The countdown is over and Mortal Kombat X has been officially announced with a trailer and a few bits on gameplay After weeks of teasing and many "leaks" it looks like we got what was "promised" as Mortal Kombat X has now been fully announced. It even has a nice pre-rendered trailer to go along with it. At least it is assumed to be pre-rendered but the fact that it looks to be using the Unreal Engine 4 as a base and planned for the PS4, XB1, and PC as well as the "last gen" consoles, it might not be out of the realm of possibilities for it to be real time footage. Remedy Entertainment has given us a tease for Quantum Break with nothing more coming until Gamescom in August So everyone seems to be announcing everything just before E3 or, in the case of Quantum Break, telling us that there will be nothing new until a later date. In the case of Quantum Break that would happen to be Gamescom in August this year. Not too far off but for us State-side that means that most of us will have to be remote to see what Remedy has up their sleeves for us for the game. UPDATE: Well it looks like a new Mortal Kombat is now mostly confirmed as Ed Boon has posted the following on his Twitter account after updating the look and icons to match the poster. Bethesda and BattleCry Studios have just announced the studio's first title Battlecry in wonderful CG trailer form. Some of you may have heard of BattleCry Studios being founded back in 2012. Some of you, maybe not. None the less after two years of being in service it looks like we are getting a look at the developer's first title that just also happens to share the company's name; Battlecry. Not many points on being creative in naming either the title or the company but at least most of us will never forget one or the other. There are now four new characters for Evolve but the same four classes. Just in case you thought the first set of hunters for Evolve were boring, Turtle Rock has brought us four new characters for the game. One for each class with their own new personalities and different abilities, skills, and weapons in the game. A new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight has been released showing off a bit of everything in the game. Including a view of the Scarecrow. Finally we have a bit of gameplay for Batman: Arkham Knight and it does more than just show off Batman kicking ass in the same form we have had throughout the Arkham franchise. Halo 5: Guardians has been officially announced now by 343 Studios for the Xbox One next year. While the new installment of the Halo franchise was teased during the huge Microsoft event last year at E3, just weeks before this year's E3 we get the announcement and release window for Halo 5: Guardians. Good news for all of you Halo fans I am sure although I keep hearing the outcry for a Halo 2: Anniversary to be released on the XB1. Microsoft has just announced a new Xbox One bundle that removes the Kinect and lowers the price greatly. Finally after months of the not-so-die-hard Xbox fans complaining about having to purchase the Kinect in their Xbox One bundle, it is being removed. That's right. Starting June 9th there will be an Xbox One bundle that doesn't have the Kinect packaged in which will bring the overall price down to match that of the launch day PS4. That would be $399 plus tax here in the states. Of course the option to purchase a Kinect to "upgrade" to the "best experience ever" will still be an option just no longer required. Read More...

Dying Light has been pushed back a few months now to better improve core aspects of the game. I could have sworn that Dying Light looked to be nearing the end of its development road. Even back when I first saw the demo at E3 last year the game seriously looked like it could have made an October 2013 release date if Techland and Warner Bros. truly pushed. A new gameplay trailer and screen shots for Insomniac's Sunset Overdrive have been released for our viewing pleasure. We have yet to see much more than a CG trailer for the Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive. This is the latest title coming from the once mainly PlayStation exclusive developer Insomniac Games. Driveclub has been pushed back once again but now there is a solid date of October 7th. Yes, that means that Driveclub won't be coming to the PS4 here in early 2014 as stated before. Apparently the game just will not be ready until about the first anniversary of the next gen console's launch. Now the date is October 7th if you sit through and watch the gorgeous trailer that was released showing the new date in all of its kind of glory. Good news for all of you race fans or those who want to see how pretty a racing game can be on next gen. A new game trailer for Mad Max has been released showing off the amazing vehicle of the game; the Magnum Opus. One could have had a baby in the time it has been since we last got a video look at Mad Max from Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. That isn't too much of an exaggeration either. In fact it had been so long that recently I began to question if Mad Max was still being worked on or if it had been canned quietly so as not to have everyone asking 'Why?'. A new trailer/gameplay video for Evolve has been released and it lets you choose the character you watch in the match. That latest trailer for Evolve is completely the way that multiplayer titles should do it. As you have most likely not jumped to the following trailer yet, let me explain. Turtle Rock and 2K have put together a nice nine minute game session for Evolve showing off some of the game's mechanics as well as abilities employed by each of the five different playable characters. The best part is you can hop between each of them to see what they see while running around trying to kill the Goliath or trying to survive and kill the players. As of writing this I have yet to see the match through each character's eyes but I have watched the commentated version of the Evolve match and I can be colored impressed for this multiplayer titles.
