Left Alive The release date for Left Alive has been set now and we can look to pick up one of Left Alive’s mechs in a Collector’s Edition There have been a few questions on when or if Left Alive was going to be hitting the Western shores and now we have a final answer. As it turns out, it will be hitting the PS4 and PC via Steam on March 5th. I had little doubt on this as it would have made little sense for Square Enix not to bring it here, but now we have a final date to look for as well as a few other fun bits for Left Alive as well. Left Alive There was more gameplay for Left Alive out of TGS and it gives us a better look at how Left Alive will actually play as well as some cutscenes There was even more to look at for Left Alive out of this year's TGS and a good portion of it has come from a live broadcast that Square Enix held during the event. Sadly, it does not seem to come with a lot of details on what is going on, unless you speak the language, but at least there is a lot more to look at. Left Alive A new trailer for Left Alive is here just before TGS to show us just how war rages on in the world of Left Alive with the protagonists It has been quite a bit of time since we last heard anything about Left Alive and I had almost forgotten all about this new title from Square Enix. Given that the last major update we had for the game was also during TGS last year, it does feel like it fell to the side of things to make way for other titles in their wheelhouse. No matter what is going on over there, we do have a new look at Left Alive to remind us that the game is coming and that we can expect to see it on the PS4 and PC in 2019 at some point. Left Alive No new details for Left Alive are out there, but there are a few new bits of art for Left Alive to go over after TGS Now that TGS is over, I know I was hoping to get to see or hear more for Left Alive as it looked interesting but had very little in way of details to go along with the announcement. The artistic direction that the game looks to have is top notch, but as it seems Square Enix's way as of late, there was not much in terms of how the game will play or even the genre type of gameplay that we will be experiencing directly. It looks easy to assume that we will have some Metal Gear style of play based on the people working on Left Alive and the announcement trailer that was placed out there, but nothing has been set down. Left Alive New title, Left Alive, has been officially announced and it looks like Left Alive aims to take us on a robotic apocalypse in the future…of sorts Unless you have been under a rock for the last few days, then you may have heard that Square Enix was teasing a new title called Left Alive out at TGS. Left 4 Dead 3 We may be shown that Left 4 Dead 3 is coming to us sometime as Left 4 Dead 3 was spotted on an employee's computer in some way If rumors and speculation are true it looks like Left 4 Dead 3 may be on its way here in some time. That time is still up in the air if it is truly being worked on but as it looks an employee has been spotted over at Valve with a directory structure showing files that point to the game being in production. Of course this doesn't dictate that Left 4 Dead 3 is going to be a solid release here in the developer's portfolio but it does kind of lend to it being in the works. The Last Of Us: Left Behind is coming to the PS3 and PS4 as standalone DLC for the core game of The Last Of Us in May So this seems like a little weird bit of news but The Last Of Us: Left Behind DLC will be coming to the PS3 and PS4 as a standalone experience on May 12th. This would be that DLC for The Last Of Us that gave us all a little insight into the background of Ellie and her friend Riley. This would be the bit of story that is only alluded to in the core game as to how we all found out that Ellie is immune to whatever fungus is floating around in the world. The Last Of Us — Left Behind DLC is now out for you to scare your loved ones with. The wait is now over as The Last Of Us Left Behind story DLC is now out for us to play and expand the story of the main game. This part being one of the aspects of the story I am excited to dig into. I am a little torn between this and the Titanfall beta but from the following trailer I think I may have to take a break and give this DLC its proper attention before all the romance stuff required by Hallmark tonight. Hopefully your loved one is a gamer this Valentine's Day as this DLC for The Last Of Us and the beta is sure going to be digging into that time. At least I made this short and sweat for you. At The 17th Annual DICE Awards Last Night (2/6/14) It Looks Like The Last Of Us Cleaned Up Nicely. The Amazing Title Racked Up 10 Awards. Last night (2/6/14) wrapped up the 17th Annual DICE Awards and it looks like there was one clear winner; The Last Of Us from Naughty Dog. It picked up almost every win that it was nominated for to boot on losing out to titles like BioShock Infinite, World Of Tanks, GTAV, and technically The Last Of Us (It had two nominations in one category). In fact those were the only three that The Last Of Us didn't pick up out of the thirteen categories it was nominated for. Check out the new trailer for The Last Of Us Left Behind DLC. It is rife with hints as to what is going on in this story DLC. So last we heard about The Last Of Us DLC was just that it was coming and a short glimpse of what to expect in the Left Behind story add-on. Don't worry yourself with trying to look up any of that information because if you still haven't heard the DLC will be out on February 14th and as for the trailer, you can just watch the first little bit of the following video. A New Story DLC Pack Has Been Announced For The Last Of Us Titled Left Behind. Check Out The Trailer If you have not played The Last Of Us yet or at least made it about half way through I would recommend not reading much more or even watching the clip below as it does link up to one of my favorite parts of Ellie's past. That part being where she talks about how she survived with her friend only to have her friend get infected and forcing Ellie to go solo. It's an exciting time to be a gamer because there is definitely a lot of pivotal stuff going on in our industry right now. Today I want to go on about a reasonably new development of an old concept. Expansion packs have been around since the mid 90's in the PC world. Back when the PC dinosaurs ruled the video game landscape (and just about any game could be played on any computer without a video card that costs more than a PS3), if there was a successful game, a half a year or so later we would see an expansion pack. People who enjoyed a game could purchase more content for around $20 to $30-ish. So Valve announced the first DLC package for L4D2 a while ago and it is finally here to bring us more zombie killin' goodness. The "carrot" that they have been enticing us with is a major "change" to the cast of the L4D universe, and true to word there is one less survivor running around taking all the pills and startling the witch. *Note* I will try to keep this write up spoiler free for those of you who have not had a chance to run through it. I think everyone saw this coming at some point. When you have a game series with such wide appeal as the Left 4 Dead series, the need to push it out to other platforms becomes fairly obvious. Though I suspect that at some point we will see this game make its way to handhelds in some form or another, this announcement deals with Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 shuffling its zombie feet to the Mac OSX through the glory of Steam for the Mac.
