Death Stranding Adds Another Voice To The List With Little Else To Go On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of September 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Death Stranding Another confusing trailer for Death Stranding is here from TGS and it looks like Troy Baker will have his voice in Death Stranding to destroy us In no huge surprise, Death Stranding had a small showing out at TGS and it also brought with us a listen to Troy Baker as he is now part of the project. Not the biggest of shocks that Kojima Productions would add his voice in given how many games he is in for VO and the connection with Sony for their other PS4 titles. It was only a matter of time, but what is interesting here is that it seems to be his voice only for Death Stranding so far and not the full body renders we have seen for the rest of the cast in the game. Death Stranding’s Cast Is Expanded & We Finally Get Some Gameplay Out Of E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Death Stranding There was more to see for Death Stranding out of E3 and it shows some new gameplay while keeping us all confused about what Death Stranding actually is Another of the titles we knew were going to be a focus for E3 this year was Death Stranding and many out there were hoping to get a better understanding of what the game is actually going to be about. That is besides being another weird adventure Kojima Productions is going to take us on and house a whole lot of famous actors and directors in the game. Star power can only go so far and even with adding the heroines of Death Stranding in the latest trailer, Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner, we still have a lot we are waiting to get fully defined for the game. Beat Saber Is Now Heading To The PlayStation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Beat Saber It has now been announced that Beat Saber will be making the leap to consoles with Beat Saber launching on the PSVR platform now It is now official that Beat Saber will be heading over to the PS4 to be played on the PSVR at some point. The announcement that Hyperbolic Magnetism will be bringing the game to the platform came out as part of the PrE3 announcements that were coming to the PlayStation. It was also kind of a given that Beat Saber would be heading over as it was originally listed as "coming to consoles" back when we first heard the announcement, but now it is official. At least as official as it can be given that it is still in an Early Access stage for the Oculus and Vive versions for the game that released a little over a month ago. Read More...

Deathgarden Is Bringing Us Another Dystopian Blood Sport Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Deathgarden We have another asymmetrical action title, Deathgarden, on its way as Deathgarden is given the full announcement and gameplay to be available at PAX East As if the world was not already grim enough, we have another sad look at the future with Deathgarden getting a full announcement and looking to bring more asymmetrical action to our PCs. That all sounded pretty grim there for the game, so let me be clear that I am talking about the new game Behaviour is working on that is placing us in the role of someone in a grim future. A grim future that we can experience from our seats and have a good time with. Read More...

Beat Saber Will Have You Slashing & Grooving In VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of January 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Beat Saber A new rhythm VR title, Beat Saber, has more to show off and it looks like Beat Saber is going to be mix of some other great titles all rolled into one If you were sitting around hoping that someone would combine Guitar Hero, Fruit Ninja, and an iconic weapon from a huge Sci-Fi franchise, then you are in luck as it looks like Beat Saber will answer that hope. It may sound like a lot to take in there, but this is a new VR title that Hyperbolic Magnetism is working on for the Oculus, Vive, and PS VR systems that will give you a blend of all of that. The rhythm of GH, the slashiness of Fruit Ninja, and all with lightsabers of sorts to keep the custom music flowing and your beat bouncing in tune. Read More...

The Obligatory 2017 Video Games Year In Review List
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of December 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Video Games There were a lot of video games that came out in 2017 and we tried to review as many video games as we could. Here's a recap of them all The year is finally over and there were a lot of great video games that came out. There were also a lot of shitty ones in the mix as well. Just like every year, there were all over the place and we had a chance to give a good chunk of them all a play and thus a review. Hells, we even had more indie-based video games mixed in to add an extra level of interest here. It, of course, is not a list of all video games that came out this year but it is a list of what we had to experience over here in our little part of the world. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/4/17 — 12/8/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 9th of December 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just when you think you are about done with all of those video games by the end of the year, we get a week like the one we just had. So much happened yet again and we have yet to get into the PSX this weekend. Even The Game Awards had a whole lot of new video games announced and shown off in the mix. Almost more than the announcements of the winners if you ask me. Read More...

