This Week In Video Games 4/12/21 — 4/15/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of April 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week is not fully over for most of the community out there, but we have to call it a short week here. It was a slow week, for the most part, and we had a few video games get the highlight but it did feel like slim pickings up until today with the Resident Evil showcase here. There was a bit more for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Returnal, but there have been more rumors and speculations out there more than anything. Granted, we are calling it early and we could see many video games drop out there late today and tomorrow, but I have a feeling it is going to be quiet for the rest of the week. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week is finally over and it was weirdly a little light on the massive news for the video games out there, but there was still a whole lot out there. Mostly in the good news out there with more to look for with Resident Evil Village and Erica to enjoy. We did get to see video games like Deathloop get a delay too. As I said, it was a little all over the place with news but we do have Oddworld: Soulstorm and Destroy All Humans! Read More...

Forspoken Tease Us With A Little More Of Its Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Forspoken An extended version of the Forspoken announcement is here to give us a few more bits to look at for Forspoken right now Not that long ago we were presented with Forspoken as it shifted from being to Project Athia to this new name and now official game for the PC and PS5. It was a title many of us have been keeping a close eye on and that is still flowing the same way even with the name change. Now we are back with a new look at the same announcement trailer but in an extended form. Why we had to wait two weeks to get this is beyond me, but it has us all talking about Forspoken and my guess is that was the actual reason. Read More...

Of Bird And Cage Shreds Out There This Coming May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Of Bird And Cage Playable Music Album, Of Bird And Cage, has a release date and we will be able to play this downward spiral of story in Of Bird And Cage this coming May We may have let Of Bird And Cage slide under the radar too long over here, as here we are first talking about it and now we have a release date for the title. A title that is slated as a playable album that is loosely based on Beauty & The Beast, all coming from Capricia Productions. Of Bird And Cage looks to be more of the basic affair when it comes to some of the video game stories and visuals we have, but it sounds (pun intended) as if we will be able to see how this story ends by "playing the songs" that go along with the choices. Flesh Is On File In The Latest For Martha Is Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of March 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Martha Is Dead A new trailer for Martha Is Dead is out there and it offers up more of the thrills Martha Is Dead could offer us If you had no clue up to now, photography will play a large role in Martha Is Dead and it seems like it will be a large way we uncover some of the darkness in the game's narrative. I am sure there is going to be a whole lot of that mixed into the game here and now we have one more tease of it all from LKA as to how that will look. Not too surprisingly, just as grim as the rest of the visuals we have seen for Martha Is Dead in the past as we wait for the game to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...

Oddworld New gameplay for Oddworld: Soulstorm is here with the announcement that physical editions for Oddworld: Soulstorm will be coming this Summer The gameplay keeps flowing with the latest for Oddworld: Soulstorm hitting us from the big Future Games Showcase that has gone down. With April 6th not too far off for us to see the game hit the PS4, PS5, and PC, we will certainly need all we can get to see how Oddworld Inhabitants have mixed things up in this new installment to the IP. There have been many changes over the years for Oddworld and it does feel like this one will expand upon it all. Back 4 Blood Is Now Pushed Out Just A Bit Longer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of March 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood A delay has hit Back 4 Blood shortly after the alpha test and now we will see Back 4 Blood launching in October of this year Here we go with another delay, but this one I am not too shocked by with the way that the team has been working with Back 4 Blood. Yes, this is the title that is now delayed a bit more and instead of hitting us in June, it looks like Turtle Rock is aiming for a new October release date for it all. With a nice little beta test to go down during this Summer before Back 4 Blood hits all the platforms out there. All so we can get one of the best games out there for us to experience and enjoy when it does finally come. Read More...

The Mystic Is Bringing A Little Inquisition To Hood: Outlaws & Legends
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of March 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Hood The fourth character for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is out there with the Mystic bringing some of the religion into Hood in general Things are getting a little more magical in Hood: Outlaws & Legends with the showing of the final character class we will have to play in the game. Well, magical is a bit of a misnomer as it does look like Sumo Newcastle is still trying to keep things a bit more grounded and the Mystic is using more of the natural things to explain some of the magic out there. All of which by inhaling incense or tossing out an inhaled poison to mess with all of the minds out there in the matches. Not exactly what I was expecting in Hood but it is a great twist to have here and see play out with this version of Tooke in the universe. Read More...

The Fabled Woods Will Be Offering Up Some Higher-End Visuals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of March 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Fabled Woods Have a look at The Fabled Woods as we get to see how using the NVIDIA enhancements to make The Fabled Woods shine just a bit more This week we get to see The Fabled Woods finally hint our PCs out there and then we can dive deeper into all it has to offer. For those out there that seem to have a bit more power on their side when it comes to their machines, it does look like CyberPunch and Headup are ready to deliver on all of that with a few cool looking features we can activate. More than just the basics of ray-tracing and lighting, but it does look as if The Fabled Woods will be among the first titles out there to utilize some of these new capabilities to enhance how our video games will look and interact in the space. As long as you are still able to get the hardware that is required for all of this. Read More...

Project Athia Is Now Officially Known As Forspoken
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of March 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Forspoken Forspoken is the final name of the title teased a while back and we have a little more to look at to come with this Forspoken name It looks like Project Athia is no more but only because it is now known as Forspoken. The next thing in the big showcase yesterday is here from Luminous Productions to give us just a little more for this PS5 and PC title that is slated to launch in 2022. Something that is a little more than the fact that the game is going to be called Forspoken and a glimpse of the magical world out there that Frey is going to go through. All brought to life by Ella Balinska in the game as well as this latest video we have to experience for it all. Read More...
