Review — Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
by Chris Avila [ Thursday, 22nd of November 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Mechanicus We sit down and review Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. A new 40K RTS game with some weird choices. Here is our review of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Launching onto Steam like the ever-increasing swarm that is the Warhammer franchise, Mechanicus tries to head in a different direction than previous titles. Focusing on the often background relegated computer nerds and mechanics of the Imperium, the Adeptus Mechanicum seems like a strange move. They do not really fight, they are the ones that build the spaceships and design weapons for the Imperium at large but never as frontline fighters. Read More...

Review — Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of November 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed We sit down and review Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The next in the long-running franchise that takes us to Ancient Greece. Here is our review of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey It has been a long time and we have finally hit an era I have been hoping for with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as we have gone back to Ancient Greece to see how it fits into the grander scheme of the franchise. It has been the location and era I have been selecting for years now when Ubisoft has placed out their surveys looking for ideas. It just seems right for the Assassin’s Creed universe to me and now we are heading there. Read More...

Review — Hitman 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of November 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman 2. The story continues as Agent 47 continues his assassination spree. Here is our review of Hitman 2 The world of assassination is back in full swing as Hitman 2 is finally here and fully out on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. IO Interactive is back in the saddle to give us more to kill and sneak through with Warner Bros. at the helm of publishing the game. It is something that some thought could have caused a problem, but it is almost too hard to make a bad Hitman title as it would seem. Read More...

Review — Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of November 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Sinner We sit down and review Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption. A boss battler action-RPG aimed at escaping Hell. Here is our review of Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption If you did not think we had enough video games out there to take into the depths of Hell as of late, then let me bring Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption back up for you. This would be the latest title from Dark Star that does that in the way of a Souls-inspired boss battler game. Only this one has a twist where the character we are playing gets weaker as he progresses instead of stronger. Read More...

Review — Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of October 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu We sit down and review Call Of Cthulhu. Another tabletop RPG is bringing its fun into the digital side. Here is our review of Call Of Cthulhu Horror games this year seemed to be few and far between when it came to Halloween this year, but thankfully we have Call Of Cthulhu to look for and possibly bring all of those thrills and chills for the holiday. Not only that, but also show off how much work Cyanide Studios put into bringing this tabletop game to life in a digital world. Something we have seen a few times in the past even if they did not pan out as well as we would all hope. Read More...

Review — Pathfinder: Kingmaker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of October 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Pathfinder We sit down and review Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Can they bring the tabletop RPG into a digital world? Here is our review of Pathfinder: Kingmaker It is not the first time, and most likely not the last, that a tabletop game like Pathfinder: Kingmaker has been optioned to head toward a video game side of things. Something that Owlcat Games went out of their way to get funded, started, and then published on the PC. From Kickstarter to landing Deep Silver publishing the game, we are finally at a place where we can play Pathfinder: Kingmaker all by ourselves and not need to schedule a full table to play. Preview The Madness In Store For Us In Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of October 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu One more trailer for Call Of Cthulhu has dropped to give us a taste of what Call Of Cthulhu and what others are already thinking about it Do not expect to see or hear about any delays for Call Of Cthulhu now as it looks like this new title from Cyanide Studios has been set to gold. That is, the game has gone gold and is in the final stages to make sure we all get our copies on October 30th. So, I guess there still could be a delay if the manufacturer of the physical copies of Call Of Cthulhu causes an issue, but that just means you can aim to pick it up on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC through digital means if that is the case and you need some hot Cthulhu loving right away. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of October 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange We sit down and review Life Is Strange 2 — Roads. This is the first episode of the latest Life Is Strange. Here is our review on how they did The wait is over and we can finally jump back into the weird world that DontNod has crafted with Life Is Strange 2. It is not a continuation of the original story, but a completely different one just set in the same universe and timeline you made from the first title. It may sound a bit confusing if you have not been following along with everything for Life Is Strange 2, but that is why we are here. We are also here to play the game and let you know if it is worth your time and money. Read More...

Review — Strange Brigade
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Strange Brigade We sit down and review Strange Brigade. A Co-Op romp through a very strange and mystical world. Here is our review of Strange Brigade The time has come for us to take on the world with the Strange Brigade. Not only the name of the organization we will be playing a part of but also the latest title to come from Rebellion in the way of a Co-Op third-person shooter. It has had a rather fast turnaround time from announcement to launch and that has cast some weirdness on Strange Brigade since. At least from some of the gaming community. Read More...

Here’s our review of The Council: Ripples The intrigue continues as The Council: Ripples has dropped out there and we have now had a chance to play it through. There is something huge building in the game and it looks like we are about to hit the point Big Bad Wolf has been building toward. There have been other smaller attempts to do just this in the past from White Wolf, but this is the next official word on where the game is and where it is going at this time. Even though it is still a bit off from officially launching to the general populace, we had a chance to get our hands on this edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. Read More...

Review — Jurassic World Evolution
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Jurassic World We sit down and review Jurassic World Evolution. It is the park simulator we have all been asking for that can go horribly wrong. Here is our review of Jurassic World Evolution It seemed like it took way to long, but the park simulator we have all been waiting for is here with Jurassic World Evolution. At least the park simulator we have all be asking for since the first film released and gaming technology made it possible to do. I guess that is why Frontier Developments took control and put together a version of the Jurassic World IP to sate that want the gamers and film fans have been craving. Read More...

Review — Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Vampyr We sit down and review Vampyr. A new take on the vampire mythology where NPC deaths matter. Here is our review of Vampyr It has been hyped, delayed, hyped again, and now Vampyr has finally risen from the grave to bring us another interpretation on the mythology of the children of the night and the sweet music they make. At least that is the goal that DontNod has set out to do here with the game and its different take on a historic tragedy most know little about. I know I have been hyped to get to play the game and see how this dark world thrives as well as the undead bloodsuckers that inhabit it. Read More...
