by [ Thursday, 16th of January 2014 - 04:42 PM ]
After a bit of a wait, Telltale Games announces the next episode's release date for The Wolf Among Us Telltale Games released the first episode of their Fables inspired series, The Wolf Among Us, in mid-October of last year. After a three month wait, on January 14th, Telltale President Kevin Bruner announced on their forums that the next episode is coming, and coming soon. According to Kevin, the next episode should be launching in the first week of February. Bruner spoke a bit about the delaying saying: "We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode, but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays). Story Time: Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of November 2013 - 05:57 PM ]
Looks Like Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Is Getting The HD Make Over With Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. Here's The Story Trailer And Some Proof I remember way back in 1997 when I first spun up Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee in my PS One. At the time I thought it was the pinnacle of graphics and fun story telling. Now it looks like we are getting a HD rendition of some sort with Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. From what I remember of the original and see below in the story trailer it is the same in most ways. But that is to be expected from a full remake am I right? Read More...

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Give You A Case Of Déjà Vu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of November 2013 - 11:28 PM ]
There Are A Couple Of New Trailers Out For Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. They Showcase Some New Gameplay And The Déjà Vu Mode I don't know if you want to take this as good news for PlayStation owners or not but it looks like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is going to have a mode just for them. This mode is simply called Déjà Vu and from the looks of it, it is a mode that allows you to replay missions in Metal Gear Solid V using the original skins from the PS One days. Exciting stuff to say the least. Read More...

Square Enix Announces Another Kingdom Hearts Appetizer
by Kenton Winkfield [ Monday, 21st of October 2013 - 10:33 PM ]
After the initial announcement of Kingdom Hearts III and the release window of 2015, I personally have been keeping my ear to the ground to find any and every shred of news about the game. Of course, the announcement also spurred me to dedicate the rest of my free time to playing every other Kingdom Hearts game I own. Thankfully shortly after Kingdom Hearts III's initial announcement another announcement came from Square Enix telling the world of the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX collection. Read More...

Review: Knock Knock
by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 16th of October 2013 - 10:34 PM ]
With Halloween just around the corner, I've wanted to play a creepy game. The problem with this is I can’t seem to find a game creepy enough to send chills down my spine, while not scaring me away from the game every five minutes (it's been a few months since the last time I played Amnesia). Thankfully, the fellows at the Russian development studio, Ice-Pick Lodge, have created a game to fit my personal chill levels without scaring me away. Knock Knock is a 2D side-scrolling survival game set in a single house in the middle of the woods with a single resident. The game was started by Ice-Pick Lodge when they "received an anonymous e-mail which suggested that we should produce some 'unconventional' game based upon the materials attached to the letter. Can We ‘Quiet’ Down And Focus On The Drama Surrounding Metal Gear Solid V?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of September 2013 - 10:35 PM ]
I want to start off this whole thing with a nice quote from the amazing film Orgazmo. Take a look before I go into the bulk of what I want to talk about in this posting about the "over sexualization" in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V and comments made my Kojima. Just in case you skipped the clip, I don't know why you would have, it is pretty much how I feel about this whole "Sexy up" the characters in the game drama all over the internet. If you haven't heard this yet, doubtful, there was a huge splash made when Hideo Kojima spoke about making the characters in MGSV more erotic in hopes to get cosplayers and figurines of the game all over every convention. This is paraphrased mind you, but that is the short and dirty version. Read More...

Remember Me Is Sounding A Lot Like Inception Mixed With The Matrix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of May 2013 - 08:34 PM ]
Admit it, the more you see on Remember Me, the more links that can be made to the title mentioned films. That is at least after checking out the new 'Memory Trailer' that hit the web recently. It touches upon pretty much one of the core aspects of the game, story and game play-wise. Memory if you somehow forgot about it by now. I'll let the video delve deeper into things, but here are a few interesting things I pulled out of. So we all should know that Nilin has the ability to "rework" the memories of pretty much anyone in the game. Read More...

