Blade Runner While out at SDCC we had a chance to check out the Blade Runner 2049 off-site event. Here's what we experienced for Blade Runner 2049 at SDCC 2017 Given that Blade Runner 2049 will be hitting theaters soon, October 6th, it makes sense that there would be a big thing out at SDCC to show it all off and build even more hype for the film. A big thing it was too as one of the larger parking lots near the convention center was taken over by a massive tent that only displayed the film's name but held many fun things inside; that is if you were willing to wait in the extremely long lines to get in. The Tick While out at SDCC we had a chance to check out The Tick Takeover off-site event. Here's what we experienced for The Tick Takeover at SDCC 2017 Out at San Diego Comic Con there was a huge push for The Tick's new live action TV series and all the bells and whistles that go with that. It makes perfect sense given the source material coming from the pages of the comics, the convention in general, and the fact that Amazon would really want to push to get as many people looking at the new show as possible. That is of course why they took over a large portion of the off-site real estate out there and set up The Tick Takeover for fans new and old to come and experience what the show would be bringing and also give us all kind of a real world video game to play in the mix. Resident Evil The re-release of Resident Evil Revelations is heading to the PS4 and Xbox One here soon so we can have almost the Resident Evil titles on the current gen systems It has just been announced that Resident Evil Revelations is getting re-released in North America for the PS4 and Xbox One. Yes, Capcom has yet another title in the franchise coming back out as we all wait for the DLC for the most recent addition to it all. Assassin's Creed A new comparison video for Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection has popped up to show us just how much better the past Assassin's Creed titles will look now Next week we will see the Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection finally hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Outside of words and a small announcement for the bundle though Ubisoft has yet to really show us the work that has gone into the games that will be coming in the bundle. Sure, Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations looked great for their time and we would expect by November 15th that there would be vast improvements to the games; we have just yet to see them. Neverwinter It has just been announced that Neverwinter is making the move over to the PS4 and all of Neverwinter's expansions will be coming with it It looks like the PS4 crowd is finally going to get a great taste of Dungeons & Dragons as Neverwinter is finally making its debut on the platform. Only a few years after Cryptic brought the MMO to the PC and a year after it made its way to the Xbox One but none the less it is coming. It looks like we have a story trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for those who may not have played any of the Uncharted titles before and want a crash course. It could also before any of those fans out there who are looking to pick up Bluepoint Games' version of the Uncharted franchise on the PS4 and want to have a quick refresher before it launches. A new developer diary of sorts for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has been released and details out how Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is a very British Apocalypse Well Everybody's Gone To The Rapture hits the PS4 in a few weeks on August 11th. We've seen some good things for it up until now and it looks like The Chinese Room has created an amazing experience in storytelling with the game. I have yet to play any part of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture but I have seen so many little videos and explanations that I feel that I get what the game is going for and what we all will most likely experience; even if Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is not an apocalypse story that was designed for someone with my background. A new video of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection version of Uncharted 2 in action has been released for us to see why we need to buy this package Because we are an impatient bunch and need to see something from the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection months before it lands on the PS4 we have some new and improved gameplay from Uncharted 2 from said collection. Now we can all see if outsourcing the upgrades and conversions to Bluepoint Games is going to pay off when all is said and done. A new teaser trailer for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has been released with the best information being the released date for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture It feels kind of weird as this could have been a better part of the E3 announcements but now we have a release date for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. I'm not going to complain because I been overly intrigued with what The Chinese Room and Santa Monica Studios have been cooking up for the game since it first came on the scene but this announcement, and trailer, feel like it would have been better placed during the larger PlayStation conference in a few days where it would get to stand with all of the other PS4, PS3, and PS Vita titles that will be on display. One of the worst kept secrets in the way of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has been confirmed and will house all of the Uncharted goodness As it has been said, we asked for it and now we are getting it; Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is coming and it will be a PS4 remastering of all of the titles in the console franchise of Uncharted. Note I said console franchise as Bluepoint Games is only doing the work for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference Square Enix showed of their Witch Chapter 0 to show the power of DirectX 12 There is no doubt that Square Enix has always been on the leading side of computer graphics and rendering in the gaming world but with their most recent tech demo Witch Chapter 0 [cry] they were able to show off where we can expect to see our next games to go from them. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference this week showed off said tech demo to show how DirectX 12 can be used to do some truly amazing things visually. In the case of their Witch Chapter 0 [cry] demo it showed how we could get some of the best real-time CG rendering that has been able to pull off a damn impressive CG version of someone crying.
