Thor & Thamur Play A Part In God Of War's Story Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
God Of War The next of the Lost Pages for God Of War are here and they go into stories of Thor and the new music for God Of War we will soon enjoy The third installment for the God Of War podcast is here and it gives us just a bit more of the official backstory going into the game as well as some of the way the new music and score of the game will be linking into the gameplay here. If you have no idea what this podcast is, it is something that has been set up to get more of the behind the scenes stuff from Santa Monica Studio out there to us but also fill in some of the gaps between the last major addition to the game and the one that is coming here. Mostly marketing and hype for God Of War before it hits the PS4 sometime next year, but it is a fun little extra to hear about some of the Norse Mythology and how it will be altered to fit Kratos in. God Of War's Combat Will Make Sure No Souls Are Eaten This Day
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War New combat for God Of War is here from Paris Game Week and it also brings with it another creature we will need to fight in God Of War at some point A new enemy for God Of War has just been shown off during the Paris Games Week event that PlayStation held for all of the upcoming games and DLC still to come. Not only a new enemy of sorts, but it looks like Santa Monica Studio also opted to give us another huge look at the new combat we can see and expect in the game. The Blades of Chaos are out and a new ax is in for God Of War so that will make things flow a bit differently and here is yet another taste. Read More...

More Monsters Of Myth Are Coming Out For God Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of September 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War Another “Lost Page” for God Of War’s new mythology has been revealed and it gives us a few of the new God Of War creatures to look at Update Another beast of God Of War has been released called the Revenant God Of War — The Lost Pages Of Norse Myth – Manifestation Of The Revenant The latest Lost Pages catalog the Revenant, a creature twisted by zealous devotion to Seidr magic. The next "lost page" for the God Of War lore has been revealed and this one is all about a few of the foes we will being joining Kratos in slaying when the game launches on the PS4 next year. Sadly, none of the foes revealed here are anything new as Santa Monica Studio has already shown them in past gameplay and trailers, but we get nice little looks at just how they came to be in not only the game's world, but also out of the minds of the artists trying to give them life. Runes In God Of War Are Going To Be A Lot More Than Just Decoration
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of September 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A recent podcast with the director of God Of War has been placed out there and it goes a bit into the details of God Of War's runic magic and their use In the recent weeks, it would seem that we are getting new tidbits for God Of War seeping out and both on the side of gameplay mechanics and other on the side of aesthetics. Well, at least in terms of the concept art that Santa Monica Studios is using to make the game look amazing on the PS4. There have been a whole lot of those flying around as part of the marketing for God Of War, but now we have a little more to dig into here than just that. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War New concept art for God Of War has been released to show off some new looks for Kratos, Atreus, Enemies, and the world of God Of War Update More God Of War concept art is released If you are like me at all then you are desperately hoping to see or hear anything new for the upcoming God Of War title. There is still no solid release date outside of 2018 for the game and Santa Monica Studio has yet to full update us on all of the changes we can expect in the game in terms of gameplay. We can make a lot of assumptions based on all of the trailers and videos we have already seen for God Of War but it is always nice to have something a bit more concrete. Read More...

There Is Much More To The Look Of God Of War Than We Once Knew
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War New screenshots for God Of War are out there as well as a fun look at how the new looks for God Of War came about from the previous titles With only two trailers for God Of War being out there currently, the game has already looked to take an interesting turn for the franchise and the character involved. Given the drastic nature of the shift, and the way all those internet fans are, it is no surprise that Santa Monica Studio has been harped on for having a different type of Kratos in the game. I know a lot of people saw the woodsman beard in the first God Of War trailer and gameplay we had and though he was going to be even more grizzled after the ending of the third main game. God Of War Shows Us How To Be A True Warrior
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War Another gameplay trailer for God Of War has been released and it also tells us God Of War will officially release in 2018 It's been almost a year since last we had anything solid to go on for God Of War as the last official showing was during the media briefing and E3 of 2016. I know there was a lot of hope that Santa Monica Studio would have had the game hitting the PS4 this year, but now it is confirmed that 2018 will be the year that Kratos is back and slaying all of the mythological beasts of Norse mythology. It is a wait, but given that this is the reboot that God Of War should be getting here, I'll wait the time to make sure we get another great experience out of it all. It would seem a bit of a waste if it was just Kratos going at all of these new gods for no other reason than they are gods and such. Read More...