How To Make A Better Call Of Duty
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 5th of April 2013 - 10:53 PM ]
With yearly installments coming from two different teams of developers and a horde of mindless followers, I felt it would be nice if I gave my two cents on how to improve upon the stagnant Call of Duty formula before it turns into the next Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. So let's see what's wrong with the formula now. 1.) Lag Compensation. Read More...

Where Is The Teamwork When You Need It?
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 19th of March 2013 - 06:59 PM ]
In a world full of Halos and Call of Dutys where players can be a one man army and carry their entire team to victory, how is it games like Army of Two, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, or even Battlefield manage to have such a large player base? The amount of people who group together isn't as large as it would seem. People, like me, don't have friends to play these games with because our friends either don't buy the game or trade it in shortly after it's released. So now I run into team based games alone and I'm forced to group up with people who either don't have a microphone or sit in a party with their friends who are playing different games. Read More...

Let's Welcome The Empusa To God Of War: Ascension
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of March 2013 - 12:19 AM ]
Just as they did before with the Manticore, the developers behind God Of War: Ascension have brought us new mythological creature making its debut to the franchise from the stories of yore. Most of you have probably never heard of Empusa before because she is not very prominent in many of the stories that we still hear today. Well none if my memory of my college years serves. Anyway, this servant of Hecate is now featured in the GoW franchise in some fashion. Read More...

Story Time With Remember Me
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of March 2013 - 08:26 PM ]
Now that we know some of the game play mechanics and now the release date for Remember Me (June 4th), let's take a little look at the basic version of the game's story. I do mean basic from the below trailer for the game. Pretty much you take control of Nilin a memory hunter in Neo-Paris. The year is 2084 and it would seem that memory manipulation is the new rage in keeping humans down and in their place. Nilin finds out that she has been wiped of memories and wants to get them back. Oh, and there looks to be like some kind of zombies mixed in along her path to get them back from Mega Corp Memorize. Read More...

So Many God Of War: Ascension Spoilers It Makes Kratos Sad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 2nd of February 2013 - 03:48 AM ]
It's been a bit since we've had some real updates or news about God Of War: Ascension so it would seem a good time to give a bit more. Screw it. Not a bit more. Let's go ahead and let loose the first 30 minutes of the game, a few screen shots, a video on how they made the Manticore, and the teased Super Bowl commercial. How does that sound? Spectacular is the word you are looking for. Read More...

Big Surprise... Lex Luthor In Injustice: Gods Among Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of January 2013 - 11:59 PM ]
As it should come as no surprise, Lex Luthor has joined the roster for NetherRealm's upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us. Why would he not have been in the game with his Superman/Meta-human hate speech? It makes sense. But either way, with the below trailer he has been officially added to the "Gods Among Us." Like the pun? Outside of that, there doesn't seem to be much more for the title here at all. Read More...

God Of War: Ascension Collector's Edition And Pre-Orders
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of October 2012 - 08:46 PM ]
Attention collectors! Looks like we have a look at what is coming for the upcoming God Of War: Ascension Collector's Edition and… It looks… just like every other Collector's Editions out there. Statue, DLC pass, and all. Not that I am not excited for the GoW:A and I won't be getting this version of the game, but it seems a little blah. At least it is only $80 unlike the GoW 3 Collector's Edition. So what is in this Collector's box? Read More...

PETA-mon Or Pokémon Black & Blue
by [ Wednesday, 10th of October 2012 - 06:23 PM ]
Many of you know the group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). You know their missions, their methods, and you have your opinions on it. Good or bad, you can’t deny their ability to latch onto trends like a starving leech. Video games seem to be their latest target. They’ve created parody games before, including Cooking Mamma: Mamma Kills Animals, Super Tofu Boy, and Mario Kills Tanooki. Finally, 16 years after their initial release, PETA is taking a swing at Pokémon. Their latest game, coinciding with the release of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, is Pokémon Black and Blue.
