Though the release of one of Sony’s most anticipated titles is still months away, that doesn’t mean that fans don’t have a reason to be excited. An email sent out by Sony links people to a survey asking 4 questions regarding what they want to see in a possible Collector’s Edition of God of War III. Questions 1&2 are simply “Do you own a PS3?” and “What God of War titles do you own?” Question 3 asks what items and extras you would like to see packaged with the game and Question 4 deals specifically with what collectable items you’d like to see included. Both Questions 3 & 4 are multiple choice with a scale ranging from 1-10 for each option.

Personally I was extremely happy when I saw the email. Too many “Collector’s Editions” end up being a huge waste in terms of packaging the same old stuff almost to the point of having some kind of a stencil or pre-set format. Though what I voted for may not actually end up in the in the final retail product, and I’m cool with that, at least I got to have my say. The only thing I would have wanted to make my opinion better heard was an extra comment box so that I could suggest a few things that weren’t included amongst some the choices. Still this is something I was very happy to see and I can’t wait to hear what the results will be.
