With Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag less than a week away from launch it's high time that the advertising and promotion trains get a rolling. With Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag releasing in the next couple weeks it is about time for us to get to know the main character Edward Kenway. It makes sense as we will all be spending many hours controlling his every move while he plunders the Caribbean upon the Jackdaw. Lucky for us Ubisoft has put out a new trailer full of cut scene and game play to help us get a feel for this scalawag. Well here is some sad news. It looks like Watch Dogs is going to be delayed until spring of 2014 now. This is a title I have been eagerly awaiting and actually got me to upgrade my PS4 pre-order to come bundled with. Looks like I will have to be choosing a new title to start playing during next month's console release. Just as Microsoft did yesterday, it looks like we have a pretty well rounded list of titles coming Day One-ish for the PS4 when it finally hits homes on November 15th. At first glance it looks like it is a bit longer, 10 more titles to be exact, but there are a few titles there that we've already had our hands on for a while now. It should be no surprise that there isn't much in the way of new information since E3, but a few choice questions from fans and during the panel revealed a few tidbits. Many old school fans of Ubisoft's Splinter Cell series were disappointed with Conviction's heavier focus on action. Ubisoft realized this and added a new difficulty mode to Blacklist called Perfectionist Mode. Intended for Splinter Cell purists this mode removes your mark/execute ability and takes away your ability to see through walls with Sam's sonar goggles. This mode increases enemy difficulty in both stealth and combat as well as does not allow players to restock ammo at supply caches. This mode is really unique because it brings the series back to the original three games in the franchise where the only thing that you have to rely on is your night vision goggles and the shadows. With the fall of the mighty THQ and the purchasing of South Park: The Stick Of Truth by Ubisoft, all of us have been questioning what may or may not change in the final product. I am so glad to see that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is still moving forward and striving given the loss of the original publisher and completely missing the launch date. Earlier this month we had the official announcement of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag with not much to go on other than the time period of the story and the culture it is based around. During the reign of Blackbeard and pirates for those who are just now following along. No matter which you are, we now have a bit of game play from Black Flag and it looks like Ubisoft is trying to focus on the naval combat that debuted back in ACIII not so very long ago. It also looks like we will get to punch sharks in the gills during underwater scenes of the game, so there is also that. It has been made official; Assassin's Creed IV is coming just about a year after AC3 has landed. It was originally rumored with the below trailer teasing it last week, but since the cat was let out of the bag it looks like Ubisoft isn't keeping it hidden any more. The video is now to be considered the official announcement of AC4 along with the release date of November 1st 2013. That adds another title to the PS4's launch lineup it would seem.
