Explore A Bit More Of Paititi In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new hub location is revealed for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider that will add in many new features and expand on the Tomb Raider feeling of the game It is time to introduce you to one of the main hubs we will be exploring in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider when it launches on September 14th. Welcome to Paititi, a place that will be home to all kinds of trade and exploration when not going through the main story that Eidos-Montréal has for us. Sometimes we need a break from the core parts of our games and this one will be it. That and the way we get to trade for new items, find other hidden tombs, and learn about the cultures in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, but that is all secondary. Read More...

Square Enix Is Bringing All Kinds Of Tomb Raider & Kingdom Hearts Fun To SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Square Enix Not to be left out of SDCC, Square Enix is bringing all kinds of games and events to make sure you have been able to experience all Square Enix has to offer Just as the many year's past, Square Enix will be back at SDCC this year and bringing with them all of the games that we have been keeping an eye on and hoping to play sooner rather than later. Sadly, it does not look like they are bringing much in the way of Final Fantasy, but they are truly pushing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts III just as they did out at E3. Not the biggest of surprises given the proximity to the release dates and SDCC being a huge fan event for Square Enix to get the games in front of more eyes than just through other people's thoughts and opinions. Rinoa Heartilly Joins The Fight In Dissidia Final Fantasy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy Another character from Final Fantasy VIII fame will be joining the fight in Dissidia Final Fantasy in the not too distant future Add one more character to the list of fighters in Dissidia Final Fantasy as Rinoa is making the jump in to the fight here soon. There is no word on how soon from Team Ninja, but she is joining in and bringing her own flare of fighting to the arena. You may remember her from Square Enix's eighth installment to the Final Fantasy franchise. Maybe not, depending on how far back you have been playing the franchise up to now as they do seem to be going back and pulling some of the less famous characters in the IP. Read More...

Words May Not Dictate Life Within The Quiet Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Quiet Man A minor update to The Quiet Man may provide a bit more to the core of the game and just what we may be experiencing in The Quiet Man If you caught the live stream that Square Enix had during E3 then you most likely caught the small teaser for the upcoming game called The Quiet Man. By small, I am mean that it showed very little in terms of actual gameplay and focused a bit more on the live action video that was there to tease it all. It was strange, but The Quiet Man caught the eyes of many even though it all looks to be a brawler, based on the video at least, and that the protagonist may be deaf and/or mute. Read More...

