Living in Vegas it is rare that we get to see snow. I'm talking real heavy snow. I personally hate the stuff but I do love the temperature that comes along side with snow. I hope you were not overwhelmed by the last batch of videos we brought to you from Gamescom 2010. There were a whole lot of new videos pumped out into cyberspace as we said before. Therefore, we would bring out even more of those videos posted throughout the convention's entire run. Up until now, I have been only mildly interested in Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. It has an okay concept, but the screens, clips and hands-on I have seen or had up until now have done nothing to overly impress me. Please notice how I said "up until now." If you look back, you'll see it in the sentence prior. We were given a really great look at where the game has progressed to so far and it feels and looks like a whole new game to me. If I have not dropped enough hints yet, let it be explicitly known that I am not a big fan of the "retro" game look in modern times. I see it as a way for companies to milk gamers who don't have a better head on their shoulders so they can pretend to be gaming back when they first started. Gamers put money in the companies' pocket so they may play a game they've very likely played a billion times already. *cough* Golden Eye *cough* So when I heard that the most recent Splatterhouse trailer coming out of Gamescom showed off the retro look of the title, I was a bit pissed and extremely concerned. It would appear we are in for a long wait to see the rest of the roster for the upcoming Mortal Kombat as it has been about two months since the big reveal at E3 and we are not even over the half way point roster-wise. We are at 12 characters - 10 of which confirmed playable - out of the 28 total and unless the GUI for character selection has changed, 26 of those will be playable . Now if you were a good reader and didn't skip to the images to see who was just shown off, nor if you figured it out from the article image, the two newly announced characters are Cyrax and Kitana. With the crazy amount of news coming out of Gamescom this year, even a little teaser trailer of the recently announced Torchlight 2 is generating plenty of buzz. Besides showing some outdoor environments, there really isn't a whole lot shown here, but the teaser did absolutely everything it needed to accomplish - raise the level of excitement and anticipation. Diablo III, just the title sends a rush of excitement through players all over the world. Today at Gamescom the Blizzard team announced a new feature they are calling the "Caravan". What is the caravan? Well basically it's taking a group of skilled craftsmen with you where ever you go. Rather than going back to a town you will have a living breathing camp that follows you from location to location giving you round the clock access to NPC's, quest givers and artisans. Artisans will be your crafters, from blacksmiths to jewel crafters, and you will add these artisans to your Caravan as you travel the world, finding them through the main quest line. You will be working on gaining each artisan's loyalty by completing quest lines for each artisan while completing the main quest. Read More...

Not long ago BioWare announced Dragon Age II with a website and more recently a good amount of information from hands-on previews and a full article in Game Informer. At the EA press conference in Cologne Germany during Gamescom, EA gave us our first look at the cinematic trailer for Dragon Age II and it is definitely worth watching. The trailer is titled "Destiny" and it is a spectacle to behold; nothing less should be expected from BioWare. Today more songs were revealed for Harmonix's Dance Central at Gamescom 2010. Currently one of the only games worth purchasing Microsoft's Kinect, Dance Central combines music, fun and dancing to create an experience unlike any other. I know that phrase is used an awful lot in this industry, but after experiencing it for myself at E3, I can definitively say I will purchase a XBox 360 and a Kinect specifically for this title. With today's announcement, the song list increases to 20. With only 30+ songs promised on the disc, you may be concerned about the depth of the roster, but with a list that now includes Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" and Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam", I don't think you have too much to worry about. I had no idea what I was in for when I took the controls to play Epic Mickey at E3 2010. It did not take long for me to realize that the "epic" in the title was well earned. So, after taking command of one of the most recognizable characters in the world and playing for 15 minutes - creating and destroying at will - I was sold on Warren Specter's latest project. Today, I watched the just-released, jaw-dropping opening cinematic and I have gone from being sold to being ready to play it now. It wasn't that long ago (*cough*...E3...*cough*) that Microsoft announced its latest XBox redesign - the Xbox 360 Slim. Well, news has been flying around that an Arcade version of the XBox 360 Slim is getting an August release date along with some even slimmer hardware. According to German Amazon.com, the XBox 360 Slim Arcade is slated for an August 20th release date, and will come with only 4GB of storage space (no news on wireless capabilities yet). Contrary to the recent inception of the XBox 360 Slim which only comes in a 250GB hard drive option. The new XBox Slim Arcade seems like it could possibly support some sort of flash memory or other small storage device as an option. Read More...

Sack it to Me – the "Big Announcements" Edition You ever hop into the level creator for LittleBigPlanet and feel like there was something missing. Something that stopped you from being able to faithfully recreate the entire game of Super Mario Bros. using their sandbox. Something you couldn't quite place your finger on. Something you had to muddle around with the jet packs a bit to get to work correctly as well as run a blue tint over the entire screen for immersion's sake. Ok, enough of that and on to the point.