The God Of War Demo Had A Lot More In It Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A new look at the God Of War demo out of E3 has been release where a few of the God Of War developers explain more on the game than we saw live Last week the world was given a great surprise in terms of the new God Of War being shown off at E3. A lot of questions obviously popped up due to all of this but Santa Monica Studios was very tight lipped about every aspect of the game that we couldn't physically see in the demo. Believe me I tried and the closest little extra I got for God Of War was the fact that they are not ignoring anything from his past but are doing a solid continuation. That and it will of course be on the PS4 but that is all stuff that we could have just made a solid assumption on given the state of everything. Read More...

God Of War Is Back And It Doesn’t Look Like The One We Are Use To
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War At E3 2016 the new God Of War title was revealed with gameplay and it looks to shake up the God Of War franchise in a good way If you watched last night’s press conference then you should know that God Of War has a new title coming to the franchise and it looks like all of the rumors were true. In this go of it it looks like Santa Monica Studios is taking Kratos into the Norse mythology as the rumors from before had us all thinking. Pretty cool but we also had a solid look at actual gameplay for the new God Of War in almost a whole ten minutes with a few extra tidbits revealed along with it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of April 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A new rumor for God Of War has popped up and this one points to the next God Of War being placed in Norse mythology and has some concept art to go with it It has been some time since last we heard an update on what was going on with the God Of War franchise. During the PlayStation Experience in 2014 we received confirmation that Santa Monica Studios was working on the next installment but that has really been it. Of course there have been rumors and speculation all of over the map for the next God Of War title but here we go again with more rumors to add into. The only kicker here is that now we have some concept art to go along with the rumored Norse Mythology setting for the game. Read More...

New Game Bound Has Been Announced & Teased For Our Pleasure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of December 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Bound A new game called Bound has been teased and now is officially announced even though there is little to go on for Bound at this time Update Bound has been given an expanded announcement over on the PS Blog now. It looks like Bound is a 3D platforming game with a Mature Story. It will have a very Modern Art feel in terms of artistic style from the Suprematism, Concretism, and/or Neoplasticism movements. Sadly Bound will not be a VR dancing sim that only the weird of us were hoping for. The minds over at Santa Monica Studios had everyone in a tizzy over the last day or so as they teased a new game Bound. Read More...

This Is How Everybody's Gone To The Rapture Is A British Apocalypse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer diary of sorts for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has been released and details out how Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is a very British Apocalypse Well Everybody's Gone To The Rapture hits the PS4 in a few weeks on August 11th. We've seen some good things for it up until now and it looks like The Chinese Room has created an amazing experience in storytelling with the game. I have yet to play any part of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture but I have seen so many little videos and explanations that I feel that I get what the game is going for and what we all will most likely experience; even if Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is not an apocalypse story that was designed for someone with my background. That background being not having grown up in a rural town in the British Isles. Read More...

Now We Know When Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of June 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new teaser trailer for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has been released with the best information being the released date for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture It feels kind of weird as this could have been a better part of the E3 announcements but now we have a release date for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. I'm not going to complain because I been overly intrigued with what The Chinese Room and Santa Monica Studios have been cooking up for the game since it first came on the scene but this announcement, and trailer, feel like it would have been better placed during the larger PlayStation conference in a few days where it would get to stand with all of the other PS4, PS3, and PS Vita titles that will be on display. Maybe they just didn't want Everybody's Gone To The Rapture to get lost in the hustle and bustle there. Read More...

Finally The Story Behind What Remains Of Edith Finch Begins
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of May 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
The first trailer for What Remains Of Edith Finch has been released and shows off the main location for the game: The House Back at the PlayStation Experience What Remains Of Edith Finch was announced by Giant Sparrow and Santa Monica Studios. You may have missed it as it wasn't a huge deal back when it happened and there wasn't all too much to show and talk about outside of the new game coming to the PS4. Game announcements go like that mostly and What Remains Of Edith Finch has had little to nothing to show until now. Now being that we have a look at the first location for the game as the core mechanics of What Remains Of Edith Finch makes it difficult to show off much more without getting into gameplay demos and such. A New Look At The Vast Empty Of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of April 2015 - 09:01 PM ]
Thirteen more minutes of gameplay for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture have been released to show off the vastness of the game's world and AI Yesterday we had a nice little look at the tone of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture as well as a bit more to the soundtrack of the game. Santa Monica Studios and The Chinese Room are really hitting that loneliness angle home here as even the gameplay we have only shows how big the game's world will be and how empty it will be. You know, because Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. There shouldn't be too many humans still running around the Earth and all right? Read More...
