All those rumors about the PSP Go, all those rumors about a UMD-free PSP, and all those rumors about Sony announcing a new PSP at E3. Well it seems Sony is not finished with the current version of the PSP, as they are going to release a new bundle PSP with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. If you do not know by now, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is not another Final Fantasy RPG, but rather a Final Fantasy fighting game (no it is not another Ehrgeiz) and will include the main characters from all of the Final Fantasy titles in this game. So the inFamous compatibility 2.76 update for the PS3 "improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software. and you will no longer have to restart a game to display trophies after a hard drive upgrade or if you restore from the backup" (like we do that SO much). The software update is most likely aimed at issues that arose during the testing of inFamous, the new game coming from Sucker Punch. Capcom announced last week during CAPTIVATE 09 that they will be releasing the PSP fighting game, Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable, in the U.S. Unlike Japan, the American release will be following Europe in releasing the game digitally only through the Playstation Store. Sony and Capcom both firmly state that they are not abandoning the UMD format that is the primary media used in PSP games. Capcom has promised a winter release at a retail price of $29.99. New PSP Named And Coming This Fall Rumors galore have flown all over the net about a new PSP that is suppose to be coming out. Many Views Of inFAMOUS While not as preachy as the top ten that was passed around online yesterday, there are a load of new views and videos that just popped up for the PS3's inFAMOUS. Acclaim developer David Perry has recently gained some attention for some comments he made concerning the next version the PSP. Kotaku reported that after speaking with Perry that a UMD free PSP is both real and forthcoming. "I spoke to a developer who is working on it right now," he said to the news outlet. First DCU Mission Explained We all know that MMOs need to have good missions to keep players coming back and interested in the game. Without them, what is the point of even playing. Outside Socializing and building characters and grinding out levels and being part of the in crowd. DC Universe Character Trailer So far most of the buzz on Sony's DC Universe has been the named characters from DC comics that a player will be able to interact with or run along side. This Week in Killzone 2 (and more demo codes) There have been many ways for people to gain access to the Killzone 2 demo before the game actually comes out in about 10 days, from now. Most recently one could have hunted down one of the only Helghast avatars in PlayStation Home and request one from them. Capcom has announced that Fate/Unlimited Codes is headed for the PSP in June of this year.  Capcom originally created this 3D Fighting game, based on the Fate/Stay Night aeries, for arcades in Japan last year. After gaining much success, Capcom ported the game over to the Playstation 2. With their latest port coming to the Sony PSP, they will be adding on some very nice additions. Player's will be able to fight against each other via Wi-Fi. Capcom is also including a Command List of moves, new costumes and will even feature characters from Fate/Hallow Ataraxia. Read More...
