If there is one franchise that feels like it has been milked to death, it would be Tomb Raider. The true definition that sex sells in gaming. So it would be very little surprise that Eidos would look into remaking such a beloved franchise for more money. Ok, so I might have to eat my previous words about the reboot for Tomb Raider. I may have been a bit quick to judge but in my defense that was back before anything real or tangible had been seen. I mean all we had was a rather unimpressive description of the story. Well now we have a good look at the new vision that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix are taking the game. Looks like Lara is no longer raiding tombs, at least in the title form of things. As can be seen in the latest in the Lara Croft stories, Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light. Which is much better than other titles it could have been like Lara Croft And The Space Aliens That Crashed And Died On Earth And She Has To Take Her Son On An Adventure With Monkey. Lara Croft returns in Tomb Raider: Underworld, her final adventure before a huge revamping of the series. So is this a brilliant way to send Lara off before reconstruction of the series or an example of why the series needs change? I am pleased to say that this is the best Tomb Raider title to date.
