Mandalor And His Merry Men
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 05:28 PM ]
Star Wars The Old Republic - Mandalorians Looks like Lucas Arts and BioWare are starting the campaign to get us all amped for The Old Republic. As they have just placed out a video clip telling the background of the Mandalorians, via a Jedi Star Log and animatics. Telling of their rise and fall and what has become of them currently, also kind of why they have become the bounty hunters that we all know and love from the Star Wars Universe. I have a feeling that we will have more of these in the coming weeks, and most likely covering everything else you can play or kill in The Old Republic. We'll keep you up to date as we get these videos in. Read More...

E3 Impression: Gametrak Freedom and Squeeballs Party
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 18th of June 2009 - 04:50 PM ]
Performance Designed Product (a.k.a PDP) first announced the wand like controller, called the Gametrak Freedom, sometime last September for the Xbox 360 and everyone was waiting to see how this motion controller would be different from all the other motion controllers. After seeing it in action at E3, it certainly is. Not only did they show me the Gametrak Freedom controller, but they are also bundling the controller with a game called Squeeball. I know what you guys are asking right now, “Well what’s the point with Project Natal coming out? Read More...

E3 Hands-On Impressions of Brütal Legend
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of June 2009 - 04:03 AM ]
Brütal Legend While Activision tries to file a lawsuit against EA over this property, we who got to go to E3 where also bombarded with this game at the major booths much like Batman Arkham Asylum. Only there was no booth all to itself for this one. Also there was no Jack Black on site pimping the game like he did at the Brütal Legend infomercial pretending to be the Video Game Awards. That all aside, I waded through the line to get my dirty and sinful little hands on this title to give it a good go before the Demo comes out. Granted, it was only my hands and eyes that got to sample any of this game. Read More...

An inFAMOUS DATE
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of April 2009 - 08:25 PM ]
inFamous Not Releasing This June, After All We're all use to it by now. A new game is coming out. A date is chosen for launch. When there is little over a month or two before the launch, the date get's changed and we all should have thought so in the first place. At least that is generally the case. And it is kind of the case here with Sucker Punch's date for inFAMOUS. Only we won't be sad at all about the date, unless they could have used the extra time to polish things up. Read More...

Ratchet and Clank Return to PS3
by Jesse [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 10:58 PM ]
“The Quest Continues in Fall 2009…” This was the phrase that teased a coming sequel following the end of Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty. Today we know exactly what those words mean. Okay so maybe we don’t know exactly, but at least there’s a title. Insomniac Games unveiled the logo for their upcoming R&C title Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Though there aren’t any details at this time, I’d say it’s safe to assume we’ll see A Crack in Time tie in with the previous two R&C games. One interesting point though is that the title logo looks to be cut from a larger image. Read More...

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ Game Trailer Now that we have all had a chance to perfect Guitar Hero or Rock Band, here starts the next new wave of at home rhythm games to get us all itching to be the best. Also to hit that market that has yet to be tapped, those people that prefer rap and hip hop over rock and metal. Or just hook us weirdoes up with all genres, 'cause that is just how some of us elite rhythm gamers roll. And keep rollin' rollin' rollin'. Read More...

We Have A Date To Be inFAMOUS
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2009 - 09:32 PM ]
inFamous Date, Demo, and Art revealed There has been some talk about how this game will end up being. Given the video we've seen for the game as well as the short trailer for it. But as soon as June, I'm guessing just after E3, we will all get to give it a good ol' college try. Be it in Demo form or in actual game form. At least this is according to the official PlayStation Blog. So we have to know it is at least a pretty solid time frame for release. Read More...

Rare Japanese Famicom (NES) Cart Sells For Over $4,000
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 1st of December 2008 - 09:09 PM ]
Over in Japan, a super rare Famicom (NES) title has sold at auction for over ¥401,010, which converts to roughly $4,250. The title of said game is Kikenbutsu no Yasashii Butsuri to Kagaku, or “The Tender Physics & Science of Explosive Materials”. While it sounds like it could possibly be of eroge nature, it sadly is not. It was used in training for employees of Idemitsu Kosan Ltd.and developed by well known publisher Konami. Read More...

Sweet Sweet Touchdown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 03:17 PM ]
No More Heroes 2 - Desperate Struggle Yes, if you read the line above this, you know what is coming. Yes, there is going to be a sequel to the first game. If you have yet to play it, DEFINITELY give it a go. I didn't hop on at first. In fact it took a sweet little innocent ex-roommate of mine to inform me of how cool the game was. Had my reservations at first, but then I felt like kicking myself afterward. Now if only there was more than just this teaser out for it. Read More...

LucasArts and BioWare to Hold Joint Press Conference to Unveil “New Game” on October 21st
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 05:07 AM ]
October 21st, 2008 at 2pm at a location that will be kept secret due to the fact that if it were revealed then all you nerds would go bum-rush it. No, it's 99.9% likely to NOT be an announcement about Full Throttle 2, as nice as it would be, but much much much MUCH more likely to be the widely rumored KOTOR MMO (aka the worst kept secret in the biz). Rumors of the existence of such a game began back last October when "a source close to BioWare" said that the MMO that BioWare was currently working on was going to take place in the KOTOR realm. That same source also said the game was targeted for a 2009 release, which would time up perfectly to this announcement. Read More...

You Are Rock Stars!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of May 2008 - 08:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero Expert Beats Dragonforce Record Score You have no clue how hard it was not to use the line from South Park for the title of this news article. No clue at all. But I figured I would get a bunch of hate PMs or The Hammer dropped or be called a Hater. :) (Search the blogs for the reference there. :) ) So yea, lets get on with this shin dig. Even though I have voiced a preference for Rock Band over Guitar Hero, it does not stop me from giving credit where credit is due. Read More...
