LittleBigUpdates
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of November 2008 - 05:43 PM ]
I apologize now for the loads of news you will most likely be seeing surrounding this game. There is just so much and I get all kinds of details sent to me. More than any thing right now. So I'll preface that. But here are three interesting things that just popped up around LBP. LittleBigPlanet To Add Sticker Import From Hard Drive Might not sound all that cool, at least to some, but this is something that was originally stated was most likely never going to be an option within the game. What is that? Since I might not have been totally clear with the heading, looks like MM is working on a way to import images from the Hard Drive instead of just using your PSEye or USB Camera to get these images into your levels. A Steam Cloud is rolling in...
by [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 02:20 AM ]
Today, Valve has announced a platform that will store game applications online so that gamers can access them from any PC. Affectionately titled Steam Cloud, the November zombie thriller Left 4 Dead will ship with out-of-the-box support. According to Valve, the Steam Cloud "just works," meaning that any changes a gamer makes to configurations in-game such as button layouts, difficulty settings, or multiplayer options will be automatically delegated to the user’s Steam Cloud account on another computer. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, explains: "For some time now, Steam has allowed gamers to log on from any computer in the world and access their applications. This also makes it easy to upgrade a PC without worrying about losing your games. Read More...

A Goofier Way To Look While Playing Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 05:58 PM ]
Sony Patents Ultrasonic Waggle Controller Technology A while back, there was a video showing a motion controller designed for the PS3. It looked like the Dual Shock 3 controller only that it split in the middle to make for two fists of fury. Really cool looking. But now there is a new patent passed through to create a new motion and proximity controller by Sony. And the images proposed look really goofy. But the technology is actually kind of cool when you think and look at it. Read More...

Need A Killzone Fix?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of October 2008 - 04:48 PM ]
Killzone2 - Helghan - PlayStation 3 Well if you are still pining over this game and need a fix, here is a new trailer for your viewing pleasure. It is a high definition video of some of the cut scenes of the game. No real game play from what I saw, but then again with most games today using the game engine for their cut scenes over FMV, you can assume it will look about the same visually. Which does look pretty sweet. Not much more about what is going on with the game, story wise or what is going on, but still nice to see. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of October 2008 - 04:16 PM ]
Saw Game By Halloween 2009 So as most of you are aware of, there is a film series called Saw. They are up to number V (that's 5 in Roman Numerals) now. With more in the works. But that isn't the big news here seeing as this is a gaming site. So why am I wasting your time writing this. Well filler right now. But more importantly, and game related, the people who brought you the Saw films have released a Press Release stating that they will have a game out by the time the Sixth movie hits the big screen. All with the premise of bridging the first two films together a bit better. Read More...

[PSP Import Review] Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 25th of October 2008 - 05:44 AM ]
Ikki Tousen is a fan service anime, all about breasts, fighting, pantsu, Chinese history and more breasts. So with the PSP release of Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, Marvelous Entertanment brings us a toned downed eroge side scrolling beat-'em-up of the anime.  While you won't see any type of nudity, there are more than enough suggestive images that unlock throughout the game. The game is out in Japan only, and most likely will never see a U.S. Read More...

Review: Dead Space (PS3)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of October 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Bringing Back The Love Of Horror It has been a long time since I have had a game creep me out like the original Resident Evil did when I was a kid. Within the first twenty minutes of playing the game I felt the blood pumping with anticipation and a little excitement. And this isn't even anywhere near into the story at all. Pretty much, by this point you get off your ship look around and ask a few questions. Then out of no where the lights go out and you have to run for your life. Read More...

Google's G1 Android Phone...
by Taylor Rose [ Thursday, 16th of October 2008 - 03:44 PM ]
I know many of Pwned.com's members are, like me, big supporters of Google. I've been highly anticipating the Google G1 Android Phone, and it has finally been announced that the phone will be available in stores on October 22, 2008. What is Android, you might ask? Android is a software platform and operating system that Google developed for mobile devices. Based off of the Linux kernel, it also allows developers to code in a Java-esque syntax: however, it does not provide the full-class libraries/APIS that come with the Java SE or Me, but rather implements the Apache Harmony Java.  Regardless of its seemingly limited functionality, Paul Reddick, CEO of Handmark (a developer of mobile media apps and services for the iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and other OSs) thinks Android will "help breed the simple and elegant programs consumers crave".