Death Stranding Gets Even Stranger With Its Latest Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of December 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Death Stranding Another gameplay trailer for Death Stranding was shown off and it raises many questions with few answers for Death Stranding Just as we have had for the last few outings of The Game Awards, we have another new trailer for Death Stranding to look at here and try to figure out. Things have been very strange and hush since Kojima Productions announced the game so long ago and with each new view, this PS4 title seems to baffle and confuse. At least the trailers do as they make little to no sense, but given who is making Death Stranding I guess it works. Just think back to all of those MGSV trailers and tell me how those made sense when out of context for the core game. Read More...

It Is Almost Time For The Ultimate Target In Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of September 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Dishonored It is time to find out if Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider will actually have you kill Dishonored's favorite morally ambiguous character, The Outsider In just a few days we will all be treated to Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This is the expansion coming from Arkane Studios for the franchise that will be building off the story of Billie Lurk and Daud and their new goal to kill the Outsider. I guess the title of the game kind of states all of that, but given that this is another Dishonored title, the killing of the Outsider is just an option we can take. At least that is the takeaway from the recent interview clip that Bethesda has just released as we all wait for September 15th to come around. Read More...

Nightmare Creatures Is Getting Revived From Its 20-Year Hiatus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of September 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Nightmare Creatures Classic horror title, Nightmare Creatures, is getting rebooted, revamped, or just brought back as a new Nightmare Creatures has been announced It is hard to believe that it has been twenty years since Nightmare Creatures first graced us with its presence and tried to put the fear in us with the limited power of the hardware at the time. Now we get to flash forward to now and it looks like Albino Moose Games is looking to bring the game back to us with a new version. Some say it is a reboot. Read More...

Let's Do The Impossible & Kill A God In Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Dishonored The first gameplay trailer for Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider is here and we get to see how we are tackling this new Dishonored standalone DLC During the big E3 event from Bethesda we heard that we were getting Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider to continue on the story as we all wanted. There isn't much more of a wait as we can see it on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC on September 15th but it would be nice to see what Arkane Studios has crafted so far to get us all hyped up for it. Gameplay for an upcoming title, or expansion, or DLC (or whatever this can be considered for the Dishonored universe as it is a standalone thing but not a full game), is always welcome to help us get a feel for it all and that is what we have here today. Ancestors Will Place Us In The Heat Of Medieval Battles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new in-engine video for Ancestors has been released to show us just how the Ancestors RTS feel will go between god and unit It's going to sound odd talking about Ancestors here knowing that there are two titles coming out with that as the main title for the game. The version we are going to talk about here though is the RTS title coming from 1C and Destructive Creations for the Xbox One and PC and not the weird ancient history simulator that we've heard a little about before. This version of Ancestors will be taking us through history, but all in the vein of murdering each other in glorious battle between four different nations. All based on historically accurate battles and wars that have taken place between the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans, Slavs. Read More...

Total War: Warhammer II Shows Off A New Race & In-Game Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Total War Not long ago it was announced that Total War: Warhammer II was coming and now we have a look at some in-game footage for Total War: Warhammer II with a new race of lizardmen Back in March we all caught wind of Total War: Warhammer II coming to our PCs sometime in 2017 but it was all done in a cinematic trailer that didn't do much but show us that the game was coming and to expect more. No slight to Creative Assembly for what they gave us, but I know I am not a fan of just cinematic trailers and then nothing to go one from there. Sure we found out that there would be elves in Total War: Warhammer II but I prefer gameplay and something more akin to what we will be getting in a final build. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/1/17 — 5/5/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of May 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was one of the more exciting weeks for video games that we've had in quite some time now wasn't it? I know it was for me as we had a whole lot get shown off this week and we also had Darksiders III get an official announcement out there. We also had a lot more hype for Friday The 13th: The Game and a look at the full roster for Injustice 2 and some of the new DLC that will be coming for it. All of that and a few reviews for a few video games that have made a whole lot of page space on the site here over the last few months and years. Read More...

Space Hulk: Deathwing Is Getting An Enhanced Edition For Consoles In Q4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Space Hulk While Space Hulk: Deathwing may have released on PCs already, the wait for the console version of Space Hulk: Deathwing continues but will be getting big enhancements Since Space Hulk: Deathwing launched near the end of last year on the PC it has been met with a few mixed reviews but still seems to be holding strong with the core fans of the universe. Something I am going to guess is to the pleasure of Streum On Studio as they are still working on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game so that even more fans can have access to it. I was under the assumption a while ago that Space Hulk: Deathwing was going to hit all platforms at the same time and was a bit let down that it missed the mark. Read More...