Life Is Strange 2 Has A Release Date For The First Episode Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange The release date for Life Is Strange 2’s first episode has been set and we will be playing more than a demo for Life Is Strange 2 soon While we all may be playing the demo for Captain Spirit right now, we may have also missed that Life Is Strange 2 is heavily linked to it in some way and now we know that it will not be a huge wait to see how that is. That is, DontNod has not only released the new title there but also set down a firm release date for the first episode of the core game to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We can now look to September 27th to get the first episode of Life Is Strange 2 to carry on the story and see how this world is getting further expanded out there. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Just Cause 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Just Cause While at E3, I was able to see Just Cause 4 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Just Cause 4. One of the other many titles that could not be kept under wraps for E3 this year was Just Cause 4. Just before the main event kicked off, it was leaked out there that the game was coming but little of anything else. I am sure that Avalanche Studios was thankful for that as it allowed them to still cause a big splash during the show and get fans of the franchise all hyped up for the December 4th release date for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It also made it easy for Square Enix to slide Just Cause 4 into all of its things out there as well as show a bit more to those of us who were able to go behind some closed doors out at E3. E3 2018 Impressions — The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Captain Spirit While at E3, I was able to see The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit. Another of the outside the realm of the usual at E3 came The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit during the Microsoft media event and it is the bridge between the original Life Is Strange and the upcoming second full title in the franchise. DontNod is back at the helm for the franchise here and it looks like they also have Square Enix bringing it to us on June 26th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All for the low price of free, so we can eliminate the cost being a reason to skip out on this new narrative adventure. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider While at E3, I was able to see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. With Shadow Of The Tomb Raider not that far off from release, September 14th as a reminder, it was expected to see the game have a huge showing out at E3 this year and Square Enix did not let us down. There was a great showing during their huge press event the day before E3 kicked off, but also had a nice long demo for fans to play that Eidos-Montréal had put together just for the show. It was a nice subsection of the core game and let the world see what was coming to Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as well as show how the gameplay has shifted a bit. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Back With More Gameplay From E3 2018
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The first gameplay for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here now and we get to see how the franchise has evolved from the last Tomb Raider title We have been good and waited until this year's E3 to finally see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in motion. At least in terms of gameplay. Since it has been known that Eidos-Montréal will have the game ready for us on September 14th, it was a given that we would get to see it during Square Enix's media event this year and then again on the show floor. They could have kept all of that under wraps until the release date, but that is just not how all of this marketing thing goes to make sure we are pre-ordering and ready for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. I guess that is good for all of us who have been dying to see just what is in store for us with the game. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
E3 2018 Can't Be At E3 2018 Or The Square Enix Press Conference? We Have You Covered With The Live Stream Straight From E3 2018 Not everything is going to be on the show floor of E3 2018 and because of that we have these huge press conferences and here we go with Square Enix's huge event just before the doors open for us all. Titanic New Gameplay For Kingdom Hearts III Is Here Fresh From Some Demos
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Kingdom Hearts A bunch of new gameplay for Kingdom Hearts III is out there now after some big press demos showing off some large boss fights from Kingdom Hearts III Recently, select media outlets were given a chance to play a bit of Kingdom Hearts III and see where the game has progressed to. It looks like today was the day that Square Enix lifted the lock on the releasing of all of those impressions and feelings on where the game is at so far which means that we have a lot of new B-roll and off-screen gameplay to look at and dissect. I would have thought we would have needed to wait until after E3 for all of this, but it looks like Kingdom Hearts III is getting a head start like a few other titles out there. I will not complain, even though it makes it seem like we may not have much more to experience here in a few week's time. Read More...

Lara Is Ever Evolving To The Point In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new developer interview for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it takes us through the evolution of Lara from the reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise to now I know we are all waiting for another big update for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as all we have had since its first leak has been a nice looking CG trailer for the game. It showed us what Eidos-Montréal was aiming for, sure, but it did not give us any actual gameplay or too many details for the game. I have a feeling this was to hold off until Square Enix's big E3 showing that is planned but to give us all a taste. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Getting Some Help For The PC Version
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new partnership is here for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and it will make sure that PC gamers have the best experience they can have for the upcoming Tomb Raider title We may have just had the first semi-showing of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider last week, but here we are yet again to have a bit of information we did not get last week. It is nothing in terms of story, new gameplay, or even a direct look at the game from Square Enix. Sad, I know. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Revealed & Gets A Littler Darker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The reveal trailer for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it looks like we are going to see a darker Tomb Raider with this one The day is here and we now have the first real reveal for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider to get us all amped for. Sure the game was officially announced by Eidos-Montréal a while back, but this is the first video reveal that Square Enix has for the public. I state it that way as it is only a pre-rendered video we have for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider while select few in a few select locations have had the true chance to give the current version of the game a whole. Given that it is still slated to release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14th it would be a bit safe to assume it is in a decent place to get a good preview. Read More...

Kingdom Hearts III Is Bringing Some Game & Watch Mini-Games With It
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Kingdom Hearts A few new mini-games for Kingdom Hearts III have been shown off at a the recent Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] Dandelion Meeting While it may not be the biggest news for Kingdom Hearts III, it looks like we have a look at some of the new mini-games that will be making the hop into the game here when it releases sometime this year on the PS4 and Xbox One. It is a small thing, indeed, but seeing Square Enix just kind of dropped this update as a surprise, we will take it. That all said, it looks like Kingdom Hearts III will be home to a few Game & Watch-style mini-games that Sora and crew can enjoy on their mobile devices in-game. Read More...
