Homefront: The Revolution Lives On & We Have More Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
At Gamescom 2015 Homefront: The Revolution made its first major showing since E3 2014 and it looks like Homefront is in the right hands still The last major update we had for Homefront: The Revolution was that it was being delayed until spring of 2016 and that was after almost a whole year of silence while it was being developed on. This could have been because the developer changed over to Dambuster Studios in the madness going on around Homefront at the time but still that was the last we heard. I though it a good thing but many others thought that it spelled out that Deep Silver may have been canceling Homefront: The Revolution and it would never see our PS4, Xbox One, or PC at all. E3 2015 Impressions — The Technomancer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Was Able To See The Technomancer In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Yet another title on the list of "those who tried to blow their wads before E3" would be The Technomancer since we all had a nice look and quite a bit of information handed to us before the expo even began. Thankfully though it looks like Spiders Games and Focus Home Interactive decided to leave some of the best for a behind closed doors-esque showing of The Technomancer. I state that because pretty much the whole video presentation that was shown can be seen below. Read More...

E3 2015 Hands On — Blood Bowl 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of June 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Was Able To See Blood Bowl 2 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It E3 isn't always about the biggest and best AAA titles but also little gems like Blood Bowl 2. This would be the fantasy, strategy title from Cyanide Studios and Focus Home all set around an epic football game where there are little to no rules that need to be abided by. At least when it comes to the safety of the players on the field. Fans of the franchise should already be well aware of all of that for Blood Bowl 2 but none the less I was able to get my hands on it at the show well before the September release date for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. Welcome To Noctis, The Free City, Of Technomancer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New screenshots for Technomancer have been released to give us all a small taste before the big E3 showcasing of Technomancer Technomancer was announced a little while back with only a few screenshots and a description to go off. Spiders Games have yet to make any time that I have been able to write home about but Technomancer still looked to have a bit of promise. At least more than I felt that Bound By Flame delivered on but still being burned by that title, pun intended, I overlooked Technomancer in favor of other titles. It's kind of how the video games industry goes when it comes to things like this. Read More...

The Beautiful Chaos Of Blood Bowl 2 In Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have a new gameplay trailer for Blood Bowl 2 and it shows how the Chaos All-Stars could play a game of football… Until now I have not been completely sold on Blood Bowl 2. It just looked like one of those games that were really targeted toward a very small subgroup of gamers. Most likely not the truth but that is how it has come across to me since the game was first announced by Focus Home. Now we have a new trailer out for Blood Bowl 2 and either they broadened the subgroup a bit or there is just something now that has caught my attention. Now I am ready to see what Cyanide is bringing with Blood Bowl 2. Read More...

Homefront: The Revolution Delayed Until 2016 But Still In The Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of March 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
Deep Silver announced a new development studio under their wing and that they are at full speed developing Homefront: The Revolution For those who have been wondering about the status of Homefront: The Revolution, wonder no more. Deep Silver announced today that they have a new developer on board and they are hard at work to knock Homefront: The Revolution out of the park next year on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux platforms. The developer here being Dambuster Studios which was founded in July 2014, in Nottingham, UK, and is comprised of a majority of veterans from Crytek UK. So it sounds like most of who was already working on Homefront: The Revolution in the first place. Read More...

Review: Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Styx: Master Of Shadows. Is this the Thief game that I've been begging for or just another flop? I've covered quite a bit on Styx: Master Of Shadows over the last few months and it is time to see if the game is worth picking up on your PS4, Xbox One, or PC. That's right. It is time that for me to actually play and review Styx: Master Of Shadows and let you know if it lived up to the hype Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide were hoping to build up for it. Just like I am building up the anticipation for the below video review for Styx: Master Of Shadows. I could just keep writing here to keep said anticipation going but instead I'll give you the ten minute review of Styx: Master Of Shadows. Read More...

A plethora of new 'behind the scenes' videos for Styx: Master Of Shadows have been released as well as the game's Release Date If you've been reading over the last few weeks you will have seen much on Styx: Master Of Shadows from Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive. If you've been reading a lot longer than that then you also know that I am a fan of seeing how our beloved games are actually made. Well it looks like we are all in for a treat here as we have not one, not two, or three, but four new behind the scenes videos for Styx: Master Of Shadows. Yea, there is a whole lot here to see what went into their PS4, Xbox One, and PC title. Read More...

The Many Faces Of Death In Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Another new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows us some of the ways we can die while playing the game Still no official release date for Styx: Master Of Shadows on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC but we do have a nice montage of a few ways that Styx will and can die in the game. Isn't that lovely? Well, at least it is something to show Cyanide an Focus Home haven't forgotten about all of us who are looking forward to Styx: Master Of Shadows. Time is running out though at least if they want mass spread knowledge of the game in the mix of all of the other big names coming out in the next few months. Maybe that is just me… I guess we'll just have to take solace in the fact that we have yet another gameplay trailer to watch for Styx: Master Of Shadows. Read More...

Styx: Master Of Shadows & The Attack Of The Clone…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows has been released and focuses on the clone attack that Styx can employ We are coming up on the launch month for Styx: Master Of Shadows so it is time to see a bit more in depth on the special attacks and abilities that we will get to employ when we fire this bad boy up on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. We've seen how Styx can get all Assassin's Creed-like in the past so it is time that we see how he uses his own personal "co-op" to get around the castles and dungeons. This time we get to see the clone attack/ability for Styx: Master Of Shadows. Read More...

Time To Get Our Assassin On With Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows off the assassin gameplay as well as hints to a release date Up until now Styx: Master Of Shadows has been shown off as a stealth and Thief-like title but now it looks like there is a bit of Assassin's Creed brought into the mix with the latest gameplay trailer. This is a little bit of a shock to me as up until now it has been shown that Styx cannot handle multiple enemies and needs to stick to tricks and sneak attacks. I'll take it none the less as this looks to add yet another manner of gameplay to Styx: Master Of Shadows for all those out there who don't have the patience to take things slow and stealthy. Styx: Master Of Shadows Will Make You Believe In Goblins…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows has been released to show off the main goblin doing what he does best Last month we were able to re-watch the E3 gameplay for Styx: Master Of Shadows and it looks to be the perfect Thief-like game to me. Now we have a nice little extra look at a bit of gameplay and a bit more on the story that will be taking place during the game. It isn't all that much more but it is something for what I am seeing as a sleeper hit coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this upcoming September. I just kind of wish we had a more direct release date for the game but we have the month at least. Read More...

More Space Marines With Space Hulk: Deathwing On The PS4, Xbox One, & PC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of June 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new 'summer' trailer has been released for Space Hulk: Deathwing coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC If you have an illness and the only cure is more space marines then look no further than Space Hulk: Deathwing. This is the latest in the Space Hulk franchise, at least in the video game world, and it definitely looks like it is going to have a cure for that illness. As if there weren't already enough of those franchises coming out later this year or in 2015 but different stokes for different folks I guess. You can take that phrase in whatever way you want but I meant it in the most Puritanical way that I know. Read More...

Styx: Master Of Shadows Looks To Be The Thief Game We Wanted
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
With the E3 demo for Styx: Master Of Shadows being released we can see how it can be a better Thief game than Thief turned out to be Here we go with Styx: Master Of Shadows, yet another little gem I missed out on at E3 due to time constraints. Luckily, like many other titles, the demos and gameplay didn't stay at the convention for long and now we get a nice 14 minute look at the gameplay for Styx: Master Of Shadows. This title has only recently made it onto my Gamedar and that makes me a little sad. Just by watching this gameplay demo alone would have been enough before to get my interest going but I am only one being and my attentions are already drawn all over. Read More...
