Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Is What Quantic Dream Was Teasing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won't care about something like that though and will just throw their $9. Read More...

Quantic Dream Is Announcing Something New On January 28th
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Quantic Dream has a new teaser site up and ominous Tweets about a possible new IP being announced on January 28th 2015 Quantic Dream has a nice little list of titles under their belt and it looks like there may be one more getting added into the mix. Most recently they have made huge splashes on the PS3 with Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. Both great titles in my opinion even though most other outlets and gamers would greatly disagree. They've also made another title that was well received on the PS2, Xbox, and PC called Indigo Prophecy if you are still here trying to find a reason to care about this new little tease from Quantic Dream. Review: Beyond: Two Souls
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of October 2013 - 09:10 PM ]
Beyond: Two Souls has finally come out and worked its way into our gaming world. If you've been hiding under a rock and just stumbled upon this review by accident, this is the new title written and directed by David Cage of Heavy Rain fame. Quantic Dream being the developer in case you are in from that angle. Either way, in case you are on the fence about giving Beyond: Two Souls a play or a purchase, I am here again to help you make an informed-ish decision. The Story This is a story about a girl, Ellen Page Jodie Holmes, who is 'different' and refuses to use lip balm that also happens to have been born with an 'entity' or ghost attached to her. Let's Take Another Look Behind Beyond: Two Souls
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of July 2013 - 09:46 PM ]
I swear if there ends up being more "behind the scenes" than actual game play for Beyond: Two Souls I will start a riot. I'm talking a full scale riot where we end up with a plethora of ghost wandering around attaching themselves to little kids so they can make the experience we should have received. Now that's a riot. Let us hope that things don't need to progress to that point and let us place our hope that the game will be long and awesome enough to have necessitated all these behind the scenes video. Who Wants To See The Game Play Of Beyond: Two Souls?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of May 2013 - 06:16 PM ]
Did you missed the Tribeca Film Festival, and in turn the new footage for Beyond: Two Souls? This is most likely the case if you clicked in here to see the new trailer and about 35 minutes of the actual game play. If the reports of Beyond only being an average of ten hours long, that's about 1/20 of the actual game. Isn't that lovely? In the instance that you are one of those "don't want to spoil anything" people, I'll give you a run down on what is touched on in the longer video besides a bit of the story. Read More...

Willem Dafoe Now Listed Among Beyond: Two Souls Cast
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of March 2013 - 07:19 PM ]
We all know from last year's E3, one of the big calls to Beyond: Two Souls was the fact that Ellen Page was lending her voice and physical acting skills. How this was biggest news that Sony and Quantic Dream wanted to push is still beyond me, but it was. It seems like instead of trying to focus on what the actual game play will handle like, they just want to point to star power. Again this is the case, but at least we get a little bit more as to what is going on. Willem Dafoe, of Speed 2 fame, is now in the mix of names to lend voice and acting skill to B: TS. Read More...

Beyond: Two Souls Game Play Kind Of Revealed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of August 2012 - 09:45 PM ]
Beyond: Two Souls was announced at E3 2012. This is the new game from Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Indigo Prophecy) that features Ellen Page as the main protagonist. Hopefully you remember that being the big news and then they didn't show anything more than her character sitting in a room silent and motionless. Go ahead and look that up, it will be a little important to the rest of this here. If you are in the know already, then let's move on. Read More...

Let's Now Take A Look At How That Kara Tech Demo Was Made
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of March 2012 - 09:39 PM ]
Near the beginning of the week I showed you the amazing Kara Tech Demo from Quantic Dreams. See as I have yet to see anything on UDK4 I am still saying that this has to be one of the coolest things I have seen from GDC 2012. I won't go further into it as you can read the previous article to get all of my thoughts on it. As for the purpose of this posting, well if you look below we get to see all the work that went into just making that tech demo as well as what we can assume will be part of the process of their next title. Everything from the rendering of the actual actress as the android being built as well as to how they mapped the facial movements so perfectly. Read More...

So I know it may be a little late in the game and that most of you have already seen Quantic Dream's new Tech Demo titled Kara but I still felt like you needed to have my opinion on it. If you feel otherwise, why did you click the link here? But in all seriousness, if you haven't seen the demo yet I have included it just below. Take a look and then continue on for the rest of these ramblings. So while this is just a tech demo showing off the amazing talent of Quantic Dream one would have to say that it is extremely impressive. Read More...

Dreamcast Coming to PSN and Xbox Live Arcade
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2010 - 05:56 PM ]
The Dreamcast is making a comeback and this time it's not in console form. Sega's last console attempt is getting ready to release two of it's popular titles: Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventures on the PlayStation Network and XBox Live Arcade this fall. The titles will get the usual treatment and advantages for being on PSN and XBLA, so expect Achievements/Trophies and much better HD visuals. Sega is planning on porting more titles in the coming months in conjunction with the 11th anniversary of Dreamcast's launch (has it been that long?). Read More...

Review: Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 9th of April 2010 - 09:22 PM ]
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, developed by Namco and localized by XSeed Games, is an interesting game. I felt like I was playing an anime with many Japanese RPG elements infused within. Fragile Dreams is about a young boy named Seto, who is on a quest to find others in the world after nearly everyone has disappeared. After coming in contact with a young girl named Ren, she runs off and he is on a quest to find her and hopefully others. Early on in his journey he finds a Personal Frame Unit that is a talking backpack, and helps guide Seto through many of his trials and tribulations. Read More...

Mini Review: The Heavy Rain Chronicles: The Taxidermist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 08:26 PM ]
So you played through Heavy Rain and seen all the endings, now what do you do? You could play around and just keep killing the hooker or store clerk for fun. You could try to find other ways to see Ethan off himself if Shaun dies. You could even replay the sex scene, that got no negative mention in the media, and see if you can glitch Madison to stay naked. Just to name a few things to do. You could do one of those options. Review: Heavy Rain
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 9th of March 2010 - 11:37 PM ]
To every person who has ever claimed that they are all about story over game play, be prepared to put your money where your mouth is. An ambitious title from start to finish, Heavy Rain will challenge you not only on your assertions, but possibly your morality and level of immersion as well. Whether you call it “interactive media,” a “story-driven game” or “Choose Your Own Adventure gone wrong,” Heavy Rain will intrigue you enough to play it and it will elicit a reaction whether it be for good or for ill. The story is in the not-to-distant future of a city gripped in fear of a kidnapper / serial killer. With little hope of catching the killer, the hysteria mounts as another victim is taken.
