[PC Review] Sam & Max: Season Two
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 14th of December 2008 - 07:46 PM ]
Sam & Max are back in their second collection of episodes appropriately titled, Sam & Max: Season Two. For those who don't know, Sam & Max are a detective duo, calling themselves "the freelance police", based off of the comic series created by Steve Purcell. Sam, a 6-foot dog in stereotypical detective attire, and Max, a rabbit with a pension for violence, solve crimes without any regard for the law and rarely without conflict. The series consists of references various aspects of pop culture, offbeat humorous dialogue, and quick wit. In Ice Station Santa, Sam & Max journey to the North Pole after being attacked at their office by a large robot, which was tagged as being sent by Santa. Read More...

[XBox 360 Review] Gears Of War 2
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 8th of December 2008 - 12:32 AM ]
This review is long overdue, but with a very busy schedule lately, it’s better late than never.Gears of War 2 is Epic Games sequel to the acclaimed original, which was one of the best games to ever grace the XBox 360. Will part 2 rise above its predecessor or fall to the way side of sequels that can't capture that same feeling of the original? After sitting down and getting some good playing time in to the campaign and single player, I came away feeling this was Gears of War 1.5. Read More...

The Desert Bus for hope
by Cameron [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2008 - 09:54 PM ]
The Guys at LoadingReadyRun are doing it again. They are playing the infamous Desert Bus game as long as they can for charity.  Supported by Geoff from Pure Pwnage, Felicia Day from "The Guild", Will Wheaton from Star Trek The Next Generation, and Tycho from Penny-Arcade the boys (and some girls I'm assuming) are playing the game Desert Bud for as long as they can. The more you donate the longer they play the mind numbing game. At the time of writing they have managed to raise nearly 60 thousand dollars. Read More...

Every game has a following, with some more fanatical than others. A group of Half-Life fans have taken it upon themselves to fully remake Half-life to run on the Source Engine. Black Mesa : Source as it is to be known combines the deep, rich story of the original with graphics that take full advantage of the Source Engine. Custom, High-resolution textures, custom models, detailed environments all aim to create to ultimate immersive half-life experience (Yes the Crowbar still looks cool) Now... do you want to know the best part? Google Brings You Ninjas!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of November 2008 - 11:47 PM ]
Spice up your inbox with colors and themes While trolling around the interwebs I stumbled across a nice little tidbit from Guild actress Felicia Day. GMail Themes! So I had to go see if I was one of these lucky few and low and behold there it was on one of my accounts. So not completely gaming news, but it is kind of cool geek news. But it looks like a select "few" people have been selected to take a gander at GMail's new Themes for their Beta of the service. No real details on when it will be wide release, but there are some really cool themes selected. Read More...

by Sam [ Wednesday, 12th of November 2008 - 06:16 PM ]
The PC demo for Valve's upcoming survivor horror game Left 4 Dead is now available for download without putting down a pre-order like in the 360 version. I haven't got a chance to try, or even download it yet. Hell I don't even know if my computer will run it. It seems worthy of trying, seeing all the good things I've been hearing about it.     UPDATE: They released the demo free for the 360 in the marketplace. Just downloaded it this afternoon. A Steam Cloud is rolling in...
by [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 02:20 AM ]
Today, Valve has announced a platform that will store game applications online so that gamers can access them from any PC. Affectionately titled Steam Cloud, the November zombie thriller Left 4 Dead will ship with out-of-the-box support. According to Valve, the Steam Cloud "just works," meaning that any changes a gamer makes to configurations in-game such as button layouts, difficulty settings, or multiplayer options will be automatically delegated to the user’s Steam Cloud account on another computer. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, explains: "For some time now, Steam has allowed gamers to log on from any computer in the world and access their applications. This also makes it easy to upgrade a PC without worrying about losing your games. Read More...

And There Was Asshatery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of October 2008 - 05:39 PM ]
Gears Of War 2 Invades Torrent Sites So a new game is about to roll out and the pirates go to town trying to break the disk and get it out there for the masses. That being said, there is the 7gb torrent of the game being spread around the net for people to use for free. But that isn't what this article is about. It's more along the lines of what the source was going into. Piracy <RANT> So we all know it can get expensive to buy all the games that we want to play in today's market. Read More...
