It would appear we are in for a long wait to see the rest of the roster for the upcoming Mortal Kombat as it has been about two months since the big reveal at E3 and we are not even over the half way point roster-wise. We are at 12 characters - 10 of which confirmed playable - out of the 28 total and unless the GUI for character selection has changed, 26 of those will be playable . With the crazy amount of news coming out of Gamescom this year, even a little teaser trailer of the recently announced Torchlight 2 is generating plenty of buzz. Besides showing some outdoor environments, there really isn't a whole lot shown here, but the teaser did absolutely everything it needed to accomplish - raise the level of excitement and anticipation. Diablo III, just the title sends a rush of excitement through players all over the world. Today at Gamescom the Blizzard team announced a new feature they are calling the "Caravan". What is the caravan? Well basically it's taking a group of skilled craftsmen with you where ever you go. Rather than going back to a town you will have a living breathing camp that follows you from location to location giving you round the clock access to NPC's, quest givers and artisans. Artisans will be your crafters, from blacksmiths to jewel crafters, and you will add these artisans to your Caravan as you travel the world, finding them through the main quest line. Not long ago BioWare announced Dragon Age II with a website and more recently a good amount of information from hands-on previews and a full article in Game Informer. At the EA press conference in Cologne Germany during Gamescom, EA gave us our first look at the cinematic trailer for Dragon Age II and it is definitely worth watching. The trailer is titled "Destiny" and it is a spectacle to behold; nothing less should be expected from BioWare. Today more songs were revealed for Harmonix's Dance Central at Gamescom 2010. Currently one of the only games worth purchasing Microsoft's Kinect, Dance Central combines music, fun and dancing to create an experience unlike any other. I know that phrase is used an awful lot in this industry, but after experiencing it for myself at E3, I can definitively say I will purchase a XBox 360 and a Kinect specifically for this title. With today's announcement, the song list increases to 20. With only 30+ songs promised on the disc, you may be concerned about the depth of the roster, but with a list that now includes Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" and Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam", I don't think you have too much to worry about. I had no idea what I was in for when I took the controls to play Epic Mickey at E3 2010. It did not take long for me to realize that the "epic" in the title was well earned. So, after taking command of one of the most recognizable characters in the world and playing for 15 minutes - creating and destroying at will - I was sold on Warren Specter's latest project. It wasn't that long ago (*cough*...E3...*cough*) that Microsoft announced its latest XBox redesign - the Xbox 360 Slim. Well, news has been flying around that an Arcade version of the XBox 360 Slim is getting an August release date along with some even slimmer hardware. According to German Amazon.com, the XBox 360 Slim Arcade is slated for an August 20th release date, and will come with only 4GB of storage space (no news on wireless capabilities yet). Contrary to the recent inception of the XBox 360 Slim which only comes in a 250GB hard drive option. Sack it to Me – the "Big Announcements" Edition You ever hop into the level creator for LittleBigPlanet and feel like there was something missing. Something that stopped you from being able to faithfully recreate the entire game of Super Mario Bros. using their sandbox. Something you couldn't quite place your finger on. If you haven't been watching, the LionsHead website has been showing leaders of our time (Abraham Lincoln for example) and quotes underneath each one followed by a number. Hades Boss Fight Round 2 So on Monday we were able to give you a nice view of what the Lord of the Dead would be looking like. We've seen him only in a few minor shots in the God of War FMVs before that. But now we get one further peek at how this epic boss/boss fight will look and feel. All of this through some more screen shots from the game and what is being shown at GamesCom. I know it is all Hades vs. Kratos in those shots there, but it still looks amazingly stunning.
