Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did It's time to kick off yet another season for Minecraft: Story Mode as the first episode has dropped on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices with it coming soon to the Switch. All of this is something you should have known by now, but none the less Telltale Games is back at it trying to give us a great story set in the universe that Mojang has crafted that only has stories if we so define them. At least that has always been my takeaway for Minecraft before now and enjoy seeing it through the lens of another. Read More...

Have A Taste Of Beyond Good & Evil 2's In-Engine Tech Demo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Beyond Good & Evil At E3, Beyond Good & Evil 2 was officially announced and now we can see Beyond Good & Evil 2 running in-engine as well as some of the scale of the game's universe There has been one title on a lot of gamer's tongues and minds for quite some time now and with the rumors all over the place it was not that big of a shock that Ubisoft brought out the big guns at E3 and gave the world confirmation that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is going to be a thing. A big thing at that as they gave it a nice, long CG announcement trailer to build all of the hype. Hype that was built so much that I ran into quite a few people on the floor hoping to see some actual gameplay footage for Beyond Good & Evil 2 in some form or another. Read More...

Super Nintendo World In Japan Is Officially Under Construction
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Nintendo A recent event was held by Nintendo and Universal Parks that kicked off the construction of the new Super Nintendo World While a lot of big gaming news will be coming out for Nintendo here in only a few days, it looks like there is another massive bit coming outside of E3 and the major conventions. Maybe you'll remember back to last year when Universal Parks made mention that they were building a video game themed area in three of their major locations starting with Japan. You may also remember that it was also revealed that it would be specifically Super Nintendo World that was going to be built and that nothing had moved forward since then. Read More...

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Looks To Have Been Leaked Out There
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Mario A new title, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, has been leaked out early and it looks to team Mario up with some Rabbids in a weird cross-over game With E3 almost here that means that the leaks should start flowing out there and it looks like we have one here for a new title called Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Originally it was just a leak of the key art showing that Ubisoft and Nintendo were working on some kind of cross-over between the two franchises, but now it looks like part of a presentation, presumably one for E3, has popped up with some of the slides showing off this Switch title just a bit more and just what we could expect from it. I'm sure that there will be more to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle during whichever event it will be shown off in, but here is what we can gather so far from just the few slides that have "leaked" out there. As of today (5/24/17) though, CD Projekt RED has opened the flood gates to allow everyone in on the beta as the public beta has kicked off. by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 16th of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft With Minecraft launching on the Switch there has been complaints that Minecraft only runs at 720p there, but is there a noticeable difference? I think it’s time we had a talk. I recently read an article about Minecraft coming to the Nintendo Switch. I always like when a game can come to a new platform so that more people can enjoy it and as of May 11th Minecraft can be enjoyed on the platform. The issue came later when I saw many people complaining that only runs in 720p. After digging deeper, it seems that the power of the Switch isn’t to blame but unforeseen technical difficulties with the game. Read More...

Assassin’s Creed New rumors for the next Assassin’s Creed title give it a name change, story details, and an RPG-like system for Assassin’s Creed now It is time to add even more rumors out there for the next Assassin’s Creed title that is on its way to us at some point. You want to know what could be possibly going on with the next Assassin’s Creed title. You may have noticed that I left off the Empire subtitle that was the previous rumored name from before. Rumor Has It We Could See Assassin’s Creed Empire Before The End Of 2017
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of March 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed A retail listing for Assassin’s Creed Empire has many thinking that we could see the next Assassin’s Creed title before the end of this year The rumor mill is back at it again and here we are with more Assassin’s Creed Empire rumors and speculation of sorts. That would be the assumed titled from all of the other leaked information for the next title in the franchise that Ubisoft has yet to confirm. None the less we are here because it looks like that time to confirm things is dwindling down as a Swiss retailer is already showing Assassin’s Creed Empire as having a release before the end of 2017. The fourth quarter of 2017 to be exact and seeing how the site is still listing it as of this article, it may be something to take a look at for now. Read More...

Nintendo A few new trailers for the Nintendo Switch have been placed out there to help us all set up our Nintendo Switch and access more features The Nintendo Switch is launching in only a few days, but I am sure you already knew that and have been amped up for it. It has been all the rage for some time to talk about as it does look like it could better blend console and mobile gaming just a bit more. While there have been a few doubts for the Nintendo Switch mixed into the excitement, we need to focus on the positive and be sure that we are all ready to open up the console and start playing it with as much ease as possible. It would suck to open up your Nintendo Switch and not be able to use it all within minutes and such. Read More...

Nintendo The download sizes for a few of the Nintendo Switch titles at launch have been revealed and one can't be saved to the Nintendo Switch without upgrade Hopefully you didn't plan on housing all or many of your Nintendo Switch titles digitally on the console directly out of the box as some of the upcoming title's download sizes have been revealed and it doesn't look good. With only 32GB of internal storage at launch, many gamers were already upset and wondering how many titles they could store without needing the cartridges that the physical versions will bring with them. Well, today we have a look at those sizes and it looks like the answer to how many titles the Nintendo Switch will be able to hold without any upgrade is…not that many. Read More...
