This Week In Video Games 7/10/17 — 7/14/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the bag yet again. All with another all over the place kind of feel to it, but at least we were not all just sitting around wondering what is going on with a lot of our games and twiddling our thumbs. Not that we wouldn't have been out there playing with Sub Zero in Injustice 2 or getting ready for the next Mafia 3 expansion. Even if those where not on your list of video games to play, there is all kind of things to get ready for as we head toward SDCC and have many things for Call Of Duty: WWII to look for as well as Shadow Of War to prep for. Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's Voice Cast Is Here & Ready For SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War It's time to hear who will be joining you on Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's quest, aurally, & then maybe meet the Shadow Of War VO cast at SDCC We can mark this under the "Not A Huge Surprise" list, but Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War will be at SDCC this year and in tow will also be the voice cast for the game that has recently been announced. Of course some of the people from Monolith Productions will also be there to talk about the game, but given the way SDCC is, it will be more about the big names linked to the game and seeing them. Shadow Of War does seem to be pulling in some of the usual folk but also some other big names from the general acting pool as well. Read More...

Call Of Duty: WWII & Destiny 2 Are Hitting SDCC Hard
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty Activision is bringing Call Of Duty: WWII, Crash Bandicoot, & Destiny 2 to SDCC with Call Of Duty: WWII Zombies getting shown off We are a week out from SDCC this year and as usual Activision is bringing a whole slew of things to show off with Call Of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 being on the bill for this year's geekfeast. It makes perfect sense as they have done this almost every year for quite some time even when there are only small announcements and expansions for other games and then the buildup for their big money maker of the year. I guess that is why there is going to be a big announcement for Call Of Duty: WWII out there as the new Nazi Zombie mode is going to be the highlight of it all. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/3/17 — 7/7/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That ends another week in video games out here and even with the slowdown due to the American holiday, it was still a pretty decent one out there. Not overflowing with news and updates, but still just enough out there to keep things flowing. I mean it was more about the updates for Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow Of Mordor, but other video games like Assassin’s Creed Origins had quite a bit of highlight and we learned about the physical version of LawBreakers that hopefully you picked up on the PC or are waiting for the PS4 version to open up. Like I said, not too heavy and not too light at the end of the week. Read More...

City Of Brass Is Going To Challenge Your Thieving Skills
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
City Of Brass A new title, City Of Brass, has just been given an announcement and it looks like City Of Brass will challenge all of our skills If you've been aching for a new video game that takes place in an Arabian setting then be glad to hear that City Of Brass is coming at us now on the PC sometime this year and then the PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2018. You may not have heard of the game much before now as Uppercut Games has just released a cinematic trailer and a bit of a gameplay trailer for everyone. Of course, none of that truly tells us what is going on for City Of Brass but thankfully we all of those details as well so we can know it is more than just a stabbing/whipping game set in the Arabian Nights setting. See Just How Assassin’s Creed Origins Will Actually Play For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed A new chunk of Assassin’s Creed Origins gameplay has made its way online and shows us just how Assassin’s Creed Origins will play in our hands If there is one thing that Ubisoft does well it is showing off a lot of the best ways to play their games like they did with Assassin’s Creed Origins. It makes sense that they want to make sure we all see how the game should play out when we pick it up on October 27th, but a lot of the times it is not the same experience that we all have. Not due to any doctoring up of the footage or changing the resolutions that we will never see at home for Assassin’s Creed Origins. Read More...

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War Will Feature Your Greatest Nemesis From Shadow Of Mordor
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War A new update for Shadow Of Mordor has released that will carry over Nemesis & Followers to Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War If you had planned on getting to start completely new for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, then you were right to think that as before now it didn't seem like there was going to be much of a bridge besides story for this title and Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor. For most gamers this is still an option, but for those who had some great nemesis and followers from the first game it looks like Monolith Productions is going to give us the option to carry over the best of each when we spin up the new game on October 10th. Yea, you will be able to start Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War off with your best follower from before at your side fighting the good fight, while needing to be on the lookout for your greatest nemesis whom may be trying to end out their story arc. Some Magnum Sized Gameplay Is Coming With Agents Of Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem Another gameplay trailer for Agents Of Mayhem is here and as the other trailers for Agents Of Mayhem, this one rips on another '80s icon Get ready for more of that nostalgia to get tickled here as we have another gameplay trailer for Agents Of Mayhem and just like others in the past, it is all in the theme of another '80s TV franchise to tug at you. Even though the game isn't set in that time-frame, from what I can tell, it sure does seem like Deep Silver wants to keep pumping out those trailers in that manner. Maybe I am not on the 'hip' side of things anymore, but growing up in the '80s it is going to take a lot more than this to sell me on Agents Of Mayhem. Read More...

Assassin’s Creed Origins Gets A Bit More Insight For Size & Modern Day Component
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed A new interview for Assassin’s Creed Origins has popped up where questions & concerns for Assassin’s Creed Origins from E3 are being addressed It looks like Assassin’s Creed Origins is back in the headlines again and thankfully not for any major game delay or negative news out there, you can lose any worry you had, but with news on some of the aspects of the game that have only been slightly brushed on so far. As it turns out, with no surprise, there was a lot of information for the game that Ubisoft had not disclosed with the fans during E3 and of course they all wanted to know. I'm going to err on the side of demand, but none the less the game director for Assassin’s Creed Origins opted to sit down and go over some of them with Game Informer just recently. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/26/17 — 6/30/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of June 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week done and one more week of video games in the bag and ready for us to move on to the next one. It is obvious that we are still all recovering from the madness that was E3 only a few weeks ago, but that didn't stop the flow of things at all. We had a lot of DLC and updates out there for Final Fantasy XV and Call Of Duty out there and the launch of a few other video games this week like Secret World Legends. That is also if we seem to have forgotten that Nintendo broke the minds of gamers out there by announcing the SNES Classic Edition to come to us all in only a few months from now. Read More...

Absolution Is Coming To Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The third DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be hitting the PS4 next week with all the usual Call Of Duty goodies mixed right in Not get all of the Call Of Duty titles all mixed up here, but the third major DLC for Infinite Warfare is about to drop on the PS4 so it is time to take note and not confuse this with any future DLC. None of that makes sense to me either. The takeaway here is that the most recent Call Of Duty title that Infinity Ward made for us last year will be getting its third major DLC drop as part of the Season Pass so get ready to dive into that and forget about the WWII one that Activision is also pushing at the same time. There Is Much More To The Look Of God Of War Than We Once Knew
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War New screenshots for God Of War are out there as well as a fun look at how the new looks for God Of War came about from the previous titles With only two trailers for God Of War being out there currently, the game has already looked to take an interesting turn for the franchise and the character involved. Given the drastic nature of the shift, and the way all those internet fans are, it is no surprise that Santa Monica Studio has been harped on for having a different type of Kratos in the game. I know a lot of people saw the woodsman beard in the first God Of War trailer and gameplay we had and though he was going to be even more grizzled after the ending of the third main game.
