Big news in the world of witty cross-over card game simulators. Telltale Games has recently announced that Poker Night at the Inventory is getting a sequel. According to the Telltale's website, “Poker Night 2 is the unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory! In the original game you played poker with a bunch of weirdoes for fame and fortune Team Fortress 2 items and the satisfaction of beating the odds.” The original game had you playing against Max from Sam&Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Tycho from Penny Arcade. With PAX East less than a week away let's get a look at everything going down this coming weekend. Firstly, we have the recently re-announced Saints Row 4 from Volition and their new owners Deep Silver. Nothing about this game aside from the release date and a fluff trailer has been shown. What do you expect from the newest installment of the Saints franchise? Personally I expect the game to be even more insane, with hopefully a deeper customization, as I felt Saints Row III pulled back a bit from we had in Saints Row II. I'll fully admit that when I first saw The Last Of Us back in December of 2011 I was impressed with the visuals but not really the setting or enemies. I believe I harshed on it being another post-apocalypse title trying to cash in on the 'end of the world' scenario that is still kind of all the rage. The reboot of Devil May Cry is not only the best in the series, but breathes new life into the franchise. I personally cannot wait for a DMC 2. I know a lot of you guys cried foul when you saw the new design for Dante, and it's understandable, but at the same time you guys should all calm your damn tits. I thought the old Dante looked too much like a pretty-boy anime character and I really couldn't relate to him all too much. Rockstar has announced the release date for their crime epic Grand Theft Auto V. Unfortunately it's releasing later than originally expected. Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PS3. Originally Rockstar had it slated for sometime in spring. This may come as a disappointment to those looking forward to the game but I rather have them take their time instead of releasing a broken game with a boatload of patches. Up until recently the story of The Last Of Us has been a little bit on the generic "post outbreak apocalypse" side of things. The basics as well. There was a fungus that mutated most of the world into crazed, facial-athletes foot looking, beat-up-the-normies kind of beasts. Then there is Joel and Ellie trying to survive a bit longer while being hunted by both the fungi-people and all the humans who turn to filth because they can. Since the first trailer for The Phantom Pain was shown during the 2012 VGAs, there has been a butt load of internet chatter and "conspiracy theories," if you can use that term here, over if it is linked to the Metal Gear franchise or a new IP from a new studio. Internet sleuthing seems to point more toward the prior over the latter, but what if it is a whole new IP?
