Looks Like Mortal Kombat X Will Let Us Kill The Tax Season Blues
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. Wait a second… Goro isn't an announced character for Mortal Kombat X is what I am sure you were thinking if you didn't look up and see the image or embedded tweet below. Read More...

Let's Go Live With Destiny In The Latest Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new live action trailer for Destiny has been released showing off how the game should feel when playing with friends I made the comment earlier that people have been losing their excitement for Destiny as the game's launch date looms even closer. I also claimed that something needed to be done to get the excitement back even after the Planet View site cropped up. Well it would seem that my complaints and wishes were answered as we have a new live action trailer for Destiny now and it does nothing but show off why we should be excited for the game. Even though it is mainly focused on the multiplayer aspect of the game's world. Read More...

Time To Get Our Assassin On With Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows off the assassin gameplay as well as hints to a release date Up until now Styx: Master Of Shadows has been shown off as a stealth and Thief-like title but now it looks like there is a bit of Assassin's Creed brought into the mix with the latest gameplay trailer. This is a little bit of a shock to me as up until now it has been shown that Styx cannot handle multiple enemies and needs to stick to tricks and sneak attacks. I'll take it none the less as this looks to add yet another manner of gameplay to Styx: Master Of Shadows for all those out there who don't have the patience to take things slow and stealthy. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
All of the basics of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer are explained in the most recent trailer released from Sledgehammer and Activision Last month Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer was shown off to the public during the Gamescom event. Everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about what was shown even though it was only the tip of the iceberg, so to say. Obviously be who we all are we want to see more of the gameplay, modes, customization, and kills coming in the next Call Of Duty. The next bit of wait time is over now as we have a nice long look at the multiplayer just a bit lower down the page. Read More...

Don't fret if you are one of those completionist types who need to know all the little tidbits though. See How Natural The Movement Of Dying Light Truly Is
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Dying Light has been released to lead into PAX Prime with and to show off the freedom of movement that the game allows for It's that time again to dig into the mechanics of another title and this time it is Dying Light's free movement and how it has evolved from the original design. Like for instance the fact that it was going to be simulated free movement at the beginning until the level design was too bogged down and still didn't feel fully free. I bet you didn't unless you jumped down to the Dying Light dev. Read More...

Let Us Speculate On The Possible Saints Row Tease From Deep Silver
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
UPDATE It looks like Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell is what was announced during the PAX Panel. Announced at our #PAX panel: standalone expansion Saints Row: Gat out of Hell! For PC, 360, XB1, PS3, and PS4. Play as Johnny Gat or Kinzie!— Saints Row (@SaintsRow) August 29, 2014 Original Story In the early hours of the day Deep Silver's UK Twitter handle posted an image to tease what Volition is working on. Rumors point to a new Saints Row If you are on GMT time, a night owl on PST, or just got up early today then you most likely saw the latest tease from Deep Silver that some are pointing to a new Saints Row announcement. This seems logical given the fact that if you are reading this at 10am PST then you are missing out on the Volition panel at PAX Prime. Read More...

Night Trap Is Getting ReVamped… As Long As We All Help
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The creators of Night Trap are looking to bring us all the game for a new generation via Kickstarter campaign Some of you may not be old enough to remember Night Trap or the Sega CD for that matter. Hells, I wasn't even enough years into my life cycle at the time to play Night Trap by the ESRB standards now when I first dove into the game back in 1992. I guess that is a point in the corner for the game helping spawn the ratings board due to the fact that back then "all video games were for kids." At least that was the mentality and it was truthfully a key factor in my want to get into the gaming industry. Read More...

Become An Agent Of The Inquisition With The Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Multiplayer is now a feature in Dragon Age: Inquisition and we have a new trailer to show off how BioWare and EA are implementing it into the game Yea, you read that right; Dragon Age: Inquisition is getting multiplayer mixed into the game. To be honest I am surprised that it took this long to get a multiplayer option into the franchise as it seems like it would be a decent fit. At least that is how I saw it back in the Origins day as the game played a lot like other titles that had a good multiplayer mixed in for the genre. I guess BioWare and EA wanted to make sure the franchise felt different and are just no getting around to adding in a touch of multiplayer. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season 2 has come to a close and it is time to let you all know what I thought about the latest episode and the whole season That is a wrap on season two of The Walking Dead from Telltale. Episode five has been released and there is No Going Back now. See what I did there? I was lucky enough to be able to sit down and play through the final episode and give it the old gamer review. I'll try to keep things as spoiler free as possible but in the mix I will warn that there are a few spoilers I feel I had to touch upon as they were either things I loved or hated about the conclusion here. Also, I am trying something new for this review. Read More...

The Release Date For Escape Dead Island Has Been Unraveled
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Escape Dead Island has been released from Fatshark and Deep Silver with a release date mixed in It's only been a few days now since we brought you a few new looks at Escape Dead Island. We pondered on the release date for the game and now it looks like we will all be getting to Escape Dead Island on our PS3, Xbox 360, or PC on November 18th. A little late for Halloween but that most likely means that Fatshark wasn't being rushed to meet the horror month deadline for their new take on the Dead Island franchise. Not that we won't be plagued with Zombies and Aliens already during that time. Read More...
