by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 5th of January 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Monster Hunter Another beta for Monster Hunter: World is coming to the PS4 and along with that comes announcements for future updates coming to Monster Hunter: World Good news for those looking to dive into Monster Hunter: World again before it officially launches on January 26th. At least it is good news for those who are going to be playing the game on the PS4 as it looks like Capcom is going to hold another beta just before the launch. Starting on January 18th and until January 22nd, those looking to get a taste of Monster Hunter: World, and help make sure the servers are running well before launch, can dive back in and take on all of the monsters from before as well as Nergigante. It looks to be free just as the last one was, as long as you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber at least. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 2nd of December 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is one more week in video games in the bag and much more to look forward to. Especially with all of those new announcements set up for The Game Awards and PSX next week. Maybe it will be a slow week leading up to it all or maybe it will be solid like this one was. Maybe we will also get more reviews out there like we did for Call Of Duty: WWII as we did here. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown's Progression System Has Been Given More Detail
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of December 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Hunt The progression system for Hunt: Showdown has been detailed out more and the permadeath system of Hunt: Showdown will not be as bad as it could be Another live stream for Hunt: Showdown has gone down and this one was one of the big ones as it delved deeper into the metagame of it all and tackled the player and hunter progression in the game. This also includes a bit more on the semi-permadeath part that Crytek has floated out there since the project shifted into what we have now. They explained a while back that our player level would be something along the lines of a Bloodline in Hunt: Showdown and this is how we could pass specific things along in the game; all while out hunters have their own levels and can be put down completely if you play them in a not-so-smart manner. This Week In Video Games 11/20/17 — 11/24/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 25th of November 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes yet another week in video games here. A bit of an off week, but still a pretty solid one if you were not mixed up in all of the US Thanksgiving stuff or the horrible holiday to consumerism. Although there was a lot to be had in terms of video games for all of that and with Shadow Of War and Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite already out there, you could have seen more reasons to pick them up for a lower price. Or just to finally sit back and give Hellblade or Street Fighter V some more time in between dinner plates. Read More...

That was the focus this time around from Crytek as they already touched on all of the weapons and gear that are currently out there for the game. At least out there in terms of what they have shown off as the PC alpha test is still a bit off and then we have until next year to even see it aiming for the PS4 and Xbox One in any way. Hunt See the weapons of Hunt: Showdown in action and learn how they have all be designed to give Hunt: Showdown a better gameplay setup If you want more weapons and gunplay for Hunt: Showdown, then you will now have it. At least in the build-up to the Alpha release for the game and little teases that Crytek has for us here. Also, a bit more after this as I am sure we are going to be seeing a lot more of these live streams for Hunt: Showdown in due time, but for now this is where we are. A nice long video showing off how some of the weapons we will be hunting with were crafted and also how they are implemented in the game. Read More...

The Hunt Begins This Winter As Hunt: Showdown Goes Into Alpha Testing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Hunt The closed alpha test for Hunt: Showdown has been slated for this Winter and PC gamers will get a chance to help Hunt: Showdown become what we want By now we have seen a whole lot of gameplay for Hunt: Showdown and even with it coming to Early Access on Steam for PC gamers sometime soon, there are a whole lot of us who are just ready to dive in and give the game a good play and see just how it stacks up. At least I know I am ready to do that given all of the teasings that Crytek has given us for the game and now it looks like that is going to happen here soon-ish. I say that as it looks like Hunt: Showdown is getting its very own Closed Alpha test before it goes to Steam and you too can be part of it to help the team build a better game and give us just what we are expecting from it all. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Hunt The dev team for Hunt: Showdown had a lot to show off for the game recently and we now have a good look at where Hunt: Showdown is in development You may have missed it over the weekend, but Crytek had a whole lot of Hunt: Showdown to show off to us in its current form and it was pretty damn amazing. Most of us out there have only had a chance to see the short footage out of E3 for the game and a little bit of gameplay here and there for it. The team took to streaming for a few hours here to give us all a good look and also for a good cause. Read More...

More Details For Hunt: Showdown's Early Access Have Been Released
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of October 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hunt There is still no date on when Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Early Access, but now we know what part of Hunt: Showdown will be accessible Last week we heard that Hunt: Showdown was going to be heading to Early Access as Crytek keeps up the hard work, but outside of that announcement there was nothing else to go on. This of course led to all kinds of extra speculation as to what would be in this version of the game and just what players would get to experience. We even speculated that it would only be about what we have already seen in Hunt: Showdown to date with another beast to hunt down and that being it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of October 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one more week of video games in the bag with so much going on this week alone. Some of it in the news and update arena, but also some of it in the major game releases for this week and the next few that will be coming up quickly. Only a few more days until South Park: The Fractured But Whole is out and that is only if you have had time to hammer through the video games that came out this week. The Evil Within 2 and Shadow Of War were also on that anticipation list for so many gamers out there and then we also have Assassin’s Creed Origins the week after that. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Will Have An Early Access To Get The Hunt Underway Sooner
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hunt It has been announced that Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Steam with an Early Access to help Hunt: Showdown be the game the team wanted to make After the gameplay we had earlier in the week for Hunt: Showdown it would make sense that you are all amped up and ready to jump into the game and get out there taking down these huge hell-beasts. I have wanted to do that since I first saw the game's new version back at E3 when Crytek was showing it off. With no solid release date in sight for Hunt: Showdown on any of the platforms, it only makes the anticipation that much more intense. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Brightens Our Day With Some New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hunt New gameplay for Hunt: Showdown is here and it takes us through a similar play of Hunt: Showdown but with more light and tougher players New gameplay for Hunt: Showdown has been spotted out there and lucky for you we have tracked it down and brought it right to you here. This is not just some rehashing of the same footage we have had since E3 of this year, but a completely new play through with Crytek to show off how the game could look and handle in different hands as well as in different light. Different light in the way that this new look at Hunt: Showdown places the match in the daytime cycle of the dynamic weather the game will have. While it makes it easier to spot your enemies and opponents, it totally makes it a lot easier for them to track you down as well. Read More...

That and just a bit more on how Crytek has gone through the process to make it feel dirty and grimy and also with a bit of the real-world flair to it all. This is all something that we know they can do well already, but it is nice to get to see how they came up with the looks for some of the weapons and traps in Hunt: Showdown. Read More...
