by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of May 2008 - 04:16 PM ]
NVIDIA To "Simplify" Product Range I know this isn't that awesome for a lot of us on PWNed. Or at least it should be. We are all the awesome when it comes to gaming machines and gaming in general. Right? I thought so. But what if you are not part of this society and want in. You can get lost real quick unless you know what is going on and what you need to keep up with all of us PWNstars. This is just what NVIDIA is trying to fix. Mainly by keeping the tech specs on the box understandable to even your lay gamer. Read More…

Mirror's Edge Gameplay Trailer Debuts
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 10:53 PM ]
Debuting today is the official Gameplay Trailer of Mirror's Edge from EA developer DICE. It shows off the acrobatics of the lead character, Faith, who is a runner for criminal organizations. The basis of the story is she is trying to free her sister who is imprisoned by the totalitarian government that is pursuing her during her exploits. Routes are easily spotted by the color red, yet there isn't always one route you can take to get to your destiniation. Also the game allows you to defend yourself in a variety of ways, as you can utilize weapons taken from your attackers, or never use a weapon and find other means of defeating anyone in your way. Sony Gaming News
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 09:16 PM ]
Butt Loads Of Updates Out Of Playstation Day   Because I couldn't afford to go international and to the Playstation Day in London, I'm relying on one of my favorite news sites to hook up the cut. So there will be quite a bit here seeing as it all goes under the same news area. No point in doing a plethora of news posts when they can all be placed here. Enjoy Killzone 2 Dated for 2009 So not too much on this game, but the release date has been given for it. Well more a release month than anything. Read More…

Portal Is Still Alive...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 04:28 PM ]
More Maps For Portal This was a triumph... I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS! Ok enough of that. But you really can't deny the fact that the game was a huge thing. It spawned all kinds of other media based off of just this little mod to Half Life. And it just keeps coming out. This time in more maps based from the 2D Flash version of the game. This is a 40 map pack and features a new "test subject" for these said levels. Yes you read it. Read More…

May 5, 1992: Wolfenstein 3-D Shoots the First-Person Shooter Into Fame
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 01:56 PM ]
1992: Id Software releases Wolfenstein 3-D, and it launches a huge computer-game category.  Wolfenstein 3-D may not have been the very first "first-person shooter," as the genre came to be known, but it was by far the most successful. What fond memories of Wolfenstein 3-D.  To be that young again and PWNED.com wishes you a Happy 3-D Day!   Players in the game assume the role of an American commando battling Nazis and their supernatural servants. New TF2 achievements - Fair or Foe?
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Monday, 5th of May 2008 - 11:12 PM ]
With the upgrades to Medic and the introduction to the new achievement system in TF2 - The Medic has been the first class to receive the honor of earning achievements and upgrades. However, have the developers given the medic too much power? If you've been playing some TF2 lately, odds are you've noticed an increase in the amount of medics playing, players uber-charged and people just not dying. Although the new upgrades have helped to turn the game play up a notch - I've began to notice that like with many games, players have found a loop hole in the system and it seems practically impossibly to kill a freaking medic!  Double Uber - when two medic uber-charge themselves - is by far one of the most frustrating things I've come to witness. Metroid: Zero Mission
by [ Sunday, 4th of May 2008 - 12:52 AM ]
My review and opinions on Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA. Because I still play teh old games.       So there I sat, in my Super Mario pajama pants and my Lrn2play T-shirt, having beaten the final boss in Metroid: Zero Mission and hurdled the last two space pirates to jump into a small ship and narrowly escape the self destructing Mothership... thereby beating the game. I allowed the credits to roll, only to discover I had found only 56% of the items in the game, and it took 4 and a half hours for me to beat (it's a hard game... Read More…

Bo Jackson Not Included In New Tecmo Bowl Game
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 3rd of May 2008 - 01:33 PM ]
While we knew when Tecmo decided to announce Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for the DS, they couldn't use the NFL license for teams and players thanks to EA holding the exclusive rights.  But when fans petitioned for everyone's either favorite or most despised player in Tecmo Bowl history, Bo Jackson, Tecmo came out stating he will not appear in the game, nor any retired players for that matter.  Anyone who played Tecmo Super Bowl knows that Bo Jackson became the game's standout icon as he was virtually unstoppable, and everyone remembers the fights over who would play as (Does best Chris Berman Interpretation) DA RAIDAHZ!!  Sorry Bo fans, you're stuck finding an old copy of Tecmo Super Bowl to get your "Bo Knows" fix.
