to get out our review for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and sing all of the praises that we had for the game as it ate away at our time here. Other video games had to suffer for that one but it was completely worth it. Read More…

Review — Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Is It Worth Your Time? Is it the conclusion to Kojima's version of the franchise we wanted? Here's Our Review Of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain We have finally made it to the conclusion of an era as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain marks the final part of the franchise being helmed by Hideo Kojima. It has been a long road and a rough one for those over at Kojima Productions but The Phantom Pain is here and we get to see if they put Konami's money to great use here. Ground Zeroes was a great, and small, taste of what The Phantom Pain could be and now it is time to see if all the teasing, hardships, and waiting have paid off. Read More…

New Rise Of The Tomb Raider Footage Gets Kill Happy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
New gameplay footage for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has been placed online and it shows the deadlier side of Tomb Raider that we may be getting Until today I was thinking that Rise Of The Tomb Raider was being wishy washy on the gameplay mechanics that we will be playing with when it finally launches. In some videos it looks like Rise Of The Tomb Raider is a stealth game. In other is looks like Crystal Dynamics has made only a "kill everything and that will keep you stealthy" kind of game. New Characters & Locations For The Park To Haunt Your Mind
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New screenshots for The Park have been released and they show off a few new characters and environments that we will be exploring in The Park Well look there. We have some new screenshots for The Park and they really show off the horror aspect that Funcom is aiming for in this new PC title they have coming this October. Based on the descriptions given for each it looks like they are really trying to drive home that "parent's worst nightmare" aspect here in The Park. Based on the image of Lorraine here, that is the protagonist of The Park, it looks like she is in for one hell of a night as she goes into rooms like the one she is in with people hanging from meat hooks and most likely cryptic notes about where her kid is in The Park. This Is How We Will Use Those Fallout 4 SPECIAL Stats
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new video for Fallout 4 has been released to show us how we will handle our characters in Fallout 4 as well as the perks that go along with the SPECIAL stats Hopefully by now you have seen the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series for Fallout 4, or at least the three videos out so far. They have been kind of showing us all how our character stats will be usable in Fallout 4 and they have been more informative than you would think. Well at least I would think as we are not even over halfway through there and Bethesda has released a new video showing off how these stats will work in Fallout 4 as well as the perks you will be able to purchase to take things above and beyond just a score of one to ten. Now you will be even more prepared for Fallout 4 when it launches on November 10th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More…

Watch The Plots Unfold For Assassin's Creed Syndicate
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new story trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate has been released and it shows off the main villains that we will be destroying in Assassin's Creed Syndicate Say what you want about the franchise but with each new Assassin's Creed Syndicate video we are being given my excitement level creeps ever higher. Not only is this game taking place in one of my favorite points in history, it is also including some of the famed humans from then. Ubisoft does their homework in that department really well and I can't wait to see what is going on in Assassin's Creed Syndicate on October 23rd. Read More…

Your Butt Theatrics Won't Stop Battleborn's Lothar Rendain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We have our first real look at Battleborn's villain, Lothar Rendain, in the most recent game trailer for Battleborn and he explains how your butt theatrics won't save you Every good story game needs a great villain to overcome. Battleborn isn't a story game but a multiplayer online battle-arena game but it looks like it too is getting a badass villain to help force the badasses of Battleborn focus on why they are shooting it out. Also in what seems to be Gearbox's MO it looks like these "badasses" of Battleborn will be using said asses to add more butt jokes to the overwhelming number that is already in 2K Games' library. They all sure do like their butt jokes… Putting all that behinds us, pun intended, we have a new look at the villain of Battleborn named Lothar Rendain. Read More…

Rumor — Wolfenstein: The New Order May Be Getting A Sequel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
One of the main voice actors for Wolfenstein: The New Order may have spilled the beans on if we are getting a sequel to Wolfenstein soon If rumors are true it looks like we may be getting a sequel to the smash hit Wolfenstein: The New Order . I know we already had the nice little prequel The Old Blood but it looks like Machine Games might be getting their wish of a sequel and it is already in the works. How is this? Well one of the voice actors from Wolfenstein: The New Order let slip that she is already laying down lines from a script to a sequel we may be seeing in 2017. Read More…

“Weird Al” & BABYMETAL Heading To Rock Band 4… For Xbox One
by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 23rd of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Twelve new songs heading to Rock Band 4 for those who pre-order the Xbox One version of Rock Band 4 and they include BABYMETAL and “Weird Al” I don't think I've been this excited for Rock Band 4 or the franchise since GWAR was announced as DLC back in the Rock Band 2 days. I'm an odd one. Sue me. None the less it looks like another group of artists are making their way onto Rock Band 4 thanks to Harmonix the only catch right now is that they are pre-order bonuses for those who happen to pick the game up on Xbox One and not the PS4.
