Hyperkin Competitor Got A Bit Of An Update Out At CES 2025
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of January 2025 - 06:00 PM ]
Hyperkin Hyperkin has a new controller on the way with a look at the updated Hyperkin Competitor controller While gaming is not usually a huge focus out at CES, this year Hyperkin came on out there to show off the new Hyperkin Competitor as it is licensed by Xbox. Normally, it is not a huge thing and one would expect it to just be something that has the branding of the company on another company's product. That is only slightly the case with this one as the Hyperkin Competitor is taking the form of another competitor's product to give many gamers a layout and experience that was only able through third-party and other backdoor ways out there. The biggest bit being that it is an Xbox Series X|S style controller but without the split stick design. Read More...

Carmen Sandiego Heads Out Into The World Very Soon On Many Platforms
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of January 2025 - 06:00 PM ]
Carmen Sandiego The release dates for Carmen Sandiego are now set down for us so we can head back into the hunt for Carmen Sandiego again It was announced not too long ago that we would be seeing another Carmen Sandiego title back in the mix of things on the PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, PC, and various mobile devices via Netflix Games. There was a bit of a mixed reception at the time, but that did not stop Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions from pushing forward and building the game out further for us all to get excited about. It is a return to form with the thief in the world and I, for one, was excited to see how it will be us playing as Carmen Sandiego in the game and not specifically hunting her down again. This Week In Video Games 12/23/24 — 12/27/24
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 28th of December 2024 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week As we though, this has been a rather short and slow week for all of our video games out there. We still had a few fun and new announcements, but a good portion of it all was catching up on things like the Ōkami sequel that is on the way, a look at the next thing for Dying Light, new modes for Hollowbody, and getting Think As Thieves out there in the mix. Not a week full of video games, sure, but one that had a whole lot for us to look at even with all of the holidays that have been going down. If only there was a good way to keep things going and the lights on better without needing to do all of the hard work when we should be having some happy times. Read More...

That is still slated for 2025, but as mentioned, we can get a small slice of the game right now to see just what kind of adventure Ayasa will be taking us all along. In a new platformer that looks to be set in a very different post-apocalyptic world with even more weirdness going on than the usual setting for it all. Read More...

Onimusha: Way Of The Sword Is On The Way After So Much Waiting
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of December 2024 - 10:00 PM ]
Onimusha A new Onimusha title is on the way after a very long wait with the announcement for Onimusha: Way Of The Sword It only took a bit of time, but it seems like Capcom is ready to bring back yet another title from the past and not in a remaster or remake style with the announcement for Onimusha: Way Of The Sword. It seems to be all the rage for them and I am sure that fans of the action series will be glad to finally have a fully new entry into the IP. That and to head back into feudal Japan with the fantasy that it all can bring us on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...

Ōkami A sequel to Ōkami has finally been announced and those Ōkami fans only had to wait about twenty years for it all It looks like we only had to wait about twenty years to finally get a Ōkami sequel in our lives. Well, at least to get the announcement that we are going to finally get a sequel to the game from Capcom out here. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of December 2024 - 08:00 PM ]
Dying Light A new look at Dying Light: The Beast is here and it gives us a look at the new villain we will face in the Dying Light universe It is time to meet the big villain we are going to have to face down in Dying Light: The Beast. All so Kyle and score a win for the greater good out there in the universe and so Techland can keep the fun of the IP flowing out there just a bit more. Especially as this almost was not going to be a title that we might have seen in the Dying Light mix due to the gaming community. Just like the infected in the game, though, it looks like it cannot be kept down. Read More...
