Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week has come to a close and this one was packed with way more than expected with what is coming in the next week for all of our video games. That being Gamescom is in the works and one would think that studios and publishers would have held back. Thankfully, that was not the case with a whole lot dropping for Call Of Duty, Alien: Rogue Incursion, and Five Nights At Freddy’s. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, this was a much bigger week for video games than we could have expected, but a solid one still. After SDCC and now the upcoming Gamescom, I was under the impression it was going to be a slower one, between Call Of Duty and Epic Mickey, we had a whole lot drop on us and with massive names in the mix. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead and Gori: Cuddly Carnage also got a nice highlight out there and then there is the Five Nights At Freddy’s celebration going on add into so much out there. Occultist Take on a new supernatural world with The Occultist as we get to see just what this occultist might be able to do out there Well, it looks like the horror of the world will still carry on into 2025, not a huge surprise, but at least we will have The Occultist to help with all of that. No, I am not talking about the specific Hellscape that we find ourselves in right now, but the world that DALOAR and Daedalic Entertainment are building for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for 2025. Even if it would be a nice change of pace to see this kind of survival horror out there in the world instead of the one we have now. Tarsier Studios Tarsier Studios is working on another title out there for us and it looks like it could be linked to other Tarsier Studios’ productions It has been a few years since we heard anything out of Tarsier Studios and any new projects they may be working on, and we are going to need to wait a little longer. Unless you take the very small teaser that something is coming that was shared during the THQ Nordic showcase as something big for now. Sadly, it is not but it does indicate that Tarsier Studios has something in the works and we will learn about it during Gamescom here soon. Read More...

Lies Of P Take in some of the weapons of Lies Of P as well as the Legion Arm we will use in Lies Of P We have had demos and we have had many little looks at Lies Of P and the weapons we will have in the game before now. Why not have one more look at all of them, right? That is the thought behind the latest we have here from Round8 Studio for the game as September 19th creeps up on us and gets us ready for the full drop on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not only the weapons of Lies Of P, though, as we also have a look at some of the various upgrades and changes we will have for the Legion Arm in the game too. Jusant There is some new gameplay for Jusant out there along with the release date announcement for Jusant in October It was not that long ago that we had a little more for Jusant out there to get us all ready to climb again. Now, just out of Gamescom 2023, we have just a bit more for the game from DON’T NOD as we gear up to see how it will all flow on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it launches. A release date we now have for Jusant with the game landing on October 31st of this year. Mortal Kombat We are about to head into Mortal Kombat with the opening cinematic we are going to get in Mortal Kombat 1 While we had some fun looks at Mortal Kombat 1 during Gamescom 2023 and had a few more characters confirmed for the game, we had one more big thing flow out there before the September 19th release date for the game. A nice little bit that could potentially hype us all up for what NetherRealm Studios is working on or spoil some of the game for us. Luna Abyss New footage for Luna Abyss brings us closer to what we are going to fully get when Luna Abyss launches The gameplay keeps on flowing out of Gamescom 2023 after it has wrapped up and here we go with another taste of what is to come for Luna Abyss. This is a bullet-hell title that is coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC that is looking to place Bonsai Collective on the map out there. All while giving us a fun, new, and interesting story to fight our way through out there. All so we can try to earn our freedom in Luna Abyss and walk out a free person. Read More...

Tekken The release date for Tekken 8 is now set with a lot more shown off to us all for Tekken 8 too It slipped out there during Gamescom 2023, but we finally have the release date for Tekken 8 out there and more than just having a 2024 timeline. It falls about when we were expecting for it all, but Bandai Namco has finally confirmed that we will be seeing the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming January 26th, 2024. Yes, it will be early in 2024 and we will have so much to do in Tekken 8 too. Cyberpunk The next big update for Cyberpunk 2077 will bring us closer to the original vision with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty In just under a month now, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC will be dropping out there to bring us all back for one more run through Night City and with a whole new story to take in. There is a massive story that it feels like CD Projekt RED is finally getting to tell in this new DLC, but it also looks as if they might be getting closer to the version of Cyberpunk they wanted to release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The way it should have been before all of the dumb fans and investors forced their hand to release the project which almost brought the developer down completely. Read More...

Little Nightmares It has been announced that more of the Little Nightmares are on the way with the reveal of Little Nightmares III The nightmares keep on going with the announcement we have for Little Nightmares III fresh out of Gamescom 2023. The next big installment to the adventure horror IP out there and this time coming from Supermassive Games as they are some great masters of horror in general. This time with two new characters in the world of Little Nightmares and with all manner of other horrible things chasing us down in the mix. Assassin’s Creed A new look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage gives us a look at more familiar things for Assassin’s Creed with a fun little extra It would not be a massive Gamescom this year if we did not get something new to look at for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Well, more for the IP that we have been getting close to every year from Ubisoft for a while now, but this is just the next in the line. Hellboy The release date for Hellboy Web Of Wyrd is set with Hellboy coming at us all this coming October now In a fun little shocker out there for us all out of Gamescom 2023, it looks like we finally have a release date for Hellboy Web Of Wyrd. The fun-looking new rogue-lite title from Upstream Arcade has only had a short little stint in the new circuits, but that seems to mean that the team had it mostly ready to go before letting it out there into the world.
