This Week In Video Games 11/24/14 — 11/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The biggest take away for this week in video games would have to be Evolve, Reviews, and Telltale. When you look at the list of what we were able to cover this week in video games then it should be easy for you to see just about that. There were a few deviations from that list of items there but with American Thanksgiving and Black Friday causing so many hiccups in the news streams not many other developers and publishers had much in the way of news and updates for their titles. I am sure that will not be the case for the next few weeks given what is coming up in the world of video games. Read More...

Here's our review on how they did The first episode and debut of Tales From The Borderlands is now here. This has been one of those most talked about titles and fans of the Borderlands franchise have been questioning its worth since the first announcement about a year ago. This is a huge franchise with a lot of rabid fans so Telltale had their work cut out to make Gearbox's franchise prosper in a non-FPS way. Did they hit the nail on the head or is this just another QTE sit and watch a predictable plot. Read More...

The final behind the scenes video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been released from Gearbox and 2K Games to show off all the weapons and beyond for the game We are on the verge of the release for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and it is time to wrap up this whole behind the scenes look at how and why Gearbox and 2K are making the game. With that we also get a nice look at the design and ideas behind all of the weapons we have grown to love in Borderlands and Borderlands 2 as well as what we are to expect in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Yes they've gone over the new weapon types and everything umpteen times before but this time it is more the look and feel instead of the actual effects and damage numbers that get output to the screen. Is It Butt-Slam Or Butt-Stomp In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The next episode of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel behind the scenes series is out and covers some of the game's mechanics Here we go with part two of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel "making of" YouTube series. Part One covered how the two studios were handling the workload and physical separation. Part two here looks to cover some of the ne mechanics that will make Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel feel like a Borderlands game but "take risks" Gearbox and 2K didn't want to take in the previous titles. Hooray for being guinea pigs with something the publisher didn't have faith in two times already… Ok, well maybe not something they didn't believe in but something that the people making Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel have had time to perfect to give us that added bonus while playing. We wondered what it would be like to enter into the Borderlands and Nerdist gave us that chance with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Las Tag at SDCC San Diego Comic Con was not only filled with gaming/geek news this year but it was also filled with loads of amazing experiences to promote and excite fans all around. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was not going to be left out of this as the event out there in San Diego was the perfect place to show off how awesome the game can be. Even more so when 2K Games teams up with the Nerdist crew to bring us all a way to play a live Borderlands game via laser tag and some amazing set pieces that looked like they were lifted from the game. This Week In Gaming 7/7/14 — 7/11/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming There goes one more week of gaming news in the bag. It felt like a very directed week for gaming news if you do ask me but then again we give you what we get. Also when we get it…as long as it fits in our theme of gaming news here on the site. Granted not all of the news we have is 100% gaming related but that is splitting hairs where we don't need to be. Back to my "directed" comment. Read More...

Nerdist Is Taking Us Into The Borderlands At SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
Just announced as part of the outside SDCC events is the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel laser tag arena hosted by Nerdist Not to be left out of the fun of SDCC in now Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel brought to us by Carl's Jr 2K Games and Nerdist. It looks as if they didn't want to miss out on the fun of having something like The Walking Dead Escape at the convention this year so they are bringing us a Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel themed Laser Tag arena for fans to go crazy Broadway style in. Maybe I should say "go crazy Borderlands style" instead but to each their own. During the entire convention we will all be able to be in the Borderlands co-op via laser tag from 11am to 5pm. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Check out the new behind the scene video produced for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel We got to see the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel E3 Demo earlier this week so why not hop in and see how all of that was made. Or at least see how part of it was made with the following "Behind The Scenes" video that has just been released to the public and internet today. It's a nice and short little video that shows how Gearbox, 2K Marin, and 2K Australia have teamed up to bring us Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel instead of Borderlands 3. Don't get too excited to see new footage for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel here though as it is filled with all of the goodies that beings like me love, the technical stuff. Read More...

Here Is The 15 Minute Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Demo From E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A narrated version of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel E3 demo has been released for those who may have missed it Last week we had the short "Survival Tips" video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Now we have all the goodies that we actually were able to play on the floor at E3. I swear 2K is trying to keep the wonderment of E3 going as Evolve received all the limelight there and not their other titles. No matter the case though, they have taken it upon themselves to give us a little slice of the level and mission that they had to show. Spoiler alert, it looks like Borderlands in space with a few new gizmos and elements. Read More...
