The Villains Of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Might Include Carnage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2014 - 07:01 PM ]
There is a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 showcasing some of the other villains Spider-Man will have to bring down. When it comes to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 visually what has been shown hasn't been as impressive as with The Amazing Spider-Man. This could be as we have been spoiled over the last few months with next gen graphics and all we seem to be getting are trailers for the last gen systems. If this is the case then we might have to rely just on the fun factor of the game as well as the story. What makes an interesting story for Spider-Man is usually the villains and their overall goals. Have A Look At What Will Be In The Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Just in case you needed another reason to pick up the Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition here's a showcasing of the goods. As gamers we sure do love our collector's editions and the Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition is yet another one to add to the list. For just a bit more that the basic asking price you can get a bunch of other real world and virtual world goodies. In the case of the Vigilante Edition it would replace a few items I have lost recently do to "act of dog" which would completely make it worth the extra money. If only it was possible to find it as a non-European exclusive to pre-order right now. Read More...

A New Amazing Spider-Man 2 Gameplay & Dev Diary Video Swings Onto The Web
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
There is a new Amazing Spider-Man 2 dev diary that digs into some of the new mechanics for the game. Should we be excited for this film video game? It really feels like the film version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is getting so many more trailers than needed while the video game version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has had so few. Only two before today for the game if memory and sleuthing serves me correctly. I'm pretty sure it does so I'll just move on with everything. Read More...

Welcome To The Watch_Dogs Version Of Chicago
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Watch_Dogs to show off the city that we will be spending hours hacking. Do the character models look downgraded? Just as to be assumed with any title based in a real world location, we have a new trailer showing us the Chicago of the Watch_Dogs universe. There seems to be a lot less dancing and singing in this Chicago if my entertainment versions of the city are anywhere near accurate of the city. Ok, that is a pretty limited scope there all in the basis of a joke but we really do have a look at the Chicago of Watch_Dogs. Have a watch and any of you Chicago-ites… Chicagoans… residents of the real Chicago let us know what you think as todays tech should be getting close to recreating our loved cities. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
New details on the PS3 & PS4 Watch_Dogs exclusive content have been announced. Here is what we are getting. If you have been waffling on which platform to get Watch_Dogs on we have some new information to help you make up your mind. Even though it hasn't been a secret that those who opt for the PS3 or PS4 version of the game will be getting some exclusive content, it has never been clarified and explained outside of "an extra 60 minutes of gameplay." The wait is now over though as we have a trailer showing off the four extra missions that add said gameplay. Not only that but a new costume and in-game perk. Read More...

Looks Like Watch Dogs Will Let You Hack Anything, Including Steam Pipes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of March 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
We have a few more Watch Dogs screen shots to help expand on how the game looks and what you can hack. Yesterday we got a release date for Watch Dogs and a story trailer. Also peppered in were a few new rumors and speculation that have been debunked. Things like resolution lowering and features removed from Watch Dogs. Also things that I won't touch on as they appear to be all internet hearsay and/or small blogs trying to grab attention. For shame all of you. Read More...

Watch Dogs Info 'Leaked' Too But At Least There Is A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Watch Dogs has had its release date and story trailer 'leaked' but confirmed by Ubisoft. Finally it is coming out. Here we go with yet another 'leak' of information and this time it is for Watch Dogs from Ubisoft. As I looked over the internet and media this morning it almost seemed like everyone and their cousin's sister's former roommate was talking about this 'leaked' trailer and date. About an hour after this, the official twitter account for the game confirmed and posted all the details including the following story trailer for Watch Dogs. Just as with the other 'leaks' I think this was more planned or a slip up while uploading the trailer to YouTube. Read More...

Get Acquainted With The New Batman: Arkham Origins DLC - Cold, Cold Heart
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
There is a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins DLC titled Cold, Cold Heart. This is Mr. Freeze story DLC! By now most of us have enjoyed Batman: Arkham Origins and maybe some of the DLC challenge maps. Yes, Initiation was kind of a story DLC but it was really just a bunch of challenge maps in a story frame and not actually just story DLC. I am moving off the main topic here though as we have a teaser of the new story-based campaign DLC: Cold, Cold Heart. The main focus there is the term campaign. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 22nd of February 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. It's been another busy week in the world of video games and gaming. We've had a few ups; the official release dates for Daylight and Basement Crawl secured down. We've had some down; the loss of Irrational Games and uncertainty in the BioShock franchise. We've also had a few huge spoilers thrown out there for Thief and South Park. Unless you don't count showing off the first fifteen minutes or so of the actual games as spoilers. Read More...

Are There Any Games That Make The Wii U Worth It?
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 21st of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Games make a console worthwhile but are there any that will revitalize the Wii U? Any that will 'sale' the console? I am a huge Nintendo fan but it has really gone downhill for me in the past two console generations. This brings me to the question, "Are there any games that make the Wii U worth buying?" I am not the typical Nintendo guy who gets a new system every time a Pokémon, Zelda, Mario, or Smash Bros. game comes out. Read More...

My Favorite Games Of Last Gen [Part 2]
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 20th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
The second part of a long list of great games. Welcome to the second part of my favorite games from last gen. If you missed part one you can read it right here. Let's hop right back into it. Red Steel series Red Steel and Red Steel 2 are easily my two favorite titles on the Wii. While they both may not be the best games on the Wii, they both were definitely great for pioneering the new technology the Wii brought forth. Red Steel showcased the new controller's ability to use both motion controls, and sensor targeting in a single game. Read More...

Oh, How I Wish Bayonetta 2 Wasn't A Wii U Exclusive
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 18th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
There is a new trailer for Bayonetta 2, a game that is exclusive to the Wii U only. This is going to hurt the sale of the game… It really hurts that the title of this new Bayonetta 2 trailer is titled Did you miss me? because I do. I also will miss you when you finally launch exclusively on the Wii U this summer. It still breaks my heart that Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive as I don't think it fits the console; also the fact that I don't own one and don't think that Bayonetta 2 is going to change my opinion on owning one. But enough of the sad stuff. Read More...

My Favorite Games Of Last Gen [Part 1]
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 28th of January 2014 - 04:20 PM ]
A short list of some of my favorite games of last gen consoles. With the hype of the next gen consoles finally dying down, I decided to take a look back at some of my favorite games from last generation and reminisce about what drew me to those games. Or, I could just sit down and play them again and relive the gloriousness. That sounds like a great idea actually. I think I'll do that after I'm finished here. Read More...

Looks Like We Are Getting Kraven's Help In The Amazing Spider Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of January 2014 - 07:20 PM ]
The official announcement trailer for The Amazing Spider Man 2 has been released to the public and it looks like it will be turning a Spider Man villain into an ally. Or is this a ruse? We had a tease for The Amazing Spider Man 2 a little while back and the time has come where we get the full trailer for the game. Yes it is another film tie-in game but the previous game was actually quite decent given the usual lackluster experience these kinds of games usually provide. Hopefully we can expect the same with The Amazing Spider Man 2. Read More...

Review: Nihilumbra
by Kenton Winkfield [ Sunday, 12th of January 2014 - 07:53 PM ]
We sit down and review Nihilumbra. How does this quirky 2D side-scroller handle? As much as i enjoy a game with many difficult maneuvers and complex button combinations to master, a simple game is always preferred after a long day. But simple gameplay can make it difficult for a game to hold my attention, and keep me from getting bored. The people at BeautiFun Games have created the perfect game to fill that position. BeautiFun Games is a 7-person indie development company located in a city just outside of Barcelona, Spain. Read More...
