The Outlast Trials Creeps Some New Gameplay Out There For Us

Outlast

The world of Outlast is back with more for The Outlast Trials with gameplay to get us all in that sneaky mode

We have been waiting with a bit of bated breath for anything more in terms of The Outlast Trials. At least I know I have since it was first announced and looked as if Red Barrels was going to give us all more of what made the original IP so much fun. I know, fun may not be the word that many would use given how much the horrors of the Outlast titles haunted you, but that does not change a thing. More so since we are back with more from gamescom 2021 and some actual gameplay to frighten us all with as we wait for 2022 to roll out. That is when we are going to be seeing this title hit the PC it would seem. That is the truly horrific part to all of this.

More or less, as expected, we will be heading back out in the same style of things in the Outlast titles where we will need to be as stealthy as possible to try to survive everything. This time with a few more friends and with a few ways to distract, disorient, or take out the things stalking us. IT does look like we will have some form of goggles on our heads to replace the night vision and other elements we had to worry about in Outlast, which will be nice if we have to worry about catching allies and everything else too. It is still a little unclear on how we survive it all, but that will most likely come when we play the game live just to keep things feeling fresh. Have a look and get ready for those nightmares to creep back in.

The Outlast Trials — Gameplay Reveal

Check out the first reveal of gameplay footage from The Outlast Trials.

Set in the height of the Cold War era, players take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. Imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility, players will be thrust into a series of physical and mental ordeals, tormented by iconic characters, and challenged alone or in teams to survive with their sanity intact.

Did you expect the gameplay to look and flow about the same or did you think it was going to deviate from Outlast somehow? Will we be able to take down many of the enemies out there or will it always be some form of scripted scene we get to trigger? How interactive do you think we will have to be with the others in the game or will those too be scripted? Let us all know your thoughts on this and much more down in the comments. As more for The Outlast Trials drops on us, we will pass it along to you. Keep a close eye on the site and our socials to be able to keep as up to date as we are.
