Last week we were lucky enough to sit in on the developer call for Iron Man 2: The Videogame. During the call, it was asked about further enemies and heroes to be shown in the game. At first I thought this was a joke. A very clever and well constructed joke. This is one of those instances where I am incredibly pleased to report that this is no joke. The third game in the combo-laden fighting game series, Marvel vs Capcom, is coming to PlayStation 3 and the XBox 360 in 2011. The game, which is already said to feature Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm (and from the looks of the trailer, Ryu, Morrigan, and Chris Redfield), seems to draw an aritstic style closer to the most recent iteration of the Street Fighter series. Some art from a teaser poster also seems to reveal a few other characters. The Civil War saga in the Marvel universe has been one of the best stories to grace comic books in quite some time. It's a great story that is an allegorical commentary in the wake of 9/11 and The Patriot Act. In the storyline, a Superhuman, Nitro, goes nuclear in Stamford, Connecticut, killing hundreds during a reality TV show. A TV show that was like COPS but following the New Warriors.
