This Week In Video Games 3/3/25 — 3/7/25
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of March 2025 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The video games just kept on getting pumped out and updated this week as we come to an end of a doozey of a week. One where we had the launch of Split Fiction and announcements for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss to keep us all going with the cycle. Along with a good teaser for Side Quest and a new event kicking off for Marvel Rivals, there just seemed to be no end to the things we were getting for our video games. I also know we still were not able to get to everything that was out there too, so again, it was a doozey of a week in the industry for us to have here. Read More...

Set Out For A New Adventure In Game Design With Side Quest
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of March 2025 - 06:00 PM ]
Side Quest The spin-off series from Mythic Quest, Side Quest, is dropping out there very soon for us all to pick up yet another Side Quest Just as the fourth season of Mythic Quest is coming to an end, it looks as if things are going to carry on a bit more with Side Quest. This would be the spin-off show that was in the works from Ubisoft and Apple TV+ to further capitalize on the popularity of the show while giving more of the cast and crew ways to flex their talents a bit more. It also allows for some of the smaller side characters in the bigger story some time to shine. Just as any good side quest in a video game would do out there. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of February 2025 - 08:00 PM ]
Midnight Murder Club Fun and new updates for Midnight Murder Club are on the way as we gear up for an Early Access event about to go down for Midnight Murder Club The Midnight Murder Club has had some fun out there on the PC and PS5 with the early beta that went down. The team over at Velan Studios has learned a whole lot from that and many other things along the way in the cycle of the development. That should be the case with all games that are going through this process. In this instance, it looks as if the team saw the fun that we were all having in Midnight Murder Club and opted to add some of the player-made fun in as full features and ways to make it easier for us all to play together too. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 22nd of February 2025 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go putting another week down with so much more than video games covered here. Just as we promised, we dipped into some TV with Twisted Metal, some film with Until Dawn, and then interactive live experiences with Universal Horror Unleashed coming to Las Vegas. Sure, the first two there are based on video games but the latter one lets us live in something like our horror video games out there. Interactive experiences, as they all are. Read More...

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Is Coming Out Of The Jungles Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of February 2025 - 10:00 PM ]
Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid fans now have a release date to mark down for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater It feels like it has been a long time coming, but we finally have a release date for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and it will be in 2025. It feels like this was a secret that Konami was keeping under wraps for a while now, but on August 28th, we will finally get to see how well this game has been updated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is looking more and more like a shot-for-shot remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 than any kind of reimagining of the source material, but maybe I was hoping for too much from the start. Nonetheless, we have the release date set and a few little extras on the way depending on which platform you are looking to play the game on. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 15th of February 2025 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Yet another week to place into the books and so many video games and other things to talk about out there. Even if we did mainly get to the games during the week, but more on that later. Especially since it feels rare that we get an update for Bloodlines 2 and then have so many announcements flow out of the State Of Play this week. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Remember Where Hope Turned To Ash With The Announcement Of Liminal Point
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of February 2025 - 06:00 PM ]
Liminal Point A new indie-horror title, Liminal Point, is announced with Liminal Point taking us back to some classic roots in the genre It is time to remember some of those classic roots in the horror genre out there with the announcement for Liminal Point. Not because this is a game show or trivia-style game about the genre, but more that it looks as if HideWorks is leaning into some of the elements that made it so popular back when titles like Resident Evil and Silent Hill were just emerging. Yeah, we are going way back and with Liminal Point not leaning into the other basics of classic visuals to give it a retro feeling. That feels like the bigger twist when it comes to titles like this as it does look like a game that could be coming out in 2026 on the PC instead of one that came out in 1996 on the PC. Read More...

South Of Midnight Gives Us A Bit More Of Its Moodiness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of February 2025 - 06:00 PM ]
South Of Midnight South Of Midnight goes a bit more of the stop motion to offer up more of the “feel” South Of Midnight is giving It looks like we are going to be getting a whole lot of mood out there for South Of Midnight just before it launches on the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Just in case we all did not have a feel for what Compulsion Games was going for from all of the trailers and little bits of gameplay we have had before. With April 8th not too far off, seeing how the game is going to function is usually the better idea for those looking to pick it up. That is not what we have here today, as we have a new stop motion video for South Of Midnight to help set the tone and “feel” of the game. Read More...
