I will start this Behind The Curtain off with a spoiler alert as it does show a bit into the upcoming BioShock Infinite — Burial At Sea Episode 2 DLC. The below video also has a nice little warning system just in case you were still brave and needed one more chance to not spoil anything in this DLC. In the interest of not spoiling as well, here is what we get to see in the below trailer. The big news is that BioShock Infinite — Burial At Sea Episode 2 will be released on March 25th. Read More...

Story Time: Thief — Stories From The City [Thief Taker General]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of February 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have a new story trailer for Thief. This one focuses on the Thief Taker General and why he does what he does. Thief is quickly approaching its launch date. Everything I have seen to date pretty much mimics the gameplay of multiple other game. Not a big deal as long as Eidos-Montréal has lifted the better part of the gameplay but that does mean that they really need to focus on story of this Thief if they want to keep the franchise going and the fans happy. Usually it is the innovation in my book that does that for a franchise but I am also a different cat than the rest of you. The usual drivel for Thief out of the way now, here we have a bit more of the game's story. Read More...

Looks Like Dying Light Is Taking A Page From The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
There is a new trailer for Dying Light that focuses on the 'Human' element of the game and who the real monsters are… As has been seen multiple times over, Dying Light is mostly about free running and surviving the end of the world by zombies. There has always been the human element in the trailers and gameplay shown but now it looks like Dying Light is showing off how other NPC humans in the game are going to be as messed up as some of the greatest characters in The Walking Dead universe. Which is cool, but it kind of changes what I thought Dying Light was going to be all about. Mind you, not in a bad way but in some way. Read More...

Review: The Wolf Among Us - Episode Two
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Wolf Among Us - Episode Two. It's been a while since we picked up with Bigby and crew so lets see if the wait was worth it. It seems like it has only been a few months since the last episode of The Wolf Among Us, which seems like a bit of madness. It's been close to five months to be a little more exact. Given that you would think that Telltale would have a nice, long, and amazing addition to the episodic adventure. Well let's dig into it and see if the wait and money was worth it for The Wolf Among Us — Episode Two: Smoke & Mirrors. Read More...

Here Is A Little More For The Evil Within Straight From Japan
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 6th of February 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have a new PS4 trailer fresh from Japan and it happens to have a bit more from The Evil Within. Or Psycho Break as it is called over there. Hey horror fans! If you are like me then you have been keeping an eye on The Evil Within or Psycho Break coming from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. It is also the title being helmed by Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame. You should know this by now as it has been covered on the site multiple times already. I guess that makes all of this a bit redundant and useless. Read More...

The Amazing Toys Made For Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Here is a nice video clip showcasing what looks to be the entire boss fight for the Toy Maker in Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2. Spoiler alert if you can't understand that. So the title is a bit of a misnomer but none the less we have a nice new video for Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2. It features a character that was first introduced in Castlevania Lords Of Shadow — Mirror Of Fate; the Toy Maker. Don't fear if you still have no clue who that is by the way. The below video seems to pretty much give you what you need to know for CLoS2 as well as the entire boss fight from the looks of it. Read More...

Here Is How You Can Become The Master Thief…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Thief has gone gold and we are now getting our Master Thief 101 course. Well more like a "here's what to expect in the game" course. It is now official. Thief has gone gold and will be seeing our consoles and PCs soon. Soon as in February 25th for us here in North America and days afterward for everyone else not in Japan. So with that announcement of course we get a new game trailer for Thief but not the typical one. In fact this is more of what to expect in the game instead of a bunch of hype video to get you excited. Read More...

We Have Leads On Murdered Soul Suspect's Next Gen Platforms
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
It has just been revealed that Murdered Soul Suspect will be coming to next gen consoles as well. Also, we have a lead as to the official launch date for the game. So yesterday (2/3/14) it was revealed that Murdered Soul Suspect would be coming to the Xbox One. In fact, there was a nice long video showing off the game on Microsoft's latest baby. There were also a few other cool things that were shown that I will bring up in a bit. What was less gone over is the fact that Murdered Soul Suspect is also slated for a PS4 release as well but that wouldn't come from the Xbox One video but the latest from Airtight Games; which I have also included below. Let's Re-cap Final Fantasy XIII Before Lightning Returns Comes Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of February 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Square Enix has given us a nice little recap of the whole story of Final Fantasy XIII up until now. Just in time for Lightning Returns. I am not one for the 'retro' gaming thing but I would be lying if I didn't get a kick out of the latest re-cap video for Final Fantasy XIII. It is all set up so that anyone who has yet to play Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy XIII 2 can get a run down before Lightning Returns comes out and that they shouldn't need to play the other titles to be able to shell out their cash for the new game. Ok, so that was a lie. While the eight minute video for Final Fantasy XIII is a fun re-cap, there are so many things that are glossed over in the story here. Read More...

A new NSFW trailer for The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 title Smoke & Mirrors has surfaced. Are you looking forward to the new episode? As has been announced, episode two of The Wolf Among Us is coming to our chosen platforms and countries this week. Any who have played the first episode or have read ahead on the game should know that it is titled Smoke & Mirrors. It should also hopefully pick up where the last episode left off in the action and excitement area too. At least that is the hope although it doesn't look like we will be hoping too much given the below trailer for the new episode. Read More...

Thief Looks Like It Is Full Of Loot And Moral Victories
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of January 2014 - 09:22 PM ]
We have some new screen shots for Thief as well as a bit about how you are urged to take the moral high road during gameplay. There is even a Trophy/Achievement involved… So when you hear a game title like Thief you don't normally think that there will be any sort of positive moral values or overtones. I mean it should be a game about stealing things from people who have too much or just what you want. You know, embodying the concepts of greed and envy; two things that are not usually considered traits of the morally upright. Read More...

A Not-So-Exclusive Look At The Burial At Sea: Episode Two
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of January 2014 - 04:48 PM ]
The second episode of the Burial At Sea DLC of BioShock Infinite has a new and 'Exclusive' trailer out. If you don't care about minor spoilers then check it out. I will still go on record and state that I was not a big fan of the BioShock Infinite story but the Burial At Sea DLC has kind of attracted my interest. Not because it is back in rapture, but it seems to have what the first two titles had; an interesting and creative storyline. Granted I have yet to play the DLC yet and only have the trailers to work off so I could be way wrong. Read More...
