Flower Set for Release
by Jesse [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2009 - 12:42 AM ]
In 2007, ThatGameCompany released their first game for the PS3. The game entitled Flow, was a vastly enhanced remake of the original award-winning flash game that had been released for Windows and Mac. Now they’re set for their second PS3 release with Flower, a game that is a successor of sorts to Flow. Officially set for release on February 12th on the PlayStation Store, Flower has players control flower petals as they float in the wind through a variety of environments. As with Flow, Flower’s biggest attractions thus far is its unique and artistic design. Read More...

An American Early Evil
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of January 2009 - 06:13 PM ]
Resident Evil 5 Demo Premiers Exclusively on Xbox 360 Starting January 26 Who says that Capcom doesn't care about us Americans? They do. They just have a specific time frame for giving us slathering fans of Resident Evil what we want. This time in two stages. Granted anyone who has a web connection or knows how to download things outside of the US region have already had their hands on these, but you will be able to get them though XBox Live without having to work around language issues. On the 16th, that's in 2 days from now, Live users can download the game trailer shown at the Tokyo Game show last year, 2008. It has been around the net for a bit, but there is something about watching videos on a nice large TV over a little youtube window. Read More...

Movie Date or PSP Game?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of January 2009 - 05:50 PM ]
Get LocoRoco 2 for the Cost of Just Two Movie Tickets! Given the times that money is suppose to be tight, it would be nice to be able to manage your entertainment money in the right way. Right? No need to shell out the cash of crappy films or films that will make you ball like a little kid who just had their candy stolen from them by an evil kleptomaniac. Unless you are into that over playing an addictive game. Well just to give you an alternative to going to the above mentioned, Sony is placing out LocoRoco 2 for the cost of taking a date to go see a film. Read More...

Helghast Invade Europe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of January 2009 - 05:14 PM ]
Killzone 2 PS3 Bundle Coming to Europe Sony like their bundles it would seem. Almost as much as they like not dropping the price of their system. And from the look of things, they like pumping them out for everyone but the US. At least at first. But that's just a minor thing. I'm being nit picky. Well if you have yet to guess it, there is a full on Killzone 2 PS3 bundle that is going to flooding the market come release date of the new game. As a matter of fact, in some European locations it will be out 2 days before game launch. Sorry there is not a list of these locations as of yet. Read More...

Home Is Complex
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2009 - 06:35 PM ]
Home Details From CES 2009 Those of you who are not all that thrilled with Home as of yet, I have some good news. Lets just hope it stays that way. One of the things I had to ask the Sony and in turn the Home people was about the content of Home. They didn't want to comment much on the failed release time frames, but that's ok. What they did have to show as well as inform me on. First, the long awaited Helghast skin for your Home toon to wear. Read More...

How'd They Do That?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2009 - 05:22 PM ]
Commentary On LittleBigPlanet From Some Of The Design Team There is no doubt that LittleBigPlanet, which will from here on be referred to as LBP, was a huge game for the PS3. There are almost 2 million copies out there in the wild currently. Why is that? Well if you haven't seen or played it, it is part and partial to the fact that their sandbox word that lets players build their own levels. It is very robust and hundreds of thousands of custom levels already built. But this is not what this is about. Read More...

Evil Xbox Vs. Evil PS3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2009 - 01:58 AM ]
Resident Evil 5 Comparison So while at the Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend, I actually got to play Resident Evil 5 at the Capcom party. I did not get a chance to play it while displayed on the side of the Planet Hollywood, which was awesome although cold, but I did get to play it where they had the two versions running side by side. Exact same monitors and connections. The only difference is the systems they were running on. Read More...

Killzone 2 at CES 2009
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of January 2009 - 05:04 AM ]
Killzone 2 at CES 2009 Killzone 2 at CES 2009 So while palling around the Sony booth at this years CES, I stumbled upon the area where they had Killzone 2 set up. The display there was not all that stand out, but it was a great find to come across. While there, I figured I would take in some of the cinematics of the game. That was until I bumped into Kyle Shubel, Managing Producer for Killzone, and he offered up a taste of the game. So being me, I walked away with my head hung low startled that someone talked to me. In An Underwater City Far Far Away...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2009 - 06:08 PM ]
Bioshock can 'do a Star Wars', says 2K boss So one thing I hate to see in a franchise, be it a Movie, TV, or Video Game one, is when they make such a huge hit with the first one that they turn around and churn out loads of crap to try and make a quick buck while the franchise is still in the height of popularity. I won't disagree that it isn't a bad way to make money. People will shell out for a sequel thinking it will be as good as the first. Read More...

Top 20 LittleBigPlanet Level Kit Predictions for 2009 It's the end of the year and it is time for all those absurd Top [Insert BS Here] lists to start hitting the interwebs. [PS3 Review] Rise Of The Argonauts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of December 2008 - 09:02 PM ]
A Tale Of Greek Tragedy? The Good: One thing that I really loved about this game was the story telling of the game. First that it was very Greek and somewhat very close to something one would read in their Ancient Histories class. Second, the fact that you could choose your own adventure as you go a long, with choices based on one of the four patron gods of the game. And these choices are more than what other games allow for. Like if you chose to be a dick or a good follower of Ares, it gave a totally different outcome. Read More...
