Google's G1 Android Phone...
by Taylor Rose [ Thursday, 16th of October 2008 - 03:44 PM ]
I know many of Pwned.com's members are, like me, big supporters of Google. I've been highly anticipating the Google G1 Android Phone, and it has finally been announced that the phone will be available in stores on October 22, 2008. What is Android, you might ask? Android is a software platform and operating system that Google developed for mobile devices. Based off of the Linux kernel, it also allows developers to code in a Java-esque syntax: however, it does not provide the full-class libraries/APIS that come with the Java SE or Me, but rather implements the Apache Harmony Java.  Regardless of its seemingly limited functionality, Paul Reddick, CEO of Handmark (a developer of mobile media apps and services for the iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and other OSs) thinks Android will "help breed the simple and elegant programs consumers crave". The awesome portable Dreamcast
by Sam [ Thursday, 16th of October 2008 - 03:18 AM ]
A guy by the name of "hailrazer" over at BenHeck.com modded his own portable Dreamcast called the Dreamtrooper. The reason for the name is because it's not only a Dreamcast but it also looks like a Storm Troopers helmet. The Dreamtrooper plays GD-ROMs attached to the back spindle and is said to have about three hours of battery life. Check out the video below of him playing Sonic Adventure 2. Read More...

Portal REALLY Still Alive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 03:29 PM ]
Download Portal: Prelude I mentioned a little while ago about a group of people getting together and doing a prequel to Portal. All original stuff leading up to the first game. Something like 400+ original lines of voice acting and such to that. Well the wait for this is now over. As of yesterday, you are now able to download the first build of these prequel levels to the game. It is a pretty big, well relatively big, download of almost 800 MB through Fileplanet right now, but they are looking for more mirrors for download. So feel free to download and try this extra content and post a review. Read More...

IdolM@ster Makes Jump From 360 To PSP In Japan
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 5th of August 2008 - 12:02 AM ]
Namco Bandai announced last week that their hit game series IdolM@ster will be released for the Sony PSP this winter in Japan, as not 1 title, but 3 seperate titles.  For those not familiar with the IdolM@ster series, the game is a virtual simulator where you create your very own Japanese Music Idol.  You handle their schedule, costumes, song choices, and happiness/stress levels, to create the #1 Idol.  The series has been a huge hit in arcades and one of the biggest hits on the Xbox 360 in Japan. Ikkitousen EF Limited Edition Figure Revealed!
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 20th of June 2008 - 08:12 PM ]
Thanks to a Kotaku story, I found out Marvelous has finally announced and revealed the actual figure to be included in the Ikkitousen EF Limited Edition set for the Sony PSP.  As noted prior, it features the mother-daughter team of Hakafu and Goei.  The figure set is actually a pun referring to "Oyako donburi", which means "parent and child donburi" which is a dish made of Rice, Egg and Chicken.  But as interesting as that is, we all know everyone is more interested in the figure itself.  So here is some images of said figure:       Now we know the OBVIOUS joke of "2 Girls 1 cup" here, but it has already been used a few times over on other sites, so we will leave it be. Ikkitousen: Elequent Fist Flashes Us With A Trailer and New Screenshots
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 12th of June 2008 - 08:06 PM ]
As the title states, Marvelous has released new screenshots and a nice trailer to go along with them of the upcoming PSP game Ikkitousen: EF. EF stands for Eloquent Fist, which is actually a clever twist on words on Ero-quent.  Ero = erotic or in the Japanese video game scene, Eroge.  And Ero-Quent is a very accurate statement in describing this game.  The trailer entitled "Blast Milk Promotional Video", should clue you in to this trailer definitely being NSFW.  And NSFW it is, as in tune with the show is an abundance of bouncing breasts, panty shots and torn up clothes. Ikki Tousen EF Coming to Japanese PSPs This Fall
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 06:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. Portal Is Still Alive...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 04:28 PM ]
More Maps For Portal This was a triumph... I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS! Ok enough of that. But you really can't deny the fact that the game was a huge thing. It spawned all kinds of other media based off of just this little mod to Half Life. And it just keeps coming out. This time in more maps based from the 2D Flash version of the game. This is a 40 map pack and features a new "test subject" for these said levels. Yes you read it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2008 - 06:24 PM ]
Valve: No new Portal this year I'm sure that anyone and everyone has most likely heard of Portal. Yes? No? Well ya did now. But in any instance, there is a little more buzz going around about this game and it's previously announced sequel. What is it? Well the fact that it won't be coming soon. Which could be ok. Why do I say it could be ok, well look at their track record. Read More...

Going #1 on the Wii...
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2008 - 01:45 PM ]
So I normally don't write two articles in an hour, but I just checked my email, and this was featured in my Thinkgeek.com Newsletter... SUPER Pii Pii brothers is a crazy, imported Japanese game for the Wii that requires you to... well... wee!! Complete loads of mini games by attaching your Wii-mote into the support harness provided and AIM AWAY!! Score extra points by tinkling on cats and other fun creates who pop out of the urinals and lose points for getting too much on the floor. Verse your friends in the fun multi-player mode and if the humiliation wasn't enough, just the mere ability to say you own Super Pii Pii Brothers is worth the $34. Read More...

by Alyssa Porter [ Monday, 31st of March 2008 - 10:05 PM ]
Everyone's favorite Portal song, Still Alive, will be available for free tomorrow for Rock Band players. No, this is not a April Fools Day joke. Harmonnix, MTV Games, and Valve have teamed up to make this possible for Xbox 360 and Playstation users. "While the cake may be a lie, the free download of "Still Alive" is confirmed truth," said Greg LoPiccolo, VP of product development at Harmonix. "'Still Alive' is an awesome song that brings together great gaming and great music. We've teamed up with Valve to deliver a free download of "Still Alive" as a "thank you" to our fans for their incredible support. Read More...
