The next Mafia title is on the way to us with the full announcement we have for Mafia: The Old Country out of Gamescom Just as the rumors were speculating, we have the announcement for Mafia: The Old Country fresh out of Gamescom to keep the IP flowing on out there. It is another fun entry from Hangar 13 along with 2K again, but this one will not be pushing us all forward in time. In fact, when this Mafia games comes out in 2025, it will be taking us a bit further back in time than expected on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Hence the subtitle of the game. Read More...

The release date for Marvel Rivals is set down with a few more characters joining the roster for Marvel Rivals Fresh off the heels of the closed beta and right at the opening of Gamescom this year, Marvel Rivals now has a full release date for us to look forward to. A date that is not as far off as many would have thought with how much more NetEase Games was looking to put into the game. A release date that will allow all who want to play this free-to-play game on December 6th with their PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A solid little update for Marvel Rivals, but that is not where it all ended for this one either. Read More...

Another Borderlands is on the way with Borderlands 4 getting a full announcement during Gamescom this year While it seems like it was held well under wraps before now, we have the full announcement that Borderlands 4 is on the way and coming in 2025. The writing was kind of on the wall with some of the other versions of the IP that Gearbox has been pushing out there but they took to Gamescom with 2K to show it all off. Something I am sure they were hoping would have made a bigger splash with the recent release of the Borderlands film, hence another of the clues that hinted that this was going to be an announcement. I am getting off the topic though. Read More...

The official look at Directive 8020 is finally here with Directive 8020 taking the Dark Pictures Anthology more Sci-Fi After a solid tease of things a long while ago, we finally have something more to look at for Directive 8020. This would be the next story in The Dark Pictures Anthology that Supermassive Games has been working on in the past. We had a tease that showed that the game would be leaving the more supernatural element of horror in this next wave and going a bit more Sci-Fi. Something that strikes home well after the release of Alien Romulus and the many other titles going that way. Read More...

Stay in torpor longer for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 as it looks like we have yet another delay for Bloodlines 2 At this point, it is starting to feel like we are going to need to be an immortal vampire to live long enough to play Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. The game has, sadly, been hit with yet another delay out there and we are not going to be seeing what The Chinese Room has for u until 2025. It is quotes as being the first part of 2025, so there is a bit of good news for those who have been holding out for Bloodlines 2 still. Read More...

A new update for Capes is bringing us all some new challenges for our Capes to level up for A fun, new update for Capes is out there for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Not just one that improves a few things for the game but one that sees Spitfire Interactive dropping more content into the game for us to experience. Well, more of a reason to head back into the game as more content does allude to their being new story missions or other Capes to play as in the game. This new update, while it might not have any of that, does open up one more great way to level up our teams in the game and give us other combat challenges to handle in the world. Read More...

We get to tiptoe back into Silent Hill with a new trailer showing off some of the story coming in the Silent Hill 2 Remake It always feels weird to offer up a look at the story for a remake, but here we go with a new trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake that is going to do just that. That is at least the title of it all, but it is more of a showcasing of how Bloober Team is taking what Konami did before and trying to make it their own. We still have the same town of Silent Hill to wander through and many of the same monsters, but here we can see how the characters have shifted a bit and get a nice recap of the basics of the story. A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week has come to a close and this one was packed with way more than expected with what is coming in the next week for all of our video games. That being Gamescom is in the works and one would think that studios and publishers would have held back. Thankfully, that was not the case with a whole lot dropping for Call Of Duty, Alien: Rogue Incursion, and Five Nights At Freddy’s. That last one is having a nice little celebration, so that makes sense, but video games like Mortal Kombat 1 feel like they could have waited for the hyped-up week to drop this new information. A new look at KARMA: The Dark World is out there to get us ready for the October release for KARMA: The Dark World It feels like it has been a long time since we heard about KARMA: The Dark World coming out there. In fact, the last time we had something major to offer up, the game was named slightly differently. It looks like Pollard Studio, though, has been putting in a whole lot of work during all of that time and has Wired Productions ready to drop KARMA: The Dark World out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this October. When in October? Read More...

See how the Star Wars universe is getting expanded with the latest we have for Star Wars Outlaws It is time to take flight and start exploring the underbelly of Star Wars Outlaws again. This time, though, it is more in the different planets of the galaxy that we will explore as Massive Entertainment aims to offer up some that we have never seen before. All to give us new biomes and various other enemies to fend off against in the game while also expanding the Star Wars universe just a bit more. At least as much as Ubisoft will be allowed to do when the game lands on August 30th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...

New gameplay that allows Treyarch to show off not only the gunplay we all knew was coming but many of the returning and new features on the way to shake things up beyond just the story. The robots are back in Mortal Kombat as we get to see Cyrax in action with some new gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Khaos is about to reign in just over a month and here we go seeing more of the new characters and story coming to Mortal Kombat 1 with this new expansion. We had some teases for Noob Saibot and Sektor already, but today is the day that NetherRealm Studios is ready to give us a solid look at Cyrax in the mix. A new take on the character while still leaving in enough to keep them close to the original concept. Not the version we have seen in Mortal Kombat 1 so far with a Kameo, but the full new playable version landing on September 24th when it all hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
