Now although the number was only 669*, I can assure you that the total number of people qualified at the con was in the 1,000s.I was proud to be amongst the many who went through an afternoon of choas to get the job done. Congratulations to everyone out there who participated!! Read More…

by Andy [ Monday, 2nd of June 2008 - 07:13 PM ]
Funcom is proud to announce that Age of Conan rises to number 1 on the PC charts, and the game even competes very well on the all-format lists. The normal edition is now sold out in many outlets due to the initial success of the game, and Funcom aims to resupply new boxes as fast as possible. With more than half a million customers, Age of Conan is already one of the biggest ever western MMO games, and this happens just a week after launch. In Germany, Age of Conan is #1 on all-format and PC, while the console-orientated UK market has Conan as #2 on the all-format charts, only beaten by the GTA 4 juggernaut. The game is the biggest launch for a PC title this year in the UK with a firm # 1 placement on the PC charts, and the game had the biggest ever MMO launch - outside of the World of Warcraft franchise. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of May 2008 - 04:34 PM ]
Video: Guitar Hero IV Demo I was perusing Kotaku.com and stumbled across this little gem. I almost busted a gut when I watched the stuff leading up to the actual demo of the game. One quote in particular. I'll wait until after you watch the video before I slap it out for you. It is awesome. Here's the Video.     Ok, now that you've had a chance to watch the video, or at least I am making the assumption. Did you catch the quote, "This is the first time you will be able to play all the instruments," said by the Activision CEO Robert Kotick. Read More…

by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 06:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. Much better than the March of '09 release that was originally slapped on this title. Now why would this be the case? On the official Resident Evil Website a weird count down has been placed on the front end of the site. Read More…

You Are Rock Stars!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of May 2008 - 08:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero Expert Beats Dragonforce Record Score You have no clue how hard it was not to use the line from South Park for the title of this news article. No clue at all. But I figured I would get a bunch of hate PMs or The Hammer dropped or be called a Hater. :) (Search the blogs for the reference there. :) ) So yea, lets get on with this shin dig. Even though I have voiced a preference for Rock Band over Guitar Hero, it does not stop me from giving credit where credit is due. Read More…
